Google"If you want to get gazumped you're in the right place!" Several red flags here. First one was an offer we made that never made its way to the seller (only after we contacted the estate agent did we learn that no offer had been formally communicated to the seller). Second, and the most worrying one, is the fact that we made a generous offer, were told the property would not be further marketed, and Goodfellows and the seller still allowed for viewings to take place over the weekend. We got news that we had been 'gazumped' on Monday the following week as both the estate agent and seller allowed for further viewings. Interestingly enough, someone had offered just £5k above our offer which was already £15k above the original listed price. I wonder how the other buyer got to that value by themselves alone. Dear Joao Moreira we are very sorry that you are unhappy with our service to you, the property was marketed at Offers In Excess £400,000. We did have seven different interested parties and indeed your offer of £415,000 was of interest to the vendor but they chose to allow the other parties to view the property on Saturday and this resulted in an offer coming through which was higher than your offer. My colleagues called you to inform you that a higher offer had come through and gave you the opportunity to counter this offer but we understand that at that point you chose not to and subsequently withdrew your offer. We are sorry that you are unhappy with us but we have tried to communicate with you and unfortunately the current market does mean that the seller can chose from multiple offers and our role is to offer the seller that service, but we are disappointed that you feel that we did not communicate with you as that is also our role. GoogleSabrina at Goodfellows was recommended to me by a mutual friend when she heard of the problems that I had experienced with two other local agents. From the outset, I found Sabrina to be professional, approachable, efficient and friendly. Most importantly she was honest, transparent and dealt brilliantly with my unusual, complicated situation. It couldn’t have been easy to sell a property where the two owners weren’t speaking but both still lived in the property, but Sabrina never made me feel as if this was a problem for her. She remained diplomatic and considerate. The viewings were handled well and all pandemic regulations were adhered to. Communication before & after the viewings was excellent. They had to communicate with both parties separately but, again, Sabrina and team took this in their stride. I will happily be recommending Sabrina and the Goodfellows team to anyone looking to place their home on the market. If they dealt with our difficult situation so effortlessly, they can easily handle any property .

Lucy and Tony in the sales team really have taken a what feels like a very personal interest in ensuring that the transaction goes as smoothly as possible despite all the uncertainty in the World at the moment.
