GoogleTook 2 years to do solicitor work never answered the phone asked for a refund didn’t want to give payed £2,000 for solicitor costs and then spent £500 on surveys due to them not paying attention to my case had to renew them making me loose even more money & time. If you value your time don’t go to these SCAMMERS!!!!!!

GoogleFrom the first meeting to get our house valued to a deal being accepted Gilson Gray have been amazing. We got our home valued by Ben and was thorough when talking us through the different stages of the sale and very helpful when getting the home report and photos sorted too. Nicola got in contact with viewings and the service was again top quality! Would strongly recommend using them!

GoogleSlow, inefficient, incredibly hard to get in contact with. We were ignored for weeks and completely left in the dark despite many calls and emails; we couldn't be able to see the house a second time till the date of entry because we waited basically until the last couple of days to finally end the missives; for this reason we were forced to accept any inconvenience and problems with the property to avoid any risk of not getting the house and being homeless, for real. All of this caused expenses that we would have been able to avoid if only we had the time to organize everything, spending a lot more money than expected for a house that we love but was full of surprises. They deprived us of the joy in the process of buying our first home, making everything incredibly stressful and complicated.

GoogleArrangements were made on Tuesday with Nicki Geissler to view a property today. Turned up at the property, nobody to show us around. Phoned Gilson Gray only to be told that there had been an offered accepted earlier in the week. Fair enough, but no attempts were made by Gilson Gray to inform us and cancel the viewing. This is not only poor communication and service on the part of the agent but from a sellers perspective I’d be hacked off if I had viewers turning up at the door after I’d accepted an offer. We’ll be thinking twice before booking any future viewings with Gilson gray and it’s certainly put us off ever selling with them.

GoogleI purchased a property from my landlord in April 2025 and Gilson Gray oversaw the sale. While it was a relatively low maintenance sale, they still made the process very straightforward and, crucially, I found them easy to reach and engage with, which isn't always the case with solicitors! As someone from England navigating the Scottish house purchasing process, I was grateful for their walking through with me what was required. As in Scotland you need a solicitor early on in the house purchasing process, I'd recommend reaching out to them if you're starting afresh.
