GoogleWe didn't know Ruislip that well when we had to sell a cousin's house so choosing an estate agent was not easy. However, by good luck, we chose Gibbs Gillespie and have been so pleased we did. From the word go Lucy and her team were fantastic. They were highly efficient from the very outset when we needed a probate valuation through to taking their advice on selling as soon as the Covid 19 restrictions were eased in late May. The house sold in less than a week and what really impressed us was the excellent communication from both Lucy and Danielle. We always knew how the sale was progressing and had complete confidence that they were doing everything to ensure the sale went through as speedily as possible. Without doubt we would gladly use them again.

GoogleCommon estate agent tactic - as a buyer I avoid any properties listed by Gibbs Gillespie. The reason being is that they are more interested in selling mortgages than houses. On registering they ask you if you have your mortgage sorted, if you don't want the referral to their mortgage broker they aren't interested in you as a buyer. You will therefore not be registered with them and unable to view any properties.

GoogleGibbs Gillespie were absolutely fantastic throughout the sale and purchase of our property. The Ruislip Manor team were excellent from Tom, Jordan and Oliver who we initially dealt with when making the sale, through to Danielle who was outstanding at always making sure we were up to date with how our sale was progressing; she was such a reassuring voice on the end of the line, anytime. Even with the restrictions that Covid-19 has placed upon the housing market, we were fortunate to move within 6 months and that is credit to all the team at Gibbs Gillespie. Thank you!

GoogleI am rating a 5 purely based on the excellent, proficient, helpful and excellent customer service I received by Stefan when looking to rent a property in Pinner. He SHOULD BE a Manager, unlike one member of staff I experienced in his branch who was a Manager and should be trained by Stefan on customer service, who will remain nameless as I do not want to take away from the excellent review for Stefan. He is patient, honest, genuine and considerate and a trustworthy Agent in my humble opinion, if Head Office is reading this I think there needs to be a reshuffle and or promotion for this member of staff to Management. If it wasn't for Stefan my impression would of been more mediocre. Many thanks Stefan :)PositiveProfessionalism

GoogleAvoid - Ombudsman case won plus award for very poor service. Property Ombudsman (Case 21361) 3 of 5 complaints upheld, plus concern expressed regarding practice for a fourth complaint and compensation awarded accordingly. The following quotes are the findings of the Ombudsman. 1. Market Appraisal: "I do not consider that the approach taken here by GG to establish an appropriate asking price provides a sufficient explanation for the sum they initially recommended of £780,000 and then subsequently marketed at £750,000. They have not therefore met the requirements of Paragraph 4a of the Code as they should have conducted research into other sold properties nearer to the Property’s specifications"; 2. Viewings and Feedback: "Whilst there are a record of some of the feedback being conveyed by email, the majority appeared to be conveyed by telephone. There is no record of this within GG’s file and so there is insufficient evidence to support their claim that all feedback conveyed via this method was initiated by them. As such, I will support this complaint to that extent and make an award of compensation" In fact it mostly relied upon us to continually chasing for feedback and; 3. Offers "GG’s communication was somewhat lacking here and they could have been more proactive in terms of explaining the circumstances of the buyer sooner. This would have allowed the Complainants to be in receipt of all facts. GG should have also, in my view, provided an update (even if to just say they had not heard anything further) when the Complainants were expecting to receive this and responded sooner than they did to the update request from the Complainant. I recognise therefore that some aggravation has been caused here which merits an award"; 4. Security of Keys - not sufficient evidence for judgement, however when viewing the CCTV footage the ombudsman wrote: “I note the evidence of the video recording and can of course recognise your concern.” We wouldn't give one star but unfortunately a review with no stars is not possible.

GoogleSinead has been an absolute credit to Gibbs Ruislip. All throughout the process of trying to find a house, she has gone above and beyond what is normally required to inform us of any new properties on the market. Most of all, she is very open and honest, which is very hard to find these days. It just helped us to know where we stood when making offers etc. Thank you Sinead for all your help. I hope Sam knows how lucky he is to have you as part of the team! :)

GoogleI highly recommend Gibbs Gillespie, Ruislip Manor. From start to finish we were extremely impressed with the whole process. Lucy Attwood was professional, friendly and efficient. Our house was on the market for one day of Saturday viewings and we had an offer by the Monday. Danielle has been absolutely brilliant at managing out move. She has been great at communicating with us, chasing solicitors and keeping everyone informedn making the process much smoother than we anticipated. Highly recommend!

GoogleFrom our first meeting with Matthew we had confidence in his Professionalism and our judgement was not misplaced He delivered a Let inside a week as he had predicted I also felt comfortable dealing with the paperwork through Tilly, whom we are yet to meet, but found her to be very personable when speaking on the telephone, and would definitely use Gibbs in the future
