Absolutely dreadful agency! Do not use!

I had rented a property with Gatekeeper for around 18 months. On terminating the agreement, I was encouraged by Gatekeeper to pay charges that were not in the legal contract Gatekeeper had sent me when I moved in. Gatekeeper had no interest in acting on the tenants behalf and were absolutely happy to try and enforce fees that were outside of the signed, legal agreement. When I refused and sought legal advice, Gatekeeper tried to act as they were doing me a favour by allowing me to only pay the charges that were noted in the agreement.However, the checkout report was submitted with charges to be deducted from my deposit, which included actions that Gatekeeper told me not to worry about, they would sort... to then try and deduct from my deposit. So essentially, trying to screw me over.This was a means to recoup the fees the landlord wanted to charge me illegally, and Gatekeeper were clearly happy to oblige.I understand they are the middle-person, but there should be a responsibility to act fairly and in the best interests of both parties, not encouraging greedy landlords to charge fees not present in the contract.Again, I sought legal advice and refused to accept the charges that were not permittable.Don't get me wrong, they were petty with some and I should have covered myself with a full professional clean (although it was never contracted to do so), I should have played it safe.So long story short, I would not recommend anyone to use Gatekeepers services, based on their sole interest in filling their landlords pockets with unjust fees outside of the legal agreement you will sign.If you happen to be already stuck with them, I would ensure you check any fees put to you and just seek some form of advice because they will shaft you, in any possible way to line the pockets of the landlords.An agency solely focused on their commission from the landlords, regardless of how corrupt and unlawful their actions may be, putting the tenants they place into rented homes at a financial loss.

Very disappointing

Very disappointing. Moved in a dirty house despite it being confirmed that it would be cleaned. Then had an issue with the property which meant it was very cold. Was not supported by gatekeeper. This has cost me significant additional heating cost. Also reluctant to send customer feedback survey. Avoid.
