allAgentsFrosts managed several rented
Frosts managed several rented properties in the apartment block I used to live in and from the perspective of an owner/occupier who occasionally had issues with tenants, I found Frosts very efficient and helpful to deal with, much better than their rival agents who I also sometimes had to deal with. If I were ever to consider renting my flat out, Frosts would be my first choice agent.

Positives: Marketing was good. When they finally did find a buyer, they managed to get me the asking price, which I was very pleased with. Good with handling liason between myself and buyer/chain during the sale.
Negatives: Communication was poor at times. Viewings were few and far between. Didn't seem to do much until I was about to switch to a different agent. Expensive.

allAgentsI recently purchased my house
I recently purchased my house through Frosts. I found their agents to be extremely professional, in particular Lucy who maintained regular contact during our search (the only one of the estate agents to do so) and then provided regular communications and progress updates through to completion. This greatly facilitated the process and avoided unexpected delays. Overall, a great performance.

allAgentsExcellent Service from start
Excellent Service from start to finish. They sold our house for a good price within a week while we were on holiday. We have been kept informed of the progress of the sale throughout, and on the rare occasion we have needed to call the office for anything, we received a full response quickly if not immediately. I would highly recommend Frosts based on my experiences in dealing with them.

allAgentsWe recently bought and sold
We recently bought and sold through Frosts using the Marshalswick and St Albans offices. Frosts were great, in particular Justin, who had to deal with some tricky last minute negotiations. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Frosts.

allAgentsDealing with my Cousin's
Dealing with my Cousin's estate in St Albans from Taunton wasn't ideal. However, Frost's managed to achieve a better price for the property than I anticipated and kept me informed as the sale progressed. Rapidly identifying cash buyers, the sale proceeded to a satisfactory conclusion. I was impressed with Frost's willingness to carry out regular checks of the empty property on my behalf.

allAgentsAppalling customer service.
Appalling customer service. We've been fighting with our Landlord for the last two months over a deposit and it could all have been avoided hadn't their property management staff been so incompetent, not to mention rude over the phone and the most unhelpful I've ever seen in customer-facing jobs. And 10 days after vacating the property their rental agents still called us to arrange viewings. Other people may have had a good experience but to me a total disaster.

allAgentsAverage. Well-drafted (clear)
Average. Well-drafted (clear) tenancy agreement. Charge over the top for references, but not as bad as some. No 24 hour contact, meaning that they aren't available when emergencies happen, and won't refund you if you take your own action. When they are in, though, they get things done (although they could be quicker). If I were the landlord, I would want a 24 hour emergency contact number for my tenants - ours have suffered damage as a result of one not being available.

allAgentsTruely terrible! Put property
Truely terrible! Put property on Market in Oct 09. Sold within a week to someone who Frosts told me was a cash buyer. Turned out the buyer needed a mortgage and couldn't get one. Only found this out in Dec! Put property back on Market having already moved out! Property left vacant but still Frosts call to ask if we can be out for viewings! After 2 months I returned to property to find that door had been left unlocked and halogen spots left turned on!
Then in Jan, Frosts introduce another cash buyer. Same story. Then a first time buyer who again failed to have a mortgage! Finally sold after ten months.
I found them great when things were google well in the first week but elusive and dishonest when things went wrong. Most of their staff are hopeless with the exception of a couple, namely Louise and Christina. Thankfully I will never have to use them again. I'm very surprised that they survived the slump!
Save yourselves the hassle and go elsewhere!

allAgentsWe have been renting through
We have been renting through frosts for about 9 months now and not only is the house not living up to the standard the details said we have had numerous problems, trying to get them fixed is a real pain which takes far too long, we have been waiting 2 months for them to fix a broken garage door and it is always us which has to contact them. The final straw being this morning which they had booked viewings as they are trying to sell and after getting up early to clean the house we had to call them when they disn't turn up to find out it had been sold 2 days ago. They never do anything unless they are harrassed, incompetent is being nice to them, never use if you are renting they will make you miserable.

Actually, I've bought, sold and let through Frosts and I wouldn't use anyone else!!!
They are fast and efficient and go the extra mile to make sure you are looked after. I haven't the foggiest idea why anyone would use any other agent in St Albans. Other agents come and go, and they dangle the odd the carrot, but when you've already found the best you don't even consider them!

I suspect you may work for Frosts or maybe you just got lucky. I have had nothing but bad experiences in dealing with them. Unprofessional, uncoordinated and uninterested. It's astonishing they have survived the housing slump.

Frosts advised me that I could get a higher price than the other agents quoted, by having an open day. After 9 viewings in one day I had 3 offers, and sold for higher than the asking price. Their fee's are higher than the other agents who quoted me, but you get what you pay for, and in the end I was happy to pay.

I recently purchased a property in central St.Albans via another estate agent but i chose Frosts to let it, which they did within 2 days! I now have this and one other managed by Frosts and i find them to be professional and efficient. I may consider further additions to my portfolio in 2010 and i can not see any reason not to stay with frosts - a good job, well done!

allAgentsMy partner and I have
My partner and I have recently moved house, with Frost's being the agent to sell our last property. The past reviews seem a little strange, as we recieved a very good service.
Our property was with 2 different estate agents prior to being with Frosts. They brought round very few people claiming there were few people who wanted to view! It felt as though they weren't pushing for a sale.
When we went with Frost's it was a breathe of fresh air! A couple of open days were organised straight away, this didn't result in a sale, but they still managed to bring people almost every week to view the property. This resulted in a fairly swift sale. (Saying this, there was an agent who didn't seem to know anything about our place, resulting in us having to do all the talking during a viewing - which wasn't too impressive.)
Apart from this instance, they have been honest, and have always got back to us in good time if we have been unable to speak to our agent. Heather was our agent and is highly recommended.

allAgentsAn agent from Frosts took us
An agent from Frosts took us round a few properties; we liked one of them, so phoned back to put in an offer. The agent wasn't in, so we left a message 'that we'd like to put in an offer'. We weren't called back, so phoned again the following day. The same thing happened.
We took the hint: if they can't be bothered with basic customer service when you want to put in an offer, what chance that they will be reactive when you're a tenant and the boiler breaks down?

Shockingly poor service. I am a practising estate agent myself and I was appalled at the time it took them to do basic tasks like put an offer forward, attend viewings, provide information. I would not reccommend this agency to others.
