We were pleased with our main sales contact person, James, who did a good job relaying information to us on a timely basis and give us updates on progress. The back office team could have been a bit more pro-active in our communications as we have had to chase many times for progress updates.

Buying a property as such is a very long and tedious process especially when the waiting period is more than two months. However, at the same time when one gets support and up to date information from a person like Shelley Tristram, the job becomes easy. I found their services highly valuable, the whole process that seemed quite daunting at first especially for a first time buyer went extremely smoothly and without any issues. We were provided a Sales Progressor - Shelley Tristram and I have to mention she did not leave any stone unturned to make sure we get the property. She was constantly liaising with us, our solicitors and vendors solicitors to make sure nothing is slipped through and the whole legal process goes smoothly. My sales agent was James Burgess and the professionalism was outstanding. He explains everything well and helped me ascertain the property I wanted. The after sales agent was Shelley Tristran. She gave me weekly updates on where we got to in the whole process to purchasing the property.Any questions I asked she would answer and any that she did not now she would always call me back to follow up on. Prior to purchasing our property through Elliot Lee, we had already had 2 failed purchases on the day of exchange, both after a 5 month wait over the course of 2 years. (The second purchase was worse as we had made the decision to sell our property to get out of being in a chain, as the housing market was crazy at the time, but unfortunately greedy sellers and unscrupulous estate agents touting for business meant that we lost out a second time.)To say that we were fed up with sellers and the U.K. system was an under statement, and having been burnt twice, we entered this purchase with our eyes wide open, but willing to give Elliot Lee a chance. (The previous 2 estate agents that we dealt with in the area were absolutely shocking to say the least, with one far worse than the other, but sadly it's understandable why estate agents have the terrible reputation that they do.) After having our offer accepted by the vendor, we were handed over to Shelley Tristram, the Case Progressor. After explaining a little of our background experience to her, she went out of her way to assure us that she would do all that she could to ensure that we would be successful the third time around. Shelley was fantastic throughout, ensuring that she kept us up to date of progress. She definitely made the experience a whole lot more pleasant, and it really goes to show when estate agents employ people that actually want to help their customers, as some staff we have spoken to at other agents are just plainly, rude and dismissive. Shelley was an explemplarary Case Progressive, and even rectifying things when there had been mistakes and she kept true to her word in ensuring that she would see us through to completion. And it also greatly helped that the vendor was genuine and did not play any games, unlike others, who when they do so, make an already difficult process worse. Thank you to Shelley and the team at Elliot Lee, other agents could learn a lot from your service.

I recently went to view a property advertised by Elliot Lee in Wembley. The text messages & right move said £265,000 but on the day of open house the price was £280,000. The price cannot increase in a matter of 3 days. I applied for a mortgage and he valuation of the property came back as £250,000 which was £35,000 less than my offer of £285,000. I was advised by my mortgage valuation team and legal representative that Elliott lee had sold a flat in the same block for £245,700 a few weeks ago.
Dear Mr Mehta, Thank you for taking the time to leave your review. We welcome all comments and use these to continually improve our customers experience. We would like to respond to your comments below firstly, by clarifying a few points. The advertised price was a guide price of £265,000 where it was made clear on the advertising that offers would be expected to be in excess of this figure. The brochures distributed on the day of viewing were to advise of the vendors expectation, which on this occasion was £280,000. This is something our buyers usually really appreciate as they frequently comment that they are left not knowing expectation by other agents. We only provide buyers with information we are given and we are guided by are Vendors requests. When your mortgage valuation was returned as £250,000 we highlighted our surprise at the level quoted. You yourself spoke to us at your surprise and even challenged the valuation through your lender. Two bedroom properties typically sell at £300,000+ in that area. The property you refer to having previously been sold was not in the same block but was in the same road. The sale was agreed back in the first half of 2015, had a very short lease with a quick sale needed so this cannot be used as a comparison. We too are disappointed that you were unable to complete on the property, however there are many reason a sale can fail and a down valuation is only one of them. We received several offers on the property in the same price range and I’m sure if you did not feel the property was worth it you wouldn’t have offered in the first instance.
