The BEST experience buying our Dream Home @ Wendel View

We spent sooo long looking for the right location/property all over Northamptonshire & Bedfordshire but have finally collected our keys to our Dream Home at Wendel View! Michelle & Stella the sales ladies were absolutely flawless throughout, they never once turned us away when we annoyingly wanted to pop by and see the show home again and again (sorry!). They kept us updated throughout and honestly, having both bought previously it was the best sales experience we have ever had. David the Sales Manager even turned up to Welcome us which we never got on either of our purchases before! The site team have handed over a near perfect property, John is brilliant and his attention to detail is truly noticed! He even popped by after hours to check we settled in ok which was lovely. My Moving to a New Build Experience with DWH

Having been told & from experience, house moving can be stressful, I can honestly say that having DWH's along for the journey was a lot less stressful than expected.From the beginning the sales office lovely staff could not do more to help the process. Nothing was too much trouble and every question/query was answered in a timely manner. Once I had sold my house and put a deposit on my new DWH it was pretty much plain sailing and my new home is just gorgeous. I love it!!!Thank you DWH's for making such a lovely home & looking after me throughout the journey.

Perfect Sales Experience…

My review relates to our experience with the sales lady Julie at DWH Languard View Dover Court.The sales office is set between two beautiful show homes and very welcoming with full sample showcase of flooring/Tiling should you decide to purchase a new home.We were very impressed with the 4 Bedroom Holden finding the design perfect for us so sat down with Julie who we found to be extremely knowledgeable, professional and had a great sense of humour. We then went a way to put our plans into place maintaining contact with Julie as the house was being built. When we were in a position to move forward making a formal offer Julie was extremely helpful assisting us pick the best types of flooring and extras and making the whole sales process simple and easy.Julie is an asset to DWH and the site office at Languard View. We look forwards to working with the team on the completion of our new home and hopefully leaving a 5 star home review once we have moved in.

Our house had over 200 snags when we…

Our house had over 200 snags when we moved in, but the worst part was a hand tightened joint in the copper pipe from the cylinder popped open and we had a large flood.* DWH took 11 days to take out the sodden carpets, the resulting moisture caused extensive mould damage* Electrics were off for 2 weeks so dehumidifiers couldn't be run* Dehumidifiers weren't connected to drainage hoses* New skirting was being fitted on top of mouldy plasterboardDue to their incompetence we had to stay in a hotel for over five months (with an autistic 3yo).I'll soon be placing a 10ft x 4ft banner on the side of the house warning anyone from buying a DWH. The house is on the entrance to the estate in a very prominent position.

DW Homes engage you with their substantial documented process providing an excellent audit trail and library for future reference. However, the strength of the customer engagement is vested in their staff, whether that be the sales or the construction operations - they have always been open, available and gone the extra mile. The PX scheme really helps by knowing that the sales process is chain free. The valuation provided was realistic and a great help towards finding the overall price of the new property. Nevertheless with an older property to part exchange, the level of detail of enquiries and solutions resulted in expensive costs that fell to us. Having moved in we have been hugely impressed with the build quality and the on-going access to the staff of DW Homes.

Would give zero stars if I could

Would give zero stars if I could. Reserved a plot in September and was told exchange would happen within 6 weeks and completion by October. I then get a call saying it’s going to be December and a further call saying we can’t complete until end of January. The sales person has offered empty apologies and not done anything to help and has been very rude to our selling agent. Our whole chain is about to collapse and DWH don’t care about the hassle they’ve caused and the money they’ve cost everyone. Truly awful service and company and I will never use them again.

Disclaimer: Property has been reserved, mortgage application submitted and in the process of sorting a conveyancer - Review not coming from someone who has completed the process and is living in a property!We visited Olive Park after a friend of ours moved to the site. The sales rep, Karen, couldn't have been more accommodating or patient. She took time to get to know us a bit, understand our circumstances and what we were looking for.The pre-reservation appointment lasted around 6 hours (including brief lunch break), as we'd travelled 3 hours to get to Uttoxeter. Walked around the property again, picked flooring, inspected site plans and got our ID checks done.Karen's been in touch with us regularly and made us feel like we're fully equipped with all the information we need, which is ideal for a young couple of first-time buyers!Mortgage Bureau rep, Jon, has been equally as thorough and friendly. I can see why DWH use them!

Worst decision I ever made was to buy this house

Buying the house went very well, Nathan was great and pushed the sale through quickly plus was helpful with everything. Sadly since moving in everything else has gone downhill. The amount of issues with the house has been incredible including multiple leaks in windows and doors causing even more damage and trying to get the site to move quickly to rectify these things has been incredibly difficult. 4.5 months down the line, still 25 items on the snag list and 2 being leaks in the house. I have constant workman in the house which I have to deal with in between work, multiple windows replaced as well as flooring replaced already, mould in the house causing damage to personal items. Spent 4k on wardrobes in 2 bedrooms and the doors have warped already, another job to do! When jobs are attempted to be repaired, not only do they not get repaired properly but more damage to my house is created which I find out as the workman don’t admit to me they’ve caused damage and this is causing another job. I am now living with mediocre repairs at best and it’s not acceptable, I bought a brand new house! The worst decision I ever made was to buy this house, the workmanship is poor and I have absolutely zero faith in the build. I didn’t give a bad review on the survey as I liked the people I dealt with but moving on, they just don’t care after they’ve had your money! To say I feel disappointed, frustrated and angry with absolutely everything that’s happened is an under statement!!

Great experience

We reserved our house back in June this year with the lovely Michelle at Woodland Heath in Sprowston. Michelle made our experience, she was on it right from the start, making sure we had everything we needed and wanted, even making sure we could upgrades parts of the house despite it being later in the build stage. Unfortunately our process took a tad longer than expected due to issues with our buyer’s solicitor, however, Michelle was understanding throughout and genuinely happy for us when we finally did exchange & complete.The home is lovely (albeit a few minor things wrong but these are quickly being fixed & monitored by both Paul & Ken, the site managers). We are very pleased and cannot thank Michelle enough for her support & work throughout the process. We would highly recommend purchasing a home at Woodland Heath.
