Strange Warranty Coverage

The overall experience is okay until we experienced an issue on the window with 1 of them having a crack suddenly after 1 year. We believed it can be covered in the 2-year warranty, however we were told the warranty will be effective if the item has been reported as defect in the first 72 hours after moving into the new house. Basically not only the window and quite a number of items will not be covered if nothing reported in the first 72 hours.I am confused on the purpose of this warranty when I compared it to other warranty applied to a car or an appliance. I think it is a 72-hour warranty instead of a 2-year warranty.If the item was identified with fault in the first 72-hour, I think it is not a warranty issue, it is a quality issue.Also the 72-hour requirement is not covered in the warranty document (it only shows in a website and I am curious how many buyer can go through this website in the first 72-hour) and we didn't hear this when moving in.13 December UpdateI understand DWH has requested my contact information through trustpilot but no one approached me so far for the above issue.

I have just moved into my first home and very pleased that the build is finished to a high standard, with input from independent professional pre-completion inspection. The entire house buying process was made a breeze with the exceptional support and guidance I received from Lizzie then Jordan and Becca. The build was completed to the anticipated legal completion date. The aftercare support from the site team lead by Dan was outstanding and this has helped me settling in well. Great buying experience. Part exchange took a lot of pressure off when struggling to get a sale on previous property. Great sales staff especially Nathan at Parc Fferm Wen,St Athan who went out of his way to make sure everything was right for us on the big day.Also thanks must go to Site Manager( Gwyn) who is always ready to solve any problems if and when they arise and answer any queries we might have. Serious floor leveling problem, and they are not following up!!

Moved in the new house in April this year, there are serious floor leveling problems from day 1. The problems were reported immediately but they didn’t offer a fix until October. Scheduled a four days appointment with them, but then it had to be postponed as they “had no enough material”. Finally the contractor came last week and started to redo the floors, saying it would be done in 4 days. However they found out they didn’t make it right after layering the cement. The progress is somehow paused right now, leaving the floors with no tiles on top for five days already. We kept asking what’s the next step and when can it be fixed, but we got no concrete feedback. This is so frustrating as we moved every furniture away, being unable to cook or live normally in the house. Christmas is coming and this mess has been ruining our plans already. Things can go wrong sometimes, but it’s definitely not acceptable and unfair to us when they leave a mess here and don’t follow up. This is affecting our living more than a week already. We need someone to follow up.

We’ve recently reserved a plot at Minster View in Beverley, East Yorkshire. I popped my head in to ask a quick query on part exchange and that progressed to reserving a plot. Steph and Dawnie have both been amazing over the process and have assisted greatly in making the purchase financially viable for us. I can’t praise them enough.
