5 star experience from the Lavendon Fields Team

The team at DWH were amazing when it came to our house purchase. At the time of viewing, throughout the conveyancing process and their after care. I just want to highlight a few individuals below. Bernard was brilliant from the day weet him to view the house. He understood our circumstances and made enquiries where necessary to make things as quick and as straightforward as possible. He kept us informed all of the time, checking in and was really accommodating. Hannah was brilliant on the lead up to our completion date and on the day of completion. Completion was not as smoothe as we had hoped, but this was not down to DWH. She did everything that she could to try and make things as smoothe as possible in what was a really stressful time. George the site manager has been brilliant too. He has checked in with us on the phone since we moved in, and has visited us at our property twice to make sure everything is ok, check we have settled in and whether we needed any repairs. Dee, the part exchange manager was easy to get hold of and responsive on emails as were the rest of her team. Having them as contacts during the part exchange process was brilliant because it meant we had another line of communication that wasn't between lawyers. Overall we had a great experience and the team were brilliant. We would definitely recommend to friends.

The service we got from the first day we reserved our property to moving in the day is second to none. Ricky and Kim were very professional and friendly as they provided personalised support to us.The site team, comprising of Nathan and Jeremy, were also a cut above the rest. They walked us through what to expect from them as our site support, and they have delivered over and above what we expected. Their support has made us settle into our new home faster and comfortably as we were dreading the move and all issues that come with it since I have significant physical limitations due to ill health.Both the site and sales team are very approachable, always available, and very responsive. All the queries we have had have been attended to promptly with no questions asked, which is quite reassuring indeed. The teams are truly greater assets to DWH as they work to align themselves with the DWH ethoes. It has been an excellent experience through and through.

The Needingworth site near St Ives

The Needingworth site near St Ives. The site manager is clearly very good and this feeds down to the assistant manager and all the staff. While we have had some issues, they have done their best to get these sorted in a timely way and I therefore rate them highly. DWH are shortly to complete and leave site and it would be easy at this point to ignore issues. We are talking about pop up wastes not working etc. We bought a show home which I assessed as being built to the best they could do and I think that assessment is proved correct. Logically, if you walk around a show home and things do not look good, you can bet that the non show homes will be worse. Having bought 2 brand new houses, all the standards boil down to the attitude of the site managers and this feeds into how the site is built and run with issues being addressed. Stephanie who ran the sales office was excellent but the assistant site manager has also been really good. Getting all the components sorted out, can be a complex business and it must be quite complex across 120 houses. So a 5 star review and I am not given to making that assessment very often. Would I recommend buying a DWH House.....well on the experience we have had yes but it does depend on how good the site manager is and how he sets those standards. Standards on 1 site do not mean that works across all DWH sites and therefore you need to assess very carefully if you are content to put your money into a property. No new homes are issue free, as have lots of parts that can fail but equally no older homes are free of issues either.

Appalling … DO NOT PURCHASE OFF THIS SHODDY COMPANY!1- Wrong Kitchen installed on handover2- wrong tiles in En Suite3- kitchen sink fell through worktop after three days4- chimney leaking, in the first 156 days scaffolding was erected for 127 days. Three chimneys later and debris left on the roof…..5- retaining walls installed incorrectly with no drainage behind and built as double the height of the “As Built” drawings6- Garage leaking in water and told by Paul Moran that a garage is not a water tight building….. it’s not built as a swimming pool either was our response.7- Three out of four cisterns damaged so walls had to be removed for access and repairs.8- kitchen units replaced numerous times due to splitting and bubbling. On one occasion 12 doors were replaced at one visit.9- Electric oven leaking water, replaced three times, now on fourth oven which still leaks. Engineer who came to the oven said it’s a badly designed kitchen.10- window vent fallen off in en suite, this was either deliberately broken off to tile above it our damaged when tiling as the tiles fit below the vent fitting.. 11- contractors urinating outside our property.12- contractors power washing their van outside our front door that have not even been working on our property.The customer “don’t” care is appalling. Linda books in engineers, confirms via email time and date, they still turn up at the wrong time, then always start their email by I’m sorry for the misunderstanding. Enough said….
