After part exchanging our existing house which was effortless thanks to their team, and especially Rachel Kennedy, really knows the job and (very importantly) answers the phone without fail if you have any questions or need updates. As for the house we bought off them which is a new build, can not praise them enough. Firstly for the builders, Andy Dawson, Andy Briddock and their team of tradesman are fantastic, really highly skilled and their finishing is excellent. Any problem you have or snags when you move in are dealt with in a very efficient and timely manner. Albeit there was very little to pick as snags anyway. Recommend every time, chose them and you won't regret it

A response!

At last the MD has responded.Despite 7, yes 7 different plumbers agreeing that there is a problem with our hot/cold water system DWH has decided that they are happy with the contractors work and so NO FURTHER ACTION by DWH.Interestingly, we have not been allowed to see any evidence submitted by the plumbers inspecting this shoddy workmanship.

Just Wow......Amanda and Lionel at the Pastures Place development are outstanding. From reservation to completion, and beyond, they have continued to give excellent communication and support, nothing is too much trouble. The house itself is finished to an unbelievable high standard, with excellent attention to detail. Dare I say we have thoroughly enjoyed our dealings with DWH and would certainly recommend our development to prospective purchasers.

NOT TO BE TRUSTED

Visited the site and expressed interest in a plot. Was advised of cost (including part exchange and various financial incentives) unfortunately could not afford cost. Was thereafter contacted by salesperson who confirmed that manager had authorised a further incentive of £10000 towards Land Tax. Still couldn't afford the cost. A couple of days later was contacted again by salesperson who confirmed manager had now authorised full payment of Land Tax app £28000. Confirmed that we would accept offer and only issue was agreeing an entry date. Couple of days later contacted by same salesperson (which I assumed was to discuss entry date) who advised the OFFER had now been WITHDRAWN by another manager and replaced with a lower Land Tax contribution of £13000. Declined this offer and made formal complaint to head office. After investigation they stated that no OFFER had been made therefore could not have been WITHDRAWN. Conversation regarding OFFER of £28000 towards Land Tax was only to see IF that WAS offered would we be interested in purchasing property. Claimed we misunderstood. This is nothing but lies. If you are told anything verbally by this Company make sure you get it confirmed in writing as they cannot be trusted.

I cannot believe I am writing another…

I cannot believe I am writing another review 14 months after moving into this house!DWH do contact me, but nothing is done or resolved.We STILL have hot water coming out of 2 of our cold taps. It started as warm water but is now hot.We have to run our taps for 30 seconds before the water runs cold. That is litres and litres of water that we have been paying for for 13 months.Anyone reading this be warned - DO NOT BUY A HOUSE FROM THIS BUILDER.

Amazing staff when really needed

I recently suffered a flood in my house (faulty fitting). And whilst no-one wants this, you can’t do anything about the inevitable, if it’s going to happen this company and the team are the people you want behind you. I reported it at 7.30am to the site office. By 8.15 I had 3 men ripping out all the drenched carpets (there was no saving them). All arranged by the ASM David Jones. Who also rolled up his sleeves and helped rip them out. By around 9.30am I had a customer care manager (Zoe Coles) on site, making phone calls to ensure dehumidifiers etc were put in place. Both Zoe and David are the reason I did not go into a massive meltdown, they provided much needed help and reassurance. They had arranged an Airbnb within a few hours. And only 3 weeks in the house is looking brand new again. All skirtings, doors and frames etc had to be replaced including part of the kitchen. They have worked tirelessly and kept me updated every step of the way with no chasing. I was worried I would not be in for Christmas but Zoe said she would try her hardest and she achieved it by a mile. I am autistic (mildly) so this was a big thing for me and more then most people realise but I owe them a lot of thanks in helping ensure I wasn’t affected too much, without it I would have had a meltdown. I couldn’t ask for more then they have done and I don’t think they could have done more if they tried. Wonderful team and lovely people. No one wants a disaster but it happens, what counts is the service that follows and they by far surpassed it. If I could give 10 stars I would. DWH all the way

Diabolical Customer Service

Our Boiler was condemned due to faulty installation as the flue has never been in the correct position. The whole system has corroded due to acidic condensation and CO2 leaking into the unit. Duchy are claiming we have moved it even though it is cemented in place in the faulty position it was installed. We have no central heating and as son with asthma and Duchy have taken zero responsibility. Paul Moran only comes to your house to get out of paying for any remedial work. We now have to replace the the boiler at a cost of £2000.00… disgraceful
