Professional service whilst being personal and friendly

As first time buyers we couldn't have received better guidance and service, Davistate were by far one of the best agents we witnessed in the year it took to find our first home, we were very fortunate the house we wanted was being dealt with by Davistate, especially Elanor, from show rounds, to phone calls and to completion Elanor was extremely professional and helpful. We were kept in the loop throughout and she was very patient with our never-ending questions. Although we dealt with Elanor out in the field, when i did have to drop by the Wantage branch, Phil was helpful, polite and informative. Would Definately recommend Davistate as they're one of the best estate agents around.

We just bought a house through Davis Tate. Our selling agent was worse than useless. Fortunately, Lee was onto our case right from day one and went above and beyond chasing our buyers and the people below them. All the while we had not one single update from our own estate agent. If Lee had not worked so hard things would have ended up very different. First class service and if you want an agent on your side I wouldn't choose anyone else!

We sold our flat through Davis Tate and subsequently found ourselves in a chain of 4 properties. Lee took it upon himself to take ownership for the whole chain (despite only being responsible for the sale of our property) and was like a dog with a bone when it came to chasing solicitors to ensure a smooth exchange and completion. As with all of these things, we came across some complications on the way which Lee helped us navigate through and kept us informed every step of the way. I regularly emailed Lee at all sorts of times day and night and became surprised if I didn't receive a response within 60 minutes such was his eagerness to provide excellent customer service. Importantly, Davis Tate sold our property within a matter of weeks and managed to take care of all viewings during a one week window which we provided (when both my wife and I were out of the country). All this to say, what could have been a really stressful time was made much more tolerable by the professionalism, diligence and determination of Lee. When we do move house again, I don't think I would even both speaking to any other agents apart from Davis Tate. I've not come across service like this from this industry up until now.

We sold our home through Davis Tate Woodley and I can't speak highly enough of Lee. From start to finish he was fantastic. Not only did he sell our house within a matter of days, he supported us every step of the way in what was a long process due to the chain. He was never too busy to answer any and all questions (even on his holiday, sorry Lee!) and when the chain was held up he was right there sorting it all out and smoothing the kinks even though they had nothing to do with him. With Davis Tate Woodley you get amazing personal attention and service that you don't find with other Estate Agencies. If you're looking for an estate agent that goes the extra mile this is where you'll find it. We highly recommend!

We would not hesitate to recommend Lee Russell at Davis Tate. We always had prompt replies to emails and voicemail. We had many occasions to seek advice from him and always found him really helpful with a sense that the options he discussed with us with were fair for all parties and made good business sense. Our house sale and purchase were not plain sailing and when the deal nearly fell through Lee went the extra mile to get things moving again. Lee's experience of the business and his numerous contacts meant that he was able to keep us up to date as the process reached completion. Once things were underway he emailed all parties weekly so that everyone was kept up to speed with what was happening and he constantly kept on top of all the details, which was very reassuring. We always had a sense that he was honest and was being straight with us, and he gave us the space and all the relevant information to enable us to make our own decisions. We really felt like Lee was talking to us rather than at us (which was how we occasionally felt with some other agents). Selling a family home at the end of an era is a very difficult thing to have to do. Lee, at Davis Tate was brilliant. I found him very professional, polite and helpful. He actually found three buyers for our house as part of a saga that has more twists and turns and "will they / won't theys" than the Greek debt crisis! In addition we tried to buy three different houses during the process of selling our house as our purchases kept falling through. Throughout this process Lee was absolutely fantastic. He is friendly, respectful and professional and extremely responsive, replying to e-mails promptly, even those sent late into the evening. When our original purchase was falling through Lee got to work trying to rescue the deal, even communicating with our seller and other people in the chain when the selling agents proved disinterested in helping. Lee is like a dog with a bone when there is a problem and goes to great lengths to look for a solution. He managed to resurrect the deal several times at one particular point with some very impressive negotiating up and down the chain. At all times Lee kept us updated as to progress. Lee was very respectful of the fact that it was our home that we were selling and all that that meant for us as a family. Because Lee works on his own you can be assured that he deals with matter personally which we greatly valued. We have come across a few different estate agents in our time but if all estate agents were like Lee the process of buying and selling houses would be much easier. With Lee there is a refreshing lack of snake oil salesmanship. If you are looking to sell a property in Woodley we do not understand why you would even think about using someone else! Simply the best

This is the second time Lee Russel has sorted the mess other agents left behind, unfortunately I had forgotten the first time and went elsewhere. I started by using another large local company who offered the world, I was passed to pretty useless back office staff after the salesman had me hooked, it was left to Lee to try and fix things.. Eventually, I let Davis Tate sort my sale out. EVERY time I called Lee, he either answered immediately or called back (yes, you may think a basic thing but other agents don't do it). Many times I would email late at night after work, I received emails past 11pm. I'm not saying Lee can sort every problem out, but he made every effort to do whatever he could and kept us informed at all stages of the sale. What Lee also did was chase the WHOLE chain and make sure things kept moving, not just my sale and purchase the WHOLE chain. The estate agent I used to buy my new house in Devon said she wished she could work with Lee as "He is the best agent I have dealt with" (quote). I'm not saying Lee Russel is Superman, but I never saw Lee Russel and Superman in the same room at the same time.

The team at Davis Tate did a great job of selling our house - the key thing was that they matched only the people who could afford our house and were in a good position to make the purchase - we sold in 2 days! They were always on hand to answer questions, make calls and made every effort to help us find the house we wanted - they were professional and efficient and that is all you can ask. Obviously all estate agents charge a similar fee which is quite a lot but having had our house on the market with other agents a couple of years before without success i really do think that for the peace of mind it is money well spent
