GoogleI'm not at all impressed with the service provided. I had to constantly chase for news and their communications were rare and poor. Furthermore, they only became attentive once the deal was done, and they wanted their £2.5k. I spent 10 years in my earlier career as an estate agent and would have been embarrassed to have offered such poor service.

GoogleCumbrian Properties has provided an excellent service, from the first valuation by Robert Foster, to the very attractive brochure, and the fine photos by Rene Walker, followed by a steady stream of arranged viewings, which I undertook myself. Finally the Sales Negotiator, Sarah Nelson, worked hard on my behalf to secure a satisfactory sale agreement in just over three months. Everyone I have dealt with at Cumbrian Properties has been helpful, polite and professional and I thoroughly recommend them.

Poor service - no updates. Not informed of the change in advertising circs after sale fell through. Came down to us to chase why we weren’t getting viewings. Had to chase them to take new pics. Useless!!

GoogleWe decided to use Cumbrian Properties to market our property as we assumed they would provide a good service after reading many reviews online. Sadly, this isn't the experience we had. Having bought / sold many times over the years, we are experienced with the process having dealt with many Estate Agents in the past. Their website advertises they have: "an active database of current buyers"; "timely viewing feedback and vendor updates"; "proactive sales progression" and "brisk sales negotiation." We didn't experience any of this. We sold quite quickly, after much negotiation, and dropped the price. The first buyer wanted to move quickly and advised they would be pushing things as a result - they were renting and had no chain. As such, within 2 days, we put an offer on another property which was accepted. The next working day, Cumbrian Properties called to say the buyer had decided not to pursue the purchase. No reason was given and Cumbrian Properties didn't do anything to try to keep the sale. Shortly after, we accepted a further offer from a family who weren't yet on the market. We accepted the offer and shortly after they sold their house. We therefore started the legal process, as they were using the same solicitor this happened quickly. Sadly, they lost their buyer and eventually took their house off the market as they decided not to move. During this time, Cumbrian Properties were aware we had managed to keep the house we had offered on previously and were aware of the urgent need for us to sell and move. When we sold for the third time in early July, we started the legal process straight away. For over 4 weeks we didn't hear from Cumbrian Properties once, which conflicts the service they advertise on their website. In fact, the service became intolerable. We understood our buyers solicitor weren't the easiest to deal with, however we also were advised by our solicitor that Cumbrian Properties should be keeping us updated. They didn't. In fact, they did nothing until we contacted Adrian Hogarth around 4 weeks prior to us eventually completing. Adrian responded to us when we raised a complaint via email. However instead of being respectful he was patronising and made us feel awful. Yes, he did push things along in the end however his emails and tone on the phone were very 'off' noting we were his client and we would be paying a substantial amount of money for the service of his Company. At no point did he show any empathy for our situation and in addition his colleague Sarah was the same making negative comments about the speed we would move - noting she was more than aware of our situation after having lost 2 previous buyers. In addition, our buyer had advised they wanted things to move quickly when we accepted their offer. Lastly, when handing the keys to our property to Cumbrian Properties the gentleman at the desk took the key, said 'I will process these.' Where was the 'thank you for choosing us to market your property?' In summary, Cumbrian Properties did not in our experience provide the services advertised on their website. We would not recommend them after having just experienced the most stressful experience of selling a property.

GoogleAbsolutely fantastic experience with Sue. She was due to go on holiday and processed our application and everything related to our rental in two days. Never had such great service, Sue is well and truly on the ball and I can't recommend highly enough. Sue deserves a raise. Special mention to Andrea as well who was fantastic during our viewing.

GoogleSue is a credit to the company and was incredibly helpful throughout the entire letting process answering any questions I had and keeping me informed on progress after Cumbrian Properties found suitable tenants very quickly. Jodie was friendly and well informed at our initial valuation meeting and Emma was also very helpful while Sue was away.
