Surprised to see so many negative reviews. I have recently completed on the sale of one property and purchase of another, with two different branches of Clee - Carmarthen and Pontardawe. I have been surprised and impressed by the level of service from both offices. There has been regular communication, which has been friendly and supportive and an enterprising suggestion led to my purchase of a property which I hadn't even considered. I wouldn't hesitate to use CTF again, or to recommend them.

I will never recommend this company to anyone! Made the whole process 10x more stressful than it needed to be. We had a range of problems with them. The first put the price on the market £5k cheaper than we wanted. Their photos were absolutely horrendous - made the house look so small and dark. In the end, we took our own photos and asked them to place these on our listing. The ‘for sale’ sign for over a week after the listing went live. The Port Talbot branch manager, Nicola, we found very rude and condescending. I don’t think they know what customer service is. It actually seemed on times as though the person buying our house was paying them, instead of us! That’s how I felt we were treated. Every time I would see their number as an incoming call, I would feel nothing but dread! We will never EVER go with this company again. So relieved the whole process is over and I don’t have any more contact with them.

Dreadful Morriston branch. Sharp practice. Continued viewings on a house after we agreed an offer without informing us. Allowed us to drive 5 hours each way for a second viewing to resolve a boundary issue. They did not follow up on this viewing but then accepted a new offer from another party and then asked us to increase our offer behind the back of the new person. Avoid.

Currently on with this agent. Very little communication from them. Always seem to be chasing them to confirm appointments and zero feedback from viewings. On the plus side, agent always on time and positive.

Appointed Clee & Tompkinson Francis (Crickhowell) to represent us in land compensation regarding the A465 Heads of the Valley road scheme several years ago. When we enquired about progress it appeared they had lost our application ( we still had letter as proof it had been submitted) so they asked to resubmit the paperwork which we did back 12 months they acknowledged receipt. A year has passed and still no communication from Clee & Tompkinson, so decided it was time to get an update on progress, they have not responded to e-mails or to the online query form to contact us regarding the progress. Poor communication (well actually none), fe up of chasing them. We have now appointed a new agent to represent us and he has done more in 2 weeks that Clee & Thompkinson has done in year (not hard really) If they are representing you in a land compensation claim you might want to think about appointing someone else

GoogleMy recommendation and feedback for Clee’s Port Talbot could not be high enough. I had a difficult sale due to probate problems and buyers trying to renegotiate. Through out the process the team was excellent. Very fast with photos, launching the property. Lots of viewings and kept me informed throughout. Very professional service and so tenacious with chasing buys. I had excellent service and excellent value for money.

Great company. I had my house for sale with another estate agent for 9 months with very little success. I then went to Clee in Morrisons. My house went on the market on a Friday and received a full asking price offer 5 days later. . Darlene was amazing at keeping me updated and chasing things through. Would highly recommend

Tracey and the rest of the team were very easy to work with, not like other Estate Agents who can come across as pushy. Any questions we had they had the answer. Thank you all at CTF Port Talbot.

GoogleJust sold my house with Clee Tompkinson Francis in Port Talbot.and I have to say they were amazing from start to finish. We found a new build that was perfect for us to downsize into and we knew selling ours would be a challenge...alongside the M4 with steep steps and in need of some tlc. Nevertheless Nicola,Tracey and Alisha found us a buyer that meant we could reserve our new build. Sadly that chain broke down and we were in danger of losing our new home but CTF Port Talbot pulled out all the stops and found us another buyer in under a week. These people are nothing short of miracle workers. The process has been fraught with issues but Nicola and Tracey have stayed calm and re-assuring throughout, offering sound advice and encouragement at every stage. They have worked like trojans, for me and my buyer, to get our sale through and, almost entirely thanks to their hard work, I am writing this review from my lovely new home. I don't think you could do better than CTF Port Talbot if you want to sell or buy in the area. Thank you, you lovely people, for making that possibility of a dream home happen for us.

GoogleI am selling a few properties due to the dissolution of a BTL portfoilo. In recent months I have dealt with lots of Estate Agents all over South Wales. I currently have a house listed with Clee's Port Talbot which very quickly received an offer and currently sits Sold STC. The same branch of Clee's are also selling the property for my buyer of a different property which I have listed with another agent. I am beyond impressed with their service, not only do they respond to all enquiries quickly helping to move the transactions along, they also do it with a smile and kind tone. I am a pain, I call regularly as I am held to strict timescales for completion, yet every call is taken and each email sent is responded to. Hats off to you Clee's, I am a very tough cookie to impress, with the patience of a gnat, but you have continuously impressed me over recent months. I can genuinely feel your positive energy travelling down the phone lines, even when I am close to tearing my hair out! If I had more to sell in Port Talbot I would list with you in a heartbeat, however as I do not I am taking your name with me to Swansea, and will look to list the Swansea property with your branch over there. Thank you Clee's Port Talbot. We are not over the line yet, but i am of little doubt, if we can complete this side of Xmas, you will be the reason why!

GoogleBuying a new home should be an exciting time but unfortunately this wasn’t my experience with Clee’s. As an inexperienced first time buyer I was hopeful of support, clear and consistent communication and most importantly honesty. Sadly my home buying journey couldn’t have been more different. Bitterly disappointing and extremely stressful, the consequences of which I am still dealing with nearly 3 months on from getting the keys.

GoogleI recently put my Mams property on the market with Clee. I dealt with Nicola. The property had been on the market less than 48 hours when she rang me to say it was sold......subject to contract. I couldn't believe it had sold so quickly. Nicola was amazing, so competent and knowledgeable in her work. She knew what type of buyer would be interested in the property. Nicola went above and beyond to get the sale, she was fantastic. I also dealt with Tracey when Nicola was unavailable. Again Tracey was very competent in her work explaining things to me. Alisha and Sue were very pleasant if I rang the office and they answered. All staff were polite at all times. I would not hesitate to use Clee in the future if I were to sell my own property. They have been wonderful and it's been an absolute pleasure to deal with them,especially Nicola, you were simply the best. Thank you so much from my Family and I.

In 2019 I bought my first house in Wales, from Clee Estate Agents. The service was faultless. This was to be the beginning of my welsh portfolio and so as Clee had a property management company it appeared to be logical to keep it in house. My portfolio expanded.With regards to a property in Regent St.My tenant, or rather the tenant that Clee vetted moved in on 18th June 2021. Had to chase the rent. Clee issue statements, but nothing was coming into my account. Also overcharging on their management fees was reported to them.Due to none payment of rent Clee were instructed to issue a Section 21 Notice, which they duly did. This was dated 09/11/21 with possession required after 17/06/22. Though the email was sent to me a week later.On the 26th December the tenant emailed me concerning a water leak from his bathroom. He had been trying to contact Clee to arrange an emergency plumber to visit the property. I could confirm this myself. There was no answer phone message for emergencies. Nothing on their web site or shop window. Then then resulted in me having to travel to Neath from Exeter myself. Clee was closed for the whole of the festive period. Their inventory report on the 30th March clearly showed the affected dampness.Clee then decided to employ a gentleman who found me a tenant for one of my properties. What I was not informed at the time was there were outstanding CCJs on this person and the references were not properly checked. After not receiving rent for over six months I requested a section 21 to be issued, It took Clee weeks to issue this and what they did issue was wrong. Instead of three months it was for nearly five months. When I finally got the tenant out I would estimate my loss at about 15K. This gentleman now no longer works for Clee and a replacement was found. Thought all this the managing agent manager was very supportive, but there was nothing more she could do. Since then she has decided to leave the company as did her replacement. This resulted in me removing three of my properties from Clee.On another property I instructed Clee in full management, eventually they found me tenants. However there charges were to say in the least excessive. Our contract for finding a tenant was £250 and 8% management charge because I now had quite a few properties with Clee. Clee deducted £450 and 10%, lucky I spotted this.I wanted to move one tenant from one property into another. This property had already an agreement with as above. Once again Clee decided to try to increase their fees. Again £450 and 15%On all my properties Clee were suppose to carry out a photographic inspection before and after the tenant resides at the property. Half the time the inspection missed many points. Damaged walls, state of the garden etc. Then they rush to claim a little of the deposit back and complain if you find missing faults.Promoting properties. No rent signage displayed and though reported, I had no response til I chased it again, to then be advise there was a sign. Properties not appearing on their own web site. Emails going unanswered. When faults are reported Clee were advised which contractors to use. This doest happen instead they were rather use dubious contractors, unknown to me, who charge a fortune. Then on top of this you are advised there is a call out charge.Clee Property Management Company appears to have long past its best sell by date. And consideration for its customers (The landlords) has been set aside.Mark Leonard.

Travelled 6 hours to view a house only to recieve a txt message to let me know due to sickness (on a saturday morning) that our viewings had been cancelled. Tried calling the office several times - no answer! They called me monday morning to see if we could pop back to view the houses...'pop 6 hours back' when I told them that we lived so far and couldn't because of the time it takes and told them I wasn't happy about this - she didn't even apologise! I was informed that only 1 member of staff works on a saturday...on the busiest day of the week? Absolute joke! Zero attention to detail, zero response when you call or email the office! Dreadful experience!

As buyers, they gave us inaccurate information about warranty and drainage on a new build, they didn't read e-mails properly or only responded to parts of e-mails, failed to pass on messages to the vendor and the so called branch manager didn't have the courtesy or the where-with-all to answer or acknowledge any of the 4 e-mails we sent her. I would not recommend this lot if they were the only agents in Wales - which fortunately they are not!

We went with CTF to sell our property because their assessment of the property value seemed to be grounded in good understanding of the local economy. Turns out they were spot on and the property sold at the full asking price within a couple of weeks. While we were going through the selling process, the team were always there to help in any way they could. The whole team were always able to access information about the status of the sale so anyone we spoke to could answer our questions or help move things forward. Any communication between ourselves and the buyers was passed on immediately so there were no delays. Absolutely brilliant service all round! Highly recommended.
