Alan and whole team at the Wanstead branch of Churchills were fantastic. We didn't have the easiest of experiences selling but thanks to everyone in the branch we have been able to move to our dream house. We absolutely had an amazing experience with Robin at Churchill's in Chingford Mount. After dealing with numerous estate agents looking for our forever home and getting mis led and poorly managed, Robin was a breath of fresh air. TENANTS & LANDLORDS BEWARE OF CHURCHILL. We never had much dealings with the agency as we always had satisfactory routine checks. Until: My car was stolen, with the parking fobs in the car. I emailed to inform them of this, and pay for replacement fobs. Shockingly, a reply came back without a single word of condolence, sympathy or empathy. Here is what was written: "Thank you for your email, We have emailed the management company to see how we go about getting a new fob for the block and see what the charge is once we have this confirmation I will come back to you. Many Thanks Property Manager" I was surprised that this had come from a human, but turned a blind eye. Then the biggest problems came when returning an additional/extra months rent that Churchill took (and deposit!). Accidents happen, but, after chasing and chasing, and then finally copying the regional manager into email, it took 16 days to return the extra money they took, with huge gaps in response. Inline with the poor service, and staff training issues, a request to clean the carpet professionally on the way out was requested. However, the carpets where not cleaned on the way in (were supposed to be changed, but we asked to not do this, so we could move in asap) and had to be cleaned by us, to be able to live there (full of cat fur!). But, as any decent family would do, we also cleaned the carpets on the way out too, to the same condition as we cleaned them on the way in. I asked to release the deposit bar the dispute of £115 for carpet carpet cleaning, as advised by the Tenancy Deposit Scheme (who said that's normal practice with decent agents). But, again, inline with the horrible nature of the agency, not a single request/chase has even been replied too. The TDS has said it doesn't make sense for Churchill to do this, as now I have to raise a case, its recorded on their file, and creates a lot of admin for Churchill. But, Churchill don't seem to care, and seem to want to string things out. TENANTS think twice before renting from here, LANDLORDS think twice before getting tenants from here, who they will alienate, and make them resent and regret renting with them/you. I wish me and my family never rented the flat now, or had any dealings with these cowboys.

The high standard of service I’ve received from Churchill estates really made me feel compelled to stop here to publish my testimony!!! My previous landlord decided to sell the property so I have found myself having to find another rental very quickly. I was hoping to find a place at least as good as the place I had before and all the support a tenant should expect because moving home can be exciting but it always comes with a lot of stress and worries. Churchill Estates made me feel at ease from the first time I’ve visited their website until actually moving in to the new place. This is why: Very fine selection of properties from good Landlords Presented to a high standard with more than 10 pictures in most cases A comprehensive description of the properties with plants and affordability guidance A land line always available for a direct contact and professional advice Viewing booked within 24 hours Excellent representatives that communicate effectively with reassuring answers and a big smile I have contacted with 7 different officials at Curch hill Estates, as I was progressing towards signing the tenancy agreement and the level of care and service never dropped. By the time everything was agreed they have already met my expectations but when it came to sign the paperwork and take care of the formalities, they presented themselves as a modern and efficient agency, with digital and safe methods to do that, saving me a lot of time and hassle. I didn’t need to take time off work for that. After I’ve moved in to a stunning property, owned by a fantastic Landlord, I continued to get constant reassurance and support throughout, even though the property had been carefully prepared and cleaned for me with amazing small touches such a complete folder with pictures and description of how all the appliances should be operated, extra bulbs for spot lights, fresh paint, etc..
