All together choices is an awful company for both landlords and tenants, i have rented my property through here and obviously didn't learn the first time I then went on to let a property through them. They will just keep conning you out of money. There are plenty of estate agents, do not go to choices. Customer service is shocking and do not even know what they are talking about. Not impressed.

I have worked with many different estate agents over the years and have found Choices have been very helpful and efficient. There is always a particular department to deal with any enquires and everyone is very helpful. Highly recommended.

Get away from these people! LISTEN TO ME AND ANY OTHER ONES COMPLAINING! We are truly saying what happened to us! Unfortunately I did not know this in advance of renting a property in Sutton with them. Little did I know that my 3 years of contract with them will be just problem after problem. Luckily, I had the pleasure to be able to deal with my landlady directly, so we both were able to skip them in many of the normal problems that may occur at a tenancy, Choices Sutton staff are rude, disrespectful and plain ignorant. REAL SITUATION: After a year with my contract I am contacted by Choices that I need to renew my 1 year contract to a long term (indefinite I think, no expired date). I said ok, thinking I only have to sign this paper and get along with my lovely apartment and great landlady. Here was my surprise, when I pop into the office to sign it, to be informed that they would be a charge of £90 for exchange of contracts! I tried to fight it,explaining that I didn't understand why I was being charged for staying longer than a year! They are quite squared so they will give you the same answer, BECAUSE IT LIKE THIS! I contacted my landlady, who had then to talk to Headquarters, because she was not going to lose a great paying tenant just because they wanted £90 for doing nothing, same contract, same name just different date. Headquarters agreed to cancel the fee in order not to lose my landlady as a client. When I went to sign again, the "Estate Agent" after reading my email from Headquarters and giving me a non-timed contract to sign ( I only need to give 1 month written notice if I wanted to leave) tells me: " Ok, you don't have to pay now, but if you want to change to a short tenancy contract, like a one year contract, we will have charge you the £90".... WHY ON EARTH WOULD I WANT TO DO THAT IF I ALREADY HAVE A LONG TERM CONTRACT !!?? When my landlady decided to sell her place, they probably are the worst sellers EVER! they did have no idea what they were saying, she was making up things ( I know because I was there! listening!) Case closed! they are airheads! with make up and hair gel :) Run far from these people, your life will be much easier! NOTICED THE FAKE REVIEWS THEY HAVE FROM GOOGLE USERS????? SCAM SCAM SCAM AVOID AVOID AVOID

I would not recommend. They don't deserve 1 star. Note that most of the reviewers that gave them 5 stars are only identified as 'google user'

I would not give even one star!!!! The worse experience I have ever had!!!Promised for the flat to be completely refurbished, made us wait 3 weeks from the date it was agreed saying the building works has not been completed. Finally agreeing a date of moving in then received a phone 2 days before the move in (after we arranged everything - paid for removal company and agreed with our current agency the move out day - there was someone to move in same day) that it cannot be done for another few days as the builders are still working and saying that we should be patient as it is worth it, as we will get brand new flat. I should mentioned that after paying our deposit they did not return our calls and didn't contact us for over 3 weeks. Then finally we were able to move in, had everything planned hour by hour and the agent didnt turn up on time so we had to chase them up - it delayed everything, we had to pay extra for removal and cleaning company and carpet people as we left the flat in perfect condition just to arrive in the worse flat ever!!!!! Nothing was done. The only thing they changed was carpet in front room and painted over dirty wallpaper. The rest I would not let even a pet live there. And they said we should be happy as they can find anyone to on our place. The kitchen, bathroom and everywhere was just disgusting!!!!!!!!!!! Fridge from before i was born, bath cover fallen off and the amount of spiders, spider webs and dirt was unbelivable. They did not clean anything before we moved in. I was crying. I asked if we can get money back and they said they can give us our deposit but we have to move out same day. When i ask where on the street after waiting all this time -she just said nothing. I cannot describe how poor the service was and still is. they called a cleaner to clean the flat (only bathroom and kitchen I must add) the rest they said they wont pay for so I had to do it myself as we didnt have a choice and unfortunately had to stay. The shower was not working from the beginning and we were calling and asking for over 4 months to be fixed. Finally we got it fixed after being lied to and ignored but when i reported a leak and dump no one got back to us as yet so im guessing we need to wait another few months. I have no words for this company and please do not use them for your own good! I am still furious and just want to get out of this flat and this agent!!!

Notice how 13 of the 17 reviews currently against this company are from simply 'A Google User'? (and are almost all 5 stars?)... I will let you decide what that means! I can't emphasise enough how awful this company is. I quickly became a landlord who wanted shot of this cowboy company. Terrible invoicing, communication and general care were standard for them. I would rather have paid them until the end of the tenancy contract I had for them NOT to manage my property (yes, they were that bad). I hope people actually read these reviews and not just at the inflated star ratings.

Don't bother with Choices Croydon!!! They are unprofessional as following confirming a viewing by email, they then didn't turn up and had no common decency to call. What a waste of time. First impressions count so I will never use them again. Their properties may look nice, but customer service is just as important - which they have none of.

My advice never use Choices. They scheduled an appointment in the morning and did not bother to let me know that they couldn't do it. They even had not apologised. I had to rescheduled with another agency as I do not trust them anymore!

I found myself & 2 children close to homeless, due to the quick sale of the then landlord. I walked into the Crawley choices branch. I was greeted with smiles & relaxed proffessional attitude. I explained my situation to Lisa & her Manageress. Within a week They had found an Ideal location close to my childrens school, which was of great help. reasonble rent. I count myself lucky, but mainly for Lisa`s help i dont know where we could of ended up. Thank you very much.

As a Landlord contracted up with Choices in Redhill I thought it only fair to warn people, STEER CLEAR OF CHOICES! On a plus point they seem to be very quick to get a tenant in, but thereafter the service and your bank balance goes downhill fast! They charge for EVERYTHING! Changing a tenant can cost $400-£500 plus the 10% management fee. Admittedly some within that are necessary, Inventory and Deposit registration, but others are way over the top, check in/out fees for example, that they charge both Landlords & tenants too! Tenants be warned too, I know of one tenant who was charged £80 just to move the day the rent was paid from the 1st to the 3rd of the month. Both Tenant and Landlord get suckered in, only to find we are suck having to pay numerous and creative fees. Each one covered by a wonderful little clause buried in some small print somewhere! And thats the problem, even if you try to cancel they take the annual fee in advance and is non-refundable, even if the tenant moves out early! so do you cut your losses or let them put another tenant in, either way you lose money!! They have you sign a Primary Tenancy Agreement. Its a VAT/Tax dodge for them but they sell it as a means of concealing your identity, as only Choices face the tenant, personally I have no problem my tenants knowing who I am, in fact I have have a better relationship if I deal with them directly as Choices tarnish it with their actions. It also means the tenant is theres so cancelling them means you lose the tenant, so if you rid yourself of a bad agent you may have to lose a perfectly decent tenant! The word crook would not be harsh when describing their management or practices. Staff turnover seems to be high too, I never know who I am talking to down there. Plus former staff have verified Choices do not have the customers interest foremost, merely extraction of as much money as they can get away with. This is a company whos reputation is spreading, amongst Landlords and tenants, one which will see the business decline with time. Be warned.... I rue the day I signed with them and when I can disintangle myself from them I will!! Don't make my mistake!

Absolutely inefficient - like most letting agents they are all poor at day to day admin. I let my property out through them and have also been a guarantor for someone. The sale staff are excellent but back office admin seriously poor and wouldnt recommend them at all! Good luck if you decide otherwise you were warned.
