Terrible service! Worst agency with unprofessional staff.

I sold my house through Choices in Horley. Both Andrew and Curtis were very professional agents in dealing with onerous buyers! Very stressful time just before Christmas but we got there in the end thanks to both agents at Choices.
Hi Joe, Thank you very much for your review! The team are very pleased they could help … More

I hate to leave bad reviews but the owner of this place is just not friendly, not helpful and is really hard to talk to. I walked in today and he was yelling at his staff (who, by the way, are really nice people). Poor guys have to work for that Scrooge sitting by the cash register. There are so many other nice, local and helpful hardware shops (a few across the road, one on a corner diagonally across the street. Smaller but have everything, cost less and the owner and staff is way nicer there), you don't need to go to this one. Spare yourself a headache and bad service. I am a firm believer of supporting the local shops, but definitely not this one. Will never go back.

The worst agent I’ve ever seen. Stay away from them. Very bad customer service. Very bad in management. Asked them more than 10 times to fix things up, not respond to emails and never picked up my calls.
Hi Omran - I'm sorry that you feel this way. I can see that we have had numerous communications with yourself and that we are in the process of trying to agree for some new furniture to be ordered for you. If you would like to escalate this please feel free to contact me directly stephanieprior@choices.co.uk.

NEVER CHOOSE CHOICES ESTATE AGENTS, YOU WILL FEEL FOR IT, ITS REALLY A PAIN TO BE WITH THEM. A VERY BAD COMPANY, SO MUCH DELAY IN RETURNING OUR DEPOSIT AND OVERPAID RENT. USELESS CUSTOMER CARE AND PORTFOLIOS MANAGERS. CHOICES Estate Agent is a worst letting agent we’ve seen so far. 100% NOT RECOMMENDED TO ANYONE. They are not even deserved for ANY RATING and they are best suited for 0 (ZERO) Rating. They are highly reluctant when refunding the customers deposit while they collect the advance rent and deposit upfront before we check-in the property. We checked out the property 6 EAST PARK, Crawley RH10 6AS and did several follow ups (47 conversations) with the customer care and the guy (Crawley and Horsham Portfolio Manager) who has been allotted for us, but the answer we got from them was ‘we are progressing, etc.’. We are highly frustrated and disappointed for not getting proper response from CHOICES. A very poor customer service of no use in customers point of view. A very little effort has been taken by Crawley and Horsham Portfolio Manager, that too with 47 E-Mail communications in between us, though most of E-Mails cc'd to customer services who never bothered about our E-Mail on refunding my deposit. They have few landline numbers which are useless as they won’t connect straight away, luckily we got connected to SENIOR Crawley and Horsham Portfolio Manager who did the partial refund of my deposit, though it’s partial refund we appreciate her as she did the partial refund in 1st call. When we ask the landlord for this property, he says that he communicated to CHOICES to release the fund and his duty is over. He won’t bother much as his property will be in the business in a day or 2 after I check out. The landlord for this property would approve the deduction that the Letting Estate Agent CHOICES recommends, even CHOICES recommend a deduction of complete 100% deposit the landlord would immediately approve because he gets money easily and approving is an easy job. At 58th of E-Mail communications in between me and Choices, we received my overpaid refund, after 29 days (nearly 1 month). Why should we take so much pain and beg with CHOICES Real Estate to get my (tenants) money back. We question CHOICES and the landlord of 6 East Park: You take no pain and no delay when collecting the money from tenants, but why are you too much reluctant in giving back them to tenants? Does it mean that the tenant’s money is cheap or you think that tenants would be left helpless (once they checked out the property) except begging with you guys to get our money. Don’t do that. Just be fair with the tenants. We advise these types of letting agents CHOICES and greedy landlords for not to misuse the tenants advance rent and the deposit. Be genuine while you calculate the deduction for taking incorrect information from letting agent. I’ve mentioned few of the below things that Choices deducted for. • Lights £20, claiming £5 for each 28w halogen light when they available 2 for £1 shops • Cleaning cost for £200 when the house is checked out so clean • £30 Safety catches on the cooker • Renewal fee: £95 • Inventory fee: £95 (they just collect the keys from the property), worth to collect £95? • £30 for a stain on the small curtain. In total: £470 The safety related things are to be taken care by landlord while tenant can ensure that there is no safety related issue, if any then the tenant will report to landlord. The property was checked out so clean with weekly maintenance and proper cleaning, but still the landlord approves the cleaning cost £200 recommended by CHOICES. Luckily we did take photos when we checked out and we’ve sent the photos of the property to the landlord of 6 East Part just to show clean it is. He must realise. Is this fair to collect £200 for cleaning or this money is for renovating the house? I advise the CHOICES Real Estate and the landlord to sensibly think and calculate while deducting the money from tenants from their deposit or overpaid rent. DO NOT MISUSE THE TENANT’S DEPOSIT AND OVERPAID RENT.

I recently bought my house through Choices and I can honestly say it's been a breath of fresh air dealing with them. They go above and beyond to ensure a personalised, stress-free experience during every part of the process. Kirsten and Adam have catered to our every need and have managed a particularly difficult buyer for us seamlessly. Would highly recommend if you're looking for estate agents that think and act like human beings (a rare find in our experience!)

I would just like to pass on my thanks to Phoebe Gardner in the Redhill office. She has been super-efficient and extremely helpful in dealing with all enquiries and requests. Her professionalism is without question and she is a real asset to the Choices team.

I have been with Choices Estate Agency since 2011. I am impressed that the company has a strong teamwork and very professional. Director Anthony Day , Stephanie , Heighley and Portfolio Manager Adrian are very helpful. Adrian has a good communication with landlord and tenants. Thank you very much to all of you!

Good range of plumbing products but terrible customer service. They don't seem to have much time for their customers. Shame how these small local shops don't make the extra effort for their customers.

I was happy when I moved into a property despite some problems initially and even was happy to go with them in the future for any property enquiries. But recent, experience when I have to move out the property, I got disappointed. I won't recommend them for renting home though them, as a landlord or rentee. If you have to move out of the contract with genuine reason and as per the agreement they will create lot of trouble to both landlord and rentee. Better stay away from them. I strongly do not recommend due to my recent experience happening moving out of property, with genuine reason which they are not ready to accept creating trouble which is causing lot of metal stress to me. Customer service representative for move out, Amy is delaying the response a at this moment.
We are very sorry you are not happy with the way we have dealt with your move out, we will look into it,please can you email our customer service department with more specific details.

I have used choices on 3 occasions now selling my own home plus a buy to let I had and recently my parents home. Nicola, Matthew and the team have taken the stress out of selling my properties keeping in touch on a regular basis so I know exactly what’s going on. Best of all on each sale the price I achieved met with my expectations. Keep up the good work and thank you once again.

They are horrible. They never respond to any query and always put excuses when you have any problem. I regret having rented with them.
Dear Blana Martin, Thank you for your feedback, I appreciate the time in your comment. I would personally like to help you with this matter, and ensure that the outstanding query is dealt with immediately so that you are happy. I have just search our Croydon office system, and I can't seem to find your name, it may be in relation to another branch within the Choices group. However, I do want to help you. Please can you contact me directly, on 0208 680 1414 or email me at danielthornton@choices.co.uk. I hope that this is ok, and I look forward to hearing from you. With warmest regards, Daniel Thornton Lettings Branch Manager Choices Estate Agents.
