GoogleDaniel and Tom sold my property for over the asking price within a timescale that suited me.
I was even more impressed with the service they provided whilst the sale was going through with constant updates so I could feel at ease thought out the whole transaction. Thank you! Would recommend!

GoogleMy partner and I decided to downgrade and sell our home as our last daughter decided to move out. I didn't have any experience with the estate agents in Waltham Abbey so I decided to test them all.
The agents were shoddy to say the least, they just didn't feel trustworthy which in my opinion is extremely important. I was about to give up but luckily Castles came to the rescue. They are just a cut above the rest in Waltham Abbey and go the extra mile with service, in particular the Branch Manager Daniel Tagliarini made me feel really welcome and I trusted them.
So within 2 weeks my house was sold for full asking price and Daniel also found the perfect place for me as well. 11 out of 10 for me!!
To top it all off my daughter's house fell through with another agent in Waltham Abbey (typical), which left us disappointed but Castles were able to also find her perfect place as well.

GoogleDaniel and his team in Waltham Abbey proved absolutely invaluable during a particularly complex property transaction during this summer.
His professional courtesy, pragmatism, depth of understanding on complex legal and land matters and tenacious approach to getting the job done, ensured that every apparently insurmountable hurdle was overcome with relative ease and good humour.
I'd have no hesitation whatsoever in recommending Daniel and his team and would definitely be retaining them for all future transactions.

GoogleDaniel & Tom worked TIRELESSLY to ensure my sale went through, was chain free so supposedly straightforward. Due to no-one's fault we hit some delays but Daniel & his team ensured that all stakeholders were communicating regularly and doing what was required.
I truly feel that Daniel does what that cliche says...goes that extra mile.
Can't recommend team enough as before I even met the guys, it was their very slick marketing that caught my eye!
Have already recommended to a friend who will soon be moving; use Castles as Daniel & team are superb!

GoogleThey are the worst ever Estate agents. They are nice and friendly at the beginning, however thier selfish, rude, shady, lying, muniplitive ways soon show. They are professional con artist posing as people who actually care about the Students when they do not care, we are all just £££ signs to them.
They rarely replied to emails, or calls. Everytime we called them to speak to Pareen or Karen we were told they were not there. If there is a problem in the place you are staying you will have to wait a couple of months and hours of calling, emails consistently for them to get the point. We moved out in July and yet we are only receiving a fraction of our deposit back.
Point is try to avoid this estate agents!! Believe me when I say it will be the worst mistake of your life. Avoid them at ALL COST!!!!! Do not fall for thier con act. That is how they trap you!!
Thanks
Nikita

GoogleScammers!
If I could rate the 0 stars I would as the 1 is certainly not deserved. I moved out in July and still don't have my deposit back, not do any of my housemates. They would not reply to our emails or calls nor give us a legitamit reason as to why they could not give them to us. We went through a dispute with my deposits and they were just as useless. Only going to be get a small amount of my deposit back.
I left he house very clean and tidy yet Castles are claiming a ridiculously high amount from our deposits for cleaning and charging us for things that were not damaged or broken but they claim them to be. I even had water pouring through my ceiling at one point and could not sleep in my room for several days, yet they did nothing but seal the shower in the above bathroom that was causing the problem. My room was completely ignored.
Although they may seem nice in the beginning they have scammed us completely and I don't believe that we are the only ones.
I urge anyone to avoid dealing with them and look elsewhere

GoogleI would advise any future tenant to avoid Castles as much as possible. I have rented through them for over a year and the service is just as appalling as their manners. Any repairs of sort has taken me anything between 4 and 10 weeks. Contractors working for them were often explaining to me on the phone that I was the last of their priority as Castle hasn’t paid them in months. Inspections are forceful and there is no flexibility to rearrange to a suitable time. Finally when it comes at moving out they have tried anything to retain my full deposit with no reason so that I had to resort to arbitration to get the most of it back.
For me, this is without any doubt the worst agency I have dealt with in the UK so far.

GoogleI wish, I could have given 0 stars, the staff has no manners, especially this one woman who called yesterday saying that they would inspect my house without me being there, when they know I work during the week and I can only attend appointments on the weekend, they ignored it and yet she was so rude over the phone. Seriously I wish I had recorded the call so I could sue the poor costumer service and the way she said she didn't care if I was or not in my house while this inspection was being done, so bloody abusive and then she comes up saying 'We don't know what you're doing with the house or if you're growing weed' seriously?, she left me speechless with the stupidity of her comment when I had already agreed to have an inspection but with me being there I'm not willing to allow a random person to walk in the place I live in while I'm not there, that's rather abusive. ABSOLUTELY ATROCIOUS.

GoogleNever received dispute numerous chasing payment from student manager or contractor (only one)for payment made on behalf of landlord (company owner) to enable same day repairs to allow students to move into an unready house - my good will to resolve a situation has been taken advantage of - this and many other reasons supports my decision to resign last year and I would agree with many of the other negative comments and reviews based on my working experience and the subsequent resignations of other members of the letting team further more leads me to believe I made the right decision.

GoogleHonestly guys the only reason why they have one star is because I can't give them 0. PLEASE AVOID THESE PEOPLE AT ALL COSTS. They will take you on a viewing to see nice houses make u make a non refundable deposit and summer retainer only for u to not get the house u want. I'm not alone in this practically everyone I know has a problem with them. If there is a fault in the house they take ages to get back to you and it might never be fixed. We had a hole in our ceiling in the kitchen which would leak with water every time someone showered and for months we told these ppl but they basically fobbed us off. No one is ever available to return to your emails/calls or they will tell you someone else from their team will get back to you but they are all as useless as each other from the manager right down to the agents. PLEASE SAVE TIME , MONEY AND SANITY and go somewhere else it is not worth it.
I WISH I HAD READ THE REVEIWS ON HERE BEFORE I WALKED INTO THAT GOD FORBIDDEN PLACE.

GoogleThis is the worst estate agents I have ever dealt with. I live in a property managed by them. I only wish the actual landlord knew how bad they are. The staff are rude on the phone when you call to report an issue. I am forever leaving messages for them to call back, but they never do.
Anyone looking to go with them please heed my advice and avoid. I cannot wait until the lease ends.

GoogleMy friends & I are currently renting our student house through Castles this academic year and have just chosen another house to rent through them for next year. Castles were extremely helpful in finding us our house this year and have been very supportive throughout our Tenancy so far hence the reason we have decided to stay with them next year. We would highly recommend all students to go to Castles as they will be sure to find you the right house and they are always there to give you a helping hand in any way they can. Thank you Castles for all your help in finding us our amazing house this year and another lovely house for next year. Thanks so much Guys. :-) x

GoogleThis company is a stereotypical example of a money-grabbing lettings agency taking advantage of students inexperience in the property market. It has been about 5 months since we moved out of one of their houses and we have had no contact regarding our deposit, not even anything regarding a date. The only way we managed to even get them to acknowledge the existence of our deposit is when we wrote a formal complaint to them en masse (there were 10 of us in the house).
While we lived with them, they were terrible, they promised a professionally cleaned house, when we got there it's as if they waved a broom at it, not cleaned it. I think we left that house in a better state than when we moved in. When it came to maintenance visits and property viewings, they were erratic and never told us when they were coming, they also viewed the house for people when no one was present or aware of the viewing.
On the whole the staff are very nice, with the major exception of one who I feel was never very professional at all (their name begins with 'p' if you've dealt or are dealing with them, take a wild stabbing guess at who i'm referring too, it shouldn't be hard), they're just poorly managed.
In conclusion, I don't know why I didn't write this sooner, I would never look for a property through them again, I would never suggest them to people, I would sooner suggest squatting than dealing with them.
In regards to our deposit as well, they never gave us a deposit scheme number, so we can't go to the property ombudsmen to get our deposits back. In short, they suck.

GoogleNO STARS! POOR POOR POOR SERVICES!
WORST LETTING AGENCY I HAVE EVER HAD EXPERIENCE WITH!!! This agency promised us a house that would be totally refurbished. However when we arrived to move in, the house was trashy, it smelt, there were flies in the living room, sticky carpets and a dirty kitchen. Following that, majority of the lights did not work, my bed was broken which left me without one for 2 weeks! Some door frames were not attached to the wall, one of the toilets does not flush, the oven doesn't work and many more problems. Not to mention, they did not tell us about paying the first months rent before paying the deposit and summer retainer. They had the cheek to tell us that we could not move in until mid way through that month, this comes as a big blow to us customers.
At first glance the company appears to be a friendly professional, student caring establishment. But it seems as though they play on the fact that some students are naive enough to accept less then they were promised, not to mention less then they deserve. Pereen is a lady who appears to be understanding of the student community. However, once the money aspect is not involved, she pulls away from the agreement and plays no further part in paying attention.
As a summary the best advice would be to steer clear of this unethical company! They don't know how to handle their customers complaints, and frankly its appalling.
p.s WATCH OUT FOR PEREEN!

GoogleOne thing is clear, the big boys are not the best when it comes to local estate agencies. Castles, Marina in particular, was fantastic. Great communication (even though we were based overseas) and a wonderful willingness to go above and beyond to make the whole process smooth and pain free means I can, without hesitation, recommend Castles to anyone looking to utilize an estate agent for anything in the area.
