Fantastic support

We were really impressed with the quality of the sale provision and how Charles Carr marketed our property. They sold it quickly (which turned out to be the easy part of the process). Unfortunately our buyer's below us ended up having three different buyers, all with different agents etc but also (as it turned out) a solicitor's that made mistakes on their paperwork etc etc. This meant that it was incredibly hard to get information through the chain about what was going on, however the staff at Charles Carr were AMAZING. They tirelessly contacted agents, solicitors, brokers further down the chain and kept in daily contact with us through all the difficulties. I think without them not only would we have lost the house we were buying as they would have got fed up and left, but we would have ended up losing our sale as well. I believe they saved the whole process through the professionalism of their staff. I cannot thank them enough.

Mr LLoyd Westall was extremely helpful in our dispute with Countrywide Mann

We switched agents shortly after our contract with CM expired because of lack of progress. They said we couldn't do this without paying two lots of fees.. Lloyd advised us that this was not true. and when CM harassed us and eventually took us to court helped us enormously by specifying our grounds for refusing to pay. .He was, therefore, instrumental in CM abandoning their court action, thereby saving us several thousand pounds. I always found him helpful and easy to deal with. At first I found him hard to contact but once I realised email was the best way of contacting him that was no longer an issue. To recap, Lloyd was helpful, and always had a positive attitude throughout our dispute.

Outstanding from beginning to end

All of the team at Charles Carr have been absolutely superb from start to finish. Having never sold a property before and having heard everyone’s terror stories of awful estate agents, I wasn’t looking forward to it. However, Charles Carr have been an absolute dream! They’ve seen us through every step of the sale and even gone above and beyond to ensure that our purchase (with a different agent) has stayed on track. Louise Carr has been incredible and I can not commend her highly enough for the work she has put in to ensure everything has gone to plan. Charles Carr had the house sold within a week and we are due to complete within 10 weeks of having the offer accepted on our purchase. Above and beyond service

We have had a turbulent time selling our house with other agents. To say it's been stressful doesn't even come close. From initially not being sent a copy of the signed Agency Agreement through several cancelled viewings, a whole 10 days without a viewing, the "information sheet for your reference" not being included with either of the Formal Confirmation of Purchase letters, not being told who our "allocated specific member of staff" was, three weeks with no updates on progress (with both offers), failure to recognise the signs that our first buyers were about to pull out, no evidence of any "chasing and providing regular updates on the progress of our sale", a lack of knowledge of our sale among the "18 members of staff" making up the "collective team", being told to drop our key in at one of your Bitterne offices but finding it locked and in darkness when we got there and having to go to the other office where a team meeting was taking place and we were made to feel like we were intruding, being told that we could "collect the keys" for the house we had just sold when we were just enquiring as to whether the funds for the sale had been received - and finally, not being sent the link to this review. In short, very disappointing service and would definitely NOT recommend you.

Fantastic sale!

My wife and I recently decided on selling our property so popped into Charles Carr Bitterne branch and got speaking to Rebekah. What initially we anticipated would be a stressful experience (as we are first time sellers) actually turned out to be far from it. Rebekah was very knowledgeable, friendly and helpful and we were kept in the loop during the whole process and frequently updated throughout. We received much more than we expected from the sale too, which we are ecstatic about. Overall the experience has been very pleasant and dealing with Rebekah has been magnificent, she really made the whole ordeal a breeze and we are more than happy with our experience at Charles Carr.
