Andy the remedial painter came around to make good a water stain on the ceiling after a minor flat roof leak. He was impeccably good mannered, fastidiously tidy and did an excellent job. Excellent customer service from Cala Homes.

I’m so glad I’ve waited a year before posting a review. I’m the beginning everything was great. The sales team in Lancing, especially Georgina and Tracey, were very attentive keeping us informed about the progress and answering our emails quickly. There was a small issue with the wrong carpet colour but I’ll haven’t noticed the incorrect colour name while signing the order, so I have myself to blame. All the snags were quickly dealt with by the site manager. Now, a year later, everything takes ages to resolve. The customer service is so non-existing. Their responses are: “I’m waiting for the manager to approve” or “It’s with the contractor”. We have a problem with drainage in our garden. Paddles of standing water on the patio and a destroyed lawn because water isn’t draining away. NHBC rules state that there shouldn’t be any standing water 2 meters away from the building. I have reported it to Cala and the Customer Service Manager qualified us for additional French drainage. That was back in February! I’m still waiting! I am not the one to complain or chase it every week but enough is enough. They haven’t even replied to my email sent a month ago. By the time they arrange for the contractor to install the drainage, it will be too wet to do it and I won’t get it done at all!

I would just like to thank Vicky Sowden for her outstanding customer service today. I have had issues with my snagging list for over a year that hasn’t been completed. I spoke to Vicky on the phone for 20mins going through the issues and within 2 hours she was able to contact the relevant companies and have a date and time booked in to suit me to have the issues resolved. Her customer service was excellent. Nothing was an an issue for her and she couldn’t be more helpful. She was so helpful and genuinely cared.

My wife and I have had a great experience with Cala, especially with Jennii who is our sales agent at the West Craigs development in Edinburgh. It became quite clear to us early on that everything that Cala has to offer oozes quality. From the design and layouts of each individual housing unit through to the fact that each of their properties come equipped with top class equipment and fixtures. We were convinced that Cala had the home user in mind throughout their design process. Jennii was especially helpful as she took the time to explain every detail to us and she has since worked closely with us, even through some challenging times, to help us navigate through the purchase process. Customer service is shocking! No help or assisting in finding a solution to our concern. Please be aware that at Cala 24 Rosemount development, and most likely the Kingsgate development in Aberdeen, if constructed the same, you WILL hear every footstep from the apartment above. 😳
