Exceptional sales and service experience from start to finish

I couldn’t fault anything about the entire Cala process. Excellent quality of build with practically no snagging at all on entry. The sales / service team at Queensferry Heights (our estate) were brilliant throughout on the run up to entry, clear communication and friendly help. Entry was on time; the build was on time and the post entry service has been exceptional. The site team (site managers, and other team members on site) have been first class and are literally always going out the way to help with anything we have needed. I’d give the entire experience (and team) six stars if trust pilot would let me.

I would give 10 stars if I could!

We have had most memorable experience with the Jordanhill Park team. A special mention goes to Sylvia and Lisa who have made this process (which can be daunting for a first time buyer) so simple, smooth and really special. Their knowledge and expertise is second to none and they have gone above and beyond to help us buy our dream home. You are a credit to the company. The quality and specification provided as standard by Cala is incredible - everything in the house is top of the range. We feel very grateful to be calling this development our home. Once they have your money, they do a disappearing act

Alot of these reviews seem like they are left by people who don't actually live in a cala home (just something to bear in mind).While we do like our new home and it's in a good location, getting any snagging issues seen too is like pulling teeth and the houses have been built in a rush so there is a lot of stuff. But they do their best to get out of fixing anything that "can't been seen from 2 metres away". Of course this is not mentioned before you move in, that there's rules to what is snagging and hoops to jump through.The gardens all flood and we've been waiting 6 months and still no progress.It's also clear that all the contractors cala employs don't respect residents while on site, and have been making noise from 7.30am onwards every week day of living here with no end in sight. If you are moving into a new build site even when they say they are nearly finished, they aren't. I often see people stood around doing nothing and every job that gets done is botched and rushed. They all seem to be keen to go home around lunch and so wake us up making noise first thing and then slacking off. Cala are just keen to make sales and once you're in, they don't really want to know. Just be aware this is how it will go, I'm not saying don't buy one if it's the place for you, I'm just saying go in with eyes open.

Definitely one of the better options for new builds

Just popped in for a chat about the Cala properties on Ayletts Green in Kelvedon, with just a general interest as we're looking to move. Spoke to a lady called Janet, who normally works in Great Bentley. Really friendly, knowledgeable and helpful, she answered all of our queries fully and offered us lots of advice. Couldn't recommend her any higher and the houses were lovely too, just unfortunately out of our price range.

Sales Team Excellent! Customer Service team pleasant but really slow. I have been left with a disgusting mouldy bathroom for 8 weeks.

Sales team were excellent when we moved in 8 months ago, and cant speak highly enough of them!However, aftersales comes across as disorganised and passive. The customer service team are lovely and polite on the phone, but take far too long to reach solutions. I have had a leak in my shower that has ruined my carpet, tiles and skirting leaving my bathroom covered in mould. The only issue with the shower was that it wasn't sealed properly. This should be an easy fix, but for some reason 2 months down the line I am no closer to having it sealed, although I have been booked in for a joiner to fix the skirting. Not sure what the point in fixing the aesthetics before the actual problem is. I am absolutely not one to complain; I have actually never left a review or complained about any transaction/service before. I totally appreciate this is a complete first world problem but it's only fair that it is fixed. Especially as it is an easy fix that is being drawn out far longer than it should have been, and as a result the damage has become very significantly worse than when first reported. The only people who have been good at getting back to me is the sales team, and this really isn't their fault or area of concern! They are lovely and very attentive but it seems that this is out of their hands to some degree. I just really want this fixed as my bathroom is disgusting, mouldy and smells bad. I cant use my bedroom as it is my ensuite. I don't feel anyone is appreciating how unpleasant it is to live in a mouldy house - especially one which is less than a year old and cost a significant amount of money. I don't want to place any blame on customer service advisors as they are really pleasant and sound as though they are really busy. However, I think 8 weeks for a very small job is very unreasonable. I would also like confirmation that it will not be left to me to pay for a new carpet and tiles, seen as these now both need replaced due to the length of time this has gone on.

Cala Homes Southwood - A lovely journey throughout

Positives - I had a lovely purchasing experience with Cala Southwood, where the sales team was always present to support and advise on any concern or query that I had regarding the process. Cala has a very streamlined process and with very clear instructions for each step of the way.Special thanks to Maria Aspinall who has been nothing short of Brilliant and one of the main reason we had the confidence to proceed with Cala. Maria has always been present to help us with any question, no matter how small or big it might be. Also I cannot thank Maria enough for the requests she met along the way.Also thanks to Dave Jones for sorting out the snag issues and our requests.Areas of Improvement -I am very happy with the aftercare and quality of snag fixes. However, in hindsight I think it would be a great help to have a online portal or page to raise and monitor issues. This can mitigate a lot of issues with Comms that we had along the way. But I also appreciate that fixes sometimes take time with possible wait times. Overall I highly recommend Cala, as I am really impressed with the quality of the build and the amazing sales team.

Excellent Customer Service

Cala clearly puts customer service above all else from my experience. They were beyond helpful with my purchasing and moving-in process during a very busy period for me, where I was away for long stretches at a time. The staff were always polite and helpful, and any initial snagging issues were sorted out the same day I mentioned them. Overall the build quality is the best I've seen from a new build and I really can't fault much at all.

Simply Outstanding

When my wife & I entered the Cala Homes the personnel of Cala welcomed us and treated us very professionally from start to finish. We were met by Ellis who showed us the Showhome and made us feel very at ease, nothing was a problem to him. The standard of the Cala house was impressive compared to other builders that we looked at. The way the house was built was exactly what my wife and I were after, the quality & the way the house was laid out was fantastic. What also helped make our decision to decide to buy the home was the way Ellis treated us, he was so patient and caring and with the help from Erin it made our decision much easier. They make a great team. We cant wait to move in. Thank you Ellis & Erin
