Positive experience, lovely helpful team.

We absolutely love our new home. There were 7 month delays on our build & we lost our initial mortgage offer due to it taking so long to complete (very stressful). But Cala did everything that they could to ensure we could still afford to buy the house with the rising interest rates. They literally moved mountains for us. James & Belinda in the marketing suite were so kind & helpful. They put us in contact with the Senior sales manager (Louise) & Construction Manager (Owen). Louise, & Owen were arranging Teams meetings upon my request, with weekly updates. They took our concerns onboard & made it work for us & did their utmost to manage our expectations. A massive thanks to Managing Director Glenn Copper too. We understand that most of the delays were out of their control as labour & material shortages/lead times were part & parcel of it all & although sometimes we felt disheartened, we never felt ignored or like we weren’t a priority.In addition to the above, Kieren, who saw us through our snagging list was always in touch & got the major stuff done within the 8 weeks before passing us to customer care.Thanks again everyone!

NO GREEN SPACE IN A RURAL COMMUNITY

You have been building and still are building in South Queensferry Edinburgh Scotland. I am born and brought up in South Queensferry and was absolutely shocked and astonished at the amount of green space Cala homes have taken over for their unaffordable homes,nearly half a million upwards. This is disgusting. Cala homes have completely destroyed South Queensferry and pushed up the prices of houses here, so much so locals can't even get on the ladder of your so- called affordable homes...yeah right. I can't believe you've convinced Edinburgh Council and South Queensferry District into building these houses so you can all rub your hands together for profit over keeping South Queensferry original with plenty green space like it used to be. You should all be ashamed of yourselves, shame I didn't return early enough to put a stop to your plans.

So far so great!

From our first visit to Cala at Wintringham Park to our second one to reserving our plot and working through the stages leading to buying it, which we are still in the midst of now, M and R (alphabetically, because they have both been equally important to our journey) have been extremely welcoming, personable, professional, knowledgeable, and helpful. Buying a new place is undoubtedly a privilege! Still, it has its stresses. Having such a great team in place to go back to for support has been essential to making this journey less stressful on us as a couple. M even helped me peruse hospitals in the region, as I need to move my treatment from my current one in London to one that's nearer the new residence! And R has been a well of patience (you've seen how much I write, you can only imagine how much I talk!). As we move through our journey, I will be back for a review of the home we've decided on.

Andy is super friendly and warm. His work is meticulous and tidy. Andy took the time to explain why an issue had come about and how he would repair it. On another note, Andy was brilliant and kind with our three year old who followed Andy around “helping”. Andy went out of his way to ensure our child felt included in “helping!” Thank you so much Andy!
