Great Company

We have been in our home for almost 18months and from the offset CALA have been great. Matt, Site Manager, was always at hand to help with any issues that arose and they we generally sorted immediately.Our point of contact for Customer Support has been Rebecca. Always really helpful and super fast in replying to any queries. We recently decided to have an inspection, which we sent directly to Rebecca. Within 24hrs an appointment was made to review the inspections finding and within 7 days a Service Manager visited our home.

Stay away!! I got a flay through my local council anenity/disabled flat newly built by cala.They are incompetent. They basically bought the land and cut corners and got the cheapest materials and the cheapest companies to build the flats.My co2 has been high for over 1 year, I am always unwell, the highest was a few nights ago when I took my first asthma attack in 20 years. I checked my co2 reader and it was sitting over 6000. Tenants and council have been hounding cala to get the repairs done or they cannot take over the building. My tilt and turn window door in sitting room fell off on top of me every time I tried to open the door. I have a spinal stenosis so this was horrific. They put a latch on it so I can only open the window a little bit! My shower drain was at the entrance of the walk in shower the only bit to get into the shower was where they put the drain, I slipped and fell countless times and took over 1 year to lift the floor and move the drain so I didn't need to step over it. Every flat had the same issue. They used floating floors and everytime I do a wash my neighbour underneath me has to take her pictures off the wall as they fall off when I use my machine. I have purchased 3 new washing machine in 1 year thinking it was the machines I was buying. But they confirmed its because of the floating floor issue.The myson materials they used for the heating system is not the best (read reviews). My co2 reader was installed neat the bedroom door when it clearly states in our hand books not to install near a wall or window. So the co2 is getting some are from the door so no doubt my reading should be higher even though they are high already. I have been ill since moving here 1 year ago with headaches, dizziness, passing out, loss of concentration, confusion racing heart rate all due to the c02 at night time. I am only 44 I thought I had early dementia! That is how bad I felt and my gp confirmed the symptoms are related to the co2.I am going to a lawyer. I have never seen or dealt with a company so incompetent in my life.

When we first moved in, the cala customer service left a lot to be desired. We raised snagging issues and wouldn't hear back for weeks or months, people would turn up at our house to fix things with no notice, and the repairs that did happen often needed multiple repeat visits.I have to say that since Vicky Sowden took over our snagging account, we couldn't be happier, things are fixed promptly, we get lots of updates and wrte very happy with the service we've been receiving

Sales process Horsham

For now, I can only comment on the sales process as we are yet to move into our property (7days to go!!!)From the moment we arrived at the Cala site in Horsham we were warmly welcomed by Suzie and given all the information we were initially looking for and shown a couple of show homes which we loved! We were not pressured at all and went away to think about how we were going to proceed (buy new or older build).We decided to return once more to look at show homes and around the development with some family members. This time we met with Katie and my word she really was wonderful (and this is still true today) showing us around and answering all of our questions. We noticed a house type that there was no show home for unfortunately nor was one available, but there was something that felt like this could be our home. Fast forward a bit we were told a plot had become available and we reserved it soon after! The fun began after that when we got to choose our interior options which we have now seen completed and love. I’d also like to mention that we have met with the senior site manager Joe on two occasions and he was brilliant both times, making sure we were well informed and that our property was going to be in the best condition for handover.I’ll be back somewhere down the line to review the next stage of our journey.

We’ve just reserved our new home so it’s admittedly early days but so far we’ve had magnificent service from Sylvia, Lisa and Helen at Cala Jordanhill Park. CALA Homes part exchange scheme

My wife and I had viewed CALA properties at the Lancing site and thought it would be an ideal property and location for the two of us to retire to. The thought we could possibly part ex our present home, North of Cambridge appealed but would it be possible? After the initial suggestion we both got a call from Callum McIntyre who is the part ex manager for that area. He was happy to come and view our property to see if there was a deal to be had. We had already got one valuation from a local estate agents and Callum arranged for another local agent to come and view the property on behalf of CALA. Once Callum had received that he made the journey to view the house for himself. He had clearly done his homework prior to the visit because he knew quite a bit about the village before he arrived. He arrived on time, was extremely polite and professional and explained the part ex process as he went along. Thankfully he was happy with our home and based on the two valuations he already had he would compare those and his own thoughts. Before he left he mentioned that he would do his best to get the valuation details to us both by the Friday of that week and, true to his word, it arrived as planned. In the meantime we had guesstimated what the value might be and what we would like it to be. The valuation was very thorough and compared all of the properties that were for sale, or recently sold, in our village and how long they had taken to sell or been on the market. All this information was clearly laid out and lead to Callum's valuation of the property. Thankfully it was well above our guesstimation and has made it possible for us to start the process of buying our new home at Lancing. So far everything has been velvety smooth from saying yes to the purchase. A further visit to the site proved to be very beneficial with Georgina leading us through what happens next, in the friendly manner she has always shown us. All I can say now is Thank You Callum and we are now looking forward to our new start in 2024.

I have just moved into my new home at New Monks Park ,Lancing and I have received excellent customer service from the Cala Team starting from day one visiting the site with Georgina from the sales team to handover of my new home with Tracey from sales and Bobby from the construction team . The journey from reservation via Cala Part Exchange to completion has been smooth,most informative and helpful .On moving into my Dinford new home, both Bobby and Joe from the construction team have regularly checked everything is ok and always most helpful ! Limsi Grove exceptional experience

The team at CALA homes in Limsi grove, Hertford have been exceptional from day 1. They go out of their way to provide a great customer experience - from viewing the show home, to looking at various plots, to the IGM meeting where they run through all things plot and site so you understand not only what your building is made from but also where all the water/foul water pipes are, whether you have street lamps outside and how the whole site drains etc. No question is out of bounds and they make a pretty good cup of tea too!
