Had a problem with the doors. Unfortunately, the first firm Cala sent round said they could fix it but, later, couldn't source the part. The company that originally fitted the doors then came round and sorted it out.

After reading lots of horror stories about new builds we were really nervous about buying one. However our experience with Cala Homes at Rosebrook in Hambrook West Sussex has been excellent. From the staff in the sales office who looked after us during the buying process to the excellent site manager Simon who has kept on top of our little snagging issues since we moved in two months ago. We were not happy with the amtico flooring before we completed and the team worked together to have the floor completely replaced four days before completion because they wanted us to be happy with our new home. We have had nothing else major in terms of snagging and we are over the moon with our new home. I would 100% recommend Cala for the quality and their service. It’s great that the price includes everything where other developers advertise lower prices but by the time you add all the “extras “ they are more expensive.

Very disappointed in the way my partner and I were treated by Cala. We reserved a Plot after having sold our home in a short closed chain, as required by Cala. They decided to release the Plot as the sale in their opinion was taking too long. Even thought the Plot which was the show home was not ready to be occupied. Everything i had been told about the poor costumer service has been clearly evident in the appalling way we were treated by Cala Homes. I would not recommend this company to anyone.

Myself and my wife wanted to buy a new build, and after our first visit with Cala we instantly saw the house we wanted to call home. After initially meeting Lucy at Langmead Place, Angmering, we found she was very warm and welcoming with a friendly approach, which instantly made us feel at home. Later in the process we were introduced to Levi who was equally as professional and friendly. Both Lucy and Levi were on hand to help us with the whole buying process, keeping us up-to-date with every moving part, kept communicating with us regularly, very accommodating with every site visit and were on hand to answer any questions we had.They are truly a great team that really go above and beyond. I got a house built by Cala in Hitchin and as it's a new build it came with a few snags and issues here and there, as quite a few people came over to help fixing these, Tomasz stood out with professionalism and attention to details. 5 stars only for Tomasz and Cristi the site supervisor as they've been very helpful, if it wasn't for them, this would have been a 3 star.

Overall my experience was very mixed, breaking it down into several categories.PurchasingPurchasing experience was actually very simple and seamless, negotiations were fair and reasonable alongside being up to date with build progress etc.After sales and siteAfter sales and site were particularly very poor, I paid for myself a professional snag company to come in which was meant to be resolved by site before being handed over to customer care, the list itself was very conclusive but also not unreasonable, essentially various opportunities and missed deadlines and work needing to be done was largely due to poor site management and also Comms to the prospective contractors to remediate said snags.Customer careAgain mixed bag but recent and last experience with Kylie and Robby they were thorough and actually carried out their work with due care and attention.Works still outstanding and also director of customer care, Richard, isn't overly the must customer emphatic person to deal with.
