I found the meeting with cala sales person adn site engineer very helpful. Clearly explained the issues that a new built will have. After moving, we did have a few snags, but Cala has arranged for these to be reviewed and in the process of getting this sorted.

From the start of viewing and after purchase, I find the sales reaction is based on their interest and agenda. On the day of the viewing, they didn't give us sufficient time to view it and left us with the keys because she had an appointment. When we returned the keys to the sales, we expressed our interest, she suddenly had the time to explain more to provide further information.During the process, we received daily calls and emails for follow-up (aggressively), even after our solicitor contacted them which got us upset. Another example is that we were asking about the follow-up work and sales asked us not to copy them in the email. Overall, the sales lacks consideration, human touch and work only based on their agenda, interest and what is on their checklist.

We’ve been dealing with Fraz and Lynsey at the Erskine development for the past few weeks whilst searching for our new home and they’ve been absolutely wonderful. Always extremely welcoming despite the absurd amount of times we’ve turned up to pester them with mountains of questions, and always happy to answer our calls when we need advice, couldn’t have asked for friendlier sales reps. Definitely made our house shopping experience very pleasant, always going out of their way, above and beyond to help us.

I bought a new build and when I got my keys, the flat was not clean (as they said it would be professionally cleaned) and there was mould in all the rooms. We raised the issue with the sales team who seemed genuine and directed us to the customer services team. There were several snags before we even moved in and we then contacted the customer services team who were also less than helpful and not at all empathetic. This is the first home for my partner and me and it's a terrible start! Poor customer services to start with and who knows how the rest of the journey will go. Update:So the customer services team have since been in touch and things are moving forward. They're sorting stuff out on the "snag list" and have been kind enough to update me with the progress to allow me to move in.

Buying a Cala house you expect the after care service and team of sub contractors to resolve any issues quickly and professionally.
