Unfortunately the stock corporate response to the complaint by residents of Little Brook Road will not make us go away.We would like to know who in the 'Wider Team' is dealing with our complaint and how long is it going to be before anyone has the decency to talk to the Little Brook Road Management Company. Not a big ask.

TrustpilotLittle Brook Road Entrance Land Sale
When we moved into our new house in Little Brook Road, CALA said that the land at the entrance would be transferred to the residents.It tranpires that CALA never did this and have now sold the land to another party without giving the residents the chance to aquire the land. That company have since sold it on to another company. The Little Brook Road residents have paid for the upkeep of this land for over the 28 years and surely it was not CALAs to sell?Please investigate the legality of our position. Seems CALA are not to be trusted?

Instead of transferring the freehold of the common areas of land to the residents in their Roydon development, Cala have sold this land from under their noses - despite promising to do so in their sales literature and legal documents. Cala have also ignored all the correspondence sent to them by our management company who have maintained the land for 28 years.So much for their claim of providing outstanding levels of service to their home buyers.

Great experience, outstanding customer service. It's been a pleasure to deal with Cala at Maidenhill, Newton Mearns. Exceptionally well built property; very little in the way of snagging - the small issues that were reported to Cala were dealt with quickly and effectively by Claire. Special thanks to Andrew Galloway who visited us to repair a small defect on the kitchen door; his attention to detail and communication was excellent, we are very happy with the outcome. Full marks to everyone at Cala, including Billy the site manager, too.

Been in our house 2 years now, and Cala have been excellent all the way through - from sales, to the site team, the contractors fixing the snagging and most recently Darren and Lynne from Customer Services East, everyone's been a pleasure to deal with, really helpful, and we've got an outstanding house to show for it. From the start through to aftercare, Cala have been excellent all the way through, we genuinely have no complaints.

I have lived at Little Brook Road for over 20 years and for all that time the residents have maintained, at considerable cost the grass area as you enter the estate. It was understood that once the last house was built the land would be transferred to the Little Brook Road Management Company, however this was never done. It was brought to our attention that Cala had sold the land without giving any notice to the Management Company and that it has now been sold on yet again.Cala have treated the Management Company and residents of Little Brook Road with little respect by not having the decency to engage in meaningful dialogue.I would be very wary of buying from Cala after this experience.

I live in Little Brook Road, Roydon where the residents and Management Committee, (MC) are in dispute over open space land that should have been ceded to its' residents over 20 years ago. Instead, Cala sold this land, potential illegally to a third party without our knowledge. Since recently coming to light, Cala have shown nothing but contempt and disrespect to the MC and residents in their handling of this issue. Communication by their Customer Services is virtually nonexistent despite being forewarned that only recently the land was to be sold a further time to another third party. This is land whose maintenance and upkeep has been paid for by the residents for well over 20 years. If you are thinking of buying a Cala property I'd advise you to think again. They cannot be trusted. CALA ARE DEFINITELY NOT RECOMMENDED.

We bought our Cala Home 28 years ago in Roydon. For 28 years we have communally paid for the upkeep of the open space to the estate being told by Cala had transferred it to our management company. They have suddenly now sold on the piece of land that over the years we as an estate have paid a fortune to maintain. They have refused to reply to any correspondence the management committee has sent to them and aren’t giving any answers at all why they saw fit to sell this land. Disgusted with Cala for their underhand handling of this. Wouldn’t recommend them to anyone.

Bought a house on a Cala estate marketed with open spaces to enhance the environment. Cala setup a management company to collect fees to maintain these areas at significant cost to the residents. Cala represented at the time of purchase that they would transfer this land to the residents in due course. Cala have recently sold the open space to a property speculator behind the back of the residents, then when rumbled, hid behind a wall of silence. A risky ploy if they built it themselves!Shocking customer service.Re Cala response - I'm not assured in the slightest, your legal team should have been digesting this for the last 4 weeks, unless emails and registered post letters from customers to your CEO are automatically deposited in 'Junk'

Dear Cala I see your reply is the standard "kick difficult reviews into the long grass and hope they dont come back" approach. On this occasion you don't have to ask Trustpilot anything but simply ask your own Chief Executive who has full information but has clearly put it in the "too difficult pile" rather than deal with it" . A prompt response now ( 5 weeks later) would be appreciated. Downright dishonesty or honest mistake ? Cala homes promised in the legal documents to give the owners of their Roydon estate the freehold to the common areas of the estate. Behind our backs they sold it to what many would call a speculator and despite corporate babble on their website about "We take great pride not just in our product, but also in the outstanding levels of service we give to our homebuyers" after 5 weeks and numerous calls and messages including to the Chief Executive not even an acknowledgement or promise to look into / or remedy the issue. Terrible.

We had a leak from our ensuite bathroom which necessitated removing the tiles. Having tried unsuccessfully to locate matching tiles (the house was built by Cala 8 years ago), I rang Customer Services in desperation. They couldn't have been more helpful, and returned my call within 24 hours to say they had tracked the same tiles to a firm in Spain. I ordered them from Spain and paid a hefty sum for a box of 11 tiles (I only needed 4) plus delivery, but they matched! Problem solved! I would, however, recommend that Cala install toilets where the cistern is not hidden behind a tiled wall.

We were recently visited by Connor Campbell who came to deal with some snagging issues regarding our bathroom door. He arrived on time and was very pleasant and courteous. He fixed the problem very quickly and then gave us reassurance regarding some of the other snagging issues yet to be fixed. He also took the time to adjust both of our external doors even though that was not his reason for coming to our house. We really appreciate someone who gets the job done quickly and efficiently and goes the extra mile and we have no hesitation in recommending Connor. Thank you.
