GooglePROS: The start of our dealings with Balmforth was great. Cayley went above and beyond to assist with my partner and I in viewing the house we will be moving in to. She agreed to meet us after official work hours so we could still get a chance at viewing the house. Cayley was excellent at showing us around the house and making sure we were happy with what we had seen. She was incredibly friendly. CONS: The communication is terrible. As someone who is moving into their own property for the first time, there are a fair amount of questions in which we email across as both my partner and I work in between Balmforth's opening hours so cannot call. The responses to our questions can take days - sometimes we don't get a response so we are still in the dark about some stuff. There is no acknowledgement of the emails being received or that our queries are being looked into. If the communication was sorted out and responses were a bit quicker, the customer service would be much better.

GoogleI don’t normally leave reviews however felt I had to after the service I have received. So my mum lives in middle of nowhere 3 hours away with no immediate family around her, she now has few health issues so I needed to bring her down here so she can be around her kids and grandchildren so we can look after her and see her more. Found a ground floor flat in town right near where I live perfect contacted cayley from balmforth explained our situation and she was amazing flat ticked all the boxes for my mum she met my mum explained the whole process made her feel very comfortable as this is a big deal for her, nothing was to much trouble wasn’t pushy in trying to get it the flat let, stayed in contact with us right through to picking up keys any thing we thought we would have a problem with she had a solution for us. Staff team in the office very pleasant and helpful to talk to all messages we’re past on straight away. Thank you Cayley and the rest of the balmforth team you’ve helped our family more than you will ever know. If your looking to rent buy etc this is the place for you very highly recommended.

FacebookHaving sold our house in no time at all, Matt then continued to prove his tenacious manner by almost carrying out the job of the agent that we were buying our next property through, in a bid to ensure the process moved hastily. Communications were frequent, Monday through to SUNDAY, he was professional and diligent and I would recommend him and the team at Balmforth without hesitation. A 5⭐️ service for sure!

GoogleTerrible customer service. The lady on the phone was just ignorant. Had been booked in for a viewing that they changed the time of twice. After the 3rd change which made it an hour earlier than the original we said we'd be there as quickly as we could- but would probably be about 10mins later as was coming straight from work, about an hour away. They agreed that this was fine and said we would just have to have a quicker viewing- no problem. We arrived 5 mins later than the allocated time- but still earlier than we said. The person showing us around had already left- no phone call or anything to ask if we were nearby and refused to come back to show us around. The lady on the phone was even worse and outright rude saying it was our fault and they couldn't book us for a viewing for at least another week- by which time it would most likely have sold and so we had a 2 hour drive and had to leave work early for nothing. It's a shame because we were planning on offering substantially over the asking price after the viewing but will definitely not be buying with them anymore. Definitely avoid as a buyer or seller.NegativeProfessionalism

GoogleWe can't speak highly enough of the professional service we received from Balmforth Estate Agents (in particular Jodie Miller). From the initial viewings through to exchange and completion we have been kept informed and updated. Bookings were well organised and the viewees were carefully vetted. Communication was excellent and never a problem, we were always updated with the latest news (good or bad). GoogleWhat we liked the best about Balmfourth is that they responded back very quickly. When we first got here we didn’t have a UK cell number yet so we could not call so we had to email. Out of all the houses we inquired about Balmfourth was the first to respond, while some other agencies never replied back or it took a day or two to get a response. Also, they had multiple houses with in our budget and our needs that we looked at all in one day back to back to back. Highly recommend! From Megan and Sammi who got me on the market to Matt who showed me my dream home and helped me secure it and complete on both properties. FacebookGreat experience from start to finish and Matt who handled our sale made the whole thing that much easier. Throughout the process Matt was easy to contact, hot on chasing solicitors for us and keeping us up to date. Without Matt I don’t believe we would have managed to complete before the stamp duty holiday came to an end. Excellent professional service and would definitely recommend!

FacebookI honestly couldn't recommend Balmforth more! We've just completed the sale of our house and we were really happy with them at all stages of the process. We spoke to 4 different estate agents before choosing Balmforth but we chose them as their offer and track record were the most convincing. We are happy with how everything went - from the initial talks and valuation, through supporting us during the sale, to the amount we've achieved. Matt, who was handling most of the process, was absolutely brilliant - always on the ball and easy to reach whenever we had any questions. Really highly recommended!
