Atkinson Mcleod takes very seriously the return of deposits to tenants after a tenancy has ended. We employ a number of people specifically to do this job and aim to return deposits in a timely manner. Atkinson Mcleod hold deposits in deposit schemes on behalf of Landlords and do not have ultimate authority to return them to Tenants. We have to rely on the TDS Tenancy deposit scheme for approval along with the Landlords before we can return any Monies. We understand this can be frustrating for all concerned. GoogleBE VERY CAREFUL PEOPLE. THEY PROLONG GIVING YOUR DEPOSIT BACK. THEY ONLY INSURE IT SO THEY STILL HAVE ACCESS TO THE FUNDS AND WHEN YOU ASK FOR IT BACK THEY PROLONG. THEY ARE REFUSING TO GIVE BACK MY DEPOSIT UNTIL I PROOVE TO THEM THAT I HAVE CLEARED AL MY BILLS... HOW DOES ONE DO THAT? BE CAREFUL PEOPLE

GoogleThey make you pay for a professional clean after you moved out. Even if you have cleaned the property to the same standard as it was when you moved in!! Be careful guys 180 GBP!

GooglePlease be careful with this estate agent. We rented an apartment from them that was riddled with electrical faults, causing large electrical bills. They showed the new tenants whilst I was present without mentioning any of the issues. We moved in with the lamps broken and walls broken as they had desperately attempted to fix the issues before we moved in. The electrician they hired had permanently left the boiler on causing massive electrical fees for me to settle. We struggled to get any response from Atkinson Mcleod on the issue and it had left half the apartment unusable. Upon leaving the apartment we left it in a much better condition considering it was broken up by the electrician when we first moved in. They have not been responding to our emails on our deposits as they are associating the breakages in the apartment caused by their electrician to us. This is despite us taking photos and documenting the boiler issues early on in the tenancy, with photos. We are not hopeful on receiving our deposit anymore as Maria Mcleod and Ben Mcloed are refusing to speak to us. The apartments maybe decently priced. But the lack of upkeep and major faults caused this apartment to be an incredibly expensive endeavour for both me and my partner. Please do not make the same mistake we made and do not choose these people as your estate agent.

Hard to get hold of and once we were actually able to negotiate viewing a property, we were taken to see one nearby that was totally different, told on location that it the one we had booked to see had gone several days ago. I have dealt with tons of estate agencies over the last few months, and this outfit is totally unprofessional. There are many other, better established and well run places, that wont actively deceive you in pursuit of a sale, as Atkinson McLeod have tried to do in our experience.NegativeResponsiveness, Quality, Professionalism

GoogleWe were about to list our property with another estate agent, when we came across Philip and Atkinson McLeod and we are so glad we did. From start to end, he has made the stressful and complicated process of buying and selling, so much easier. He came to our property immediately that evening to value the flat and also brought along other comparables, so we could get a picture of what properties similar to ours were selling for. He took the time to explain the process to us, and was always at the end of the phone for a chat or text and to answer stupid questions. You get so many agents who can't tell their arm from their leg, but Philip was so experienced, knowledgeable and smart - meaning we could trust him with the biggest transaction of our life. If you are thinking of buying or selling with another agent, just don't. If we are to ever sell again, we would call on Atkinson McLeod (and hopefully Philip) again for sure. GoogleI am currently with Atkinson Mcleod and there is nothing I can complain! Harry dealt with the sales procedure with me, he was extremely patient, answered all of my questions even after his working hours. when I needed to measure the flat for furniture fitting, he took me into the flat for second viewing without hesitation. All of my requirements were communicated to landlord smoothly even I changed my requirements sometimes for the last minute. Given the full schedules of his work, Harry helped me as much as he can, and everything were done on time before I move in. Their account manager Lauren is also very kind, helped me with electricity and water issues, and calls back when there is misunderstanding in communication. Highly recommend!PositiveQuality
