GoogleAt the end of the contract they will do anything to keep the deposit. They will come up with any sorts of excuses. Just to give you an example: they want to charge us for a stain on the couch after we moved out. I bought a new couch the day before leaving. I left the couch wrapped. They want to charge us for a shutter in the window’s kitchen. We never had a shutter from day 1.

GoogleAtkinson McLeod manage and let a property for me and have done a great job so far. I don't live in the UK anymore and Shakil has done a great job to manage the property in the meantime, dealing with escalation from tenants in a timely and professional manner and always keeping me updated when any issues have been resolved. GoogleExtremely poor agency I wouldn't use Atkinson McLeod again if they paid me to do so! As a tenant the experience is awful. You have to keep on chasing them and asking for update even when basic necessity things like electricity and boiler stop working, and still they behave rudely and don't care about anything else but money.

GoogleWORST EXPERIENCE OF MY LIFE! I am warning everyone to stay away from ATKINSON MCLEOD Agency! Without a doubt, this is the worst agency I have ever dealt with. This agency is renting apartments without basic and essential health and safety checks. They rent apartments that have been recently 'refurbished' to only present well for viewing, however still not fit for rent. As safe and free from health hazards checks have not been completed, it was unavoidable for me to experience significant health issues and high-stress levels. If the correct checks were in place, the apartment wouldn't be on the market! Money is the only priority in their 'books,' As soon you pay the deposit and the money, THEY are happy. The moment things go wrong from the tenants' point of view, the agency does not provide any support and leaves you alone to fend for yourself. Robert Paul Lettings Manager. Absolutely Shockingly incompetent!! I will advise you demand to see valid gas/electrical certificate and EPC (minimum rating D) before you commit yourself or sign a new tenancy agreement contract.

GoogleAtkinson McLeod has been a great agency to rent a property with, the process with them is very smooth. Also their maintenance team is very helpful if you face any issues with the property. I would like to explicitly mention Angel from the maintenance team who was very kind and patient with us during our tenure and supported us with all the queries and issues we had, would recommend from personal experience.

I did not hear back in days, once I called them they stated that the property has been let to someone else without giving me any notice. They lied about trying to contact me and not being able to reach me. I would not recommend this agency to anyone. Save your time and money!!

GoogleVery bad experience with this agency. I strongly don't recommend them. I had a viewing, i submitted the offer as the agent adviced me i should hurry and secure the property and they did not send the offer to the landlord. After this they wouldn't answer to my calls or my text messages. Very unprofessional!

GoogleWe went to see the property and the agent, George, was late. We liked it and he asked us to put an offer on the property ASAP, there was another viewing one hour after us. He sent us a predefined offer by email, we signed it, then we heard nothing. We emailed, called and texted the agent for a few days, there was no answer. We ran into him on the street and asked him what happened, he told us somebody else submitted an offer 10 minutes before us and our offer was not even sent to the landlord. We did not believe the story for one second, we asked him how could the people after us submit the offer before us, it was not physically possible. And why they would not send all the offers to the landlord to decide, which is common practice? Horrible service, unprofessional and shady behavior, the negative reviews here are correct, avoid this agency at all costs!

GoogleSeriously Bad Property Managers I engaged this company to let and manage my apartment as I live overseas. They did not advice me on legal requirements and proceeded to let the property illegally. They allowed my property to fall into a complete state of dis repair despite me paying for regular redecorating and repairs. There seems to be an almost weekly turnover of staff and you can never get hold of anyone. They don't reply to emails and in the end I had to step in and manage things with the tenants directly. The tenants also informed me they had a similiar experience. Dont let these people let or manage your property they are completely irresponsible

GoogleI have been looking for a place in London and arrange a viewing 3 days ago with AM. I was told the only viewing slot was at 3pm so I took the afternoon off work. I received an email at 1pm on that day to confirm the viewing. I travelled all the way across london and arrived at the property. Then 10 minutes before the viewing was about to start I got a call from the agency saying it was cancelled, as it had been given to someone else. No respect for customers, I understand the london housing market is crazy but no decency to tell me with more than 10 mins notice. (Also no apology) I would avoid AM at all costs.

GoogleHorrible experience. Viewed a flat for rent which was incredibly dirty and messy. The estate agent lied and said the place would be professionally cleaned before moving in so we agreed a let. When we moved in it had not been cleaned and it was incredibly dirty and greasy throughout. The landlord said they never promised a professional clean and when reaching out to the estate agent he just said it’s no longer his problem and refused to help.

GoogleI signed up for property alerts while we were searching earlier this year. I have continued to receive these alerts, along with generic chaser emails from staff wanting to discuss my property search (which ended in March). Since March I have, on several occasions, requested to be unsubscribed from their mailing list but I continue to receive these emails. If this branch of Atkinson McLeod is this lazy about simple compliance with GDPR and correctly storing data, it makes me wonder how much care they put into the rest of their work. Glad I’ll never know!
