GoogleDanny Daly was an absolute joy to do business with. He was incredibly helpful towards the end of the conveyancing process following up with all parties to ensure that the transaction completed successfully. Also during the offer stage, I felt he was transparent and managed our expectations rightly. Danny was therefore instrumental in us being able to buy our new property, which we're absolutely delighted with! I'd recommend Atkinson McLeod as Estate Agents, specially Danny.

GoogleWe were about to list our property with another estate agent, when we came across Philip and Atkinson McLeod and we are so glad we did. From start to end, he has made the stressful and complicated process of buying and selling, so much easier. He came to our property immediately that evening to value the flat and also brought along other comparables, so we could get a picture of what properties similar to ours were selling for. He took the time to explain the process to us, and was always at the end of the phone for a chat or text and to answer stupid questions. You get so many agents who can't tell their arm from their leg, but Philip was so experienced, knowledgeable and smart - meaning we could trust him with the biggest transaction of our life. If you are thinking of buying or selling with another agent, just don't. If we are to ever sell again, we would call on Atkinson McLeod (and hopefully Philip) again for sure. GoogleI am currently with Atkinson Mcleod and there is nothing I can complain! Harry dealt with the sales procedure with me, he was extremely patient, answered all of my questions even after his working hours. when I needed to measure the flat for furniture fitting, he took me into the flat for second viewing without hesitation. All of my requirements were communicated to landlord smoothly even I changed my requirements sometimes for the last minute. Given the full schedules of his work, Harry helped me as much as he can, and everything were done on time before I move in. Their account manager Lauren is also very kind, helped me with electricity and water issues, and calls back when there is misunderstanding in communication. Highly recommend!PositiveQuality

GoogleI had appointment booked for a viewing and had to travel some distance to get there. Ben was the letting manager and as stated on his profile on the website, he hates lateness. Hahaha him turning up late would have been something, he didn't even bother to show up at alI.. I called his office numerous times whilst waiting like a numpty at the building for 45 mins, it rang then somebody picked up the phone but didn't speak, pathetic!! must have recognised my number. So I called from a different number and surprise, surprise Ben answers with a could not be bothered attitude to tell me that the property had already gone and he forget to let me know via email or a telephone call and also forgot to show up for the appointment. This is not how a professional business should be run. From reading the previous posts this seems to be a reoccurring theme with this company. I will never use this company again and would not recommend them to any of my friends.

GoogleThe team at Atkinson McLeod are one of the best I've worked with. Both the sales and lettings teams are professional, efficient and extremely knowledgeable of their local market. In particular, Adam Salem from the sales team needs to be praised. When I started talking to Adam about the sale of a property he was honest, transparent and spot on with his advice and recommendations. Always respectful and never pushy, he kept me up to speed and fully aware of key updates - be it during the day, evening or weekend. And when obstacles or questions arose, I had complete confidence for them being resolved quickly and positively when Adam said he would handle it. I can't recommend Adam and Atkinson McLeod highly enough!

GoogleHad a great experience with them. The negotiator's name who was helping me to make my decision was Manon. She was very patient and helpful in terms of negotiating and saving time and simply making the process easy and pleasant. Unfortunately, due to my own circumstances I ended up not taking the flat. So what I really appreciated was such a professional reaction, great support and zero problems with refunding my deposit. Also, the properties they have in Central East are simply amazing. Definitely coming back. Thank you Manon!

GoogleMy experience with Atkinson McLeod was as a buyer for a property they were representing on behalf of the seller. I had been looking for a property for a long time and they were much more straight forward than other estate agents I had dealt with which led me to making and having an offer accepted very quickly. The purchase soon ran into administrative difficulties between solicitors that lasted months. Out of frustration I called Adam Salem at Atkinson and within two weeks the purchase was closed thanks to his help. I can’t recommend them highly enough. Adam is a honest and experienced straight shooter, rare to find these days in property.

GoogleAt the end of the contract they will do anything to keep the deposit. They will come up with any sorts of excuses. Just to give you an example: they want to charge us for a stain on the couch after we moved out. I bought a new couch the day before leaving. I left the couch wrapped. They want to charge us for a shutter in the window’s kitchen. We never had a shutter from day 1.

GoogleI found that when going with Atkinson's estate agency, James was very helpful with explaining how i could go by selling my property. There were very easy and simple steps to follow and a straight forward process which any new buyer/seller would be nervous to discuss first time. James was very friendly and approachable regardless of the question which was asked. I would highly recommend him & Atkinson McLeod to anyone else who is looking in selling or buying a property.

GoogleWorst agency you can have, avoid at all cost. They dont reply during their working hours on fridays, nobody, not even in case of emergencies, answer on fridays after 5pm. It took me 3 months + many video proofs and emails to get my heaters changed. House was not clean at all when I moved in and some parts in bathroom were very rusty.

GoogleSuperb customer service and highly efficient. Ross was the letting agent who dealt with our enquiry. He found us a flat within 5 minutes of speaking to me - he listened so carefully to our requirements and got us exactly what we were looking for. He made the process really smooth and easy and was polite and communicative the whole way through. The most problem-free flat search I've ever had. Highly recommend. Thanks Ross!

GoogleVery friendly before signing contract but in case of problem they are able to let you without heater during 1 week whith minus temperature outside. Megan is very efficient when it's about harass you for paying rent or deposit but volontary don't answer during few days when it is for a major problem like no heater. Basically if it's a task which imposes her to work (not for collect money), she's suddenly absent.

GoogleWe went to see the property and the agent, George, was late. We liked it and he asked us to put an offer on the property ASAP, there was another viewing one hour after us. He sent us a predefined offer by email, we signed it, then we heard nothing. We emailed, called and texted the agent for a few days, there was no answer. We ran into him on the street and asked him what happened, he told us somebody else submitted an offer 10 minutes before us and our offer was not even sent to the landlord. We did not believe the story for one second, we asked him how could the people after us submit the offer before us, it was not physically possible. And why they would not send all the offers to the landlord to decide, which is common practice? Horrible service, unprofessional and shady behavior, the negative reviews here are correct, avoid this agency at all costs!

FacebookDISGUSTING! Atkinson Mcleod have been harassing me since 2008 when I posted an enquiry for a lettings agent on Right Move. 11 YEARS!!! I have contacted all of the offices via email and telephone. I have contacted all of the managers. I have contacted their head office and still the harassment persists because they have their heads so far up their own *rses that they don't care about customers. Now I've been forced to report them to nada and the Property Ombudsman. AM, you're a bunch of useless, egotistical cowboys.
If I needed a lettings agent, I would NEVER use this lot

FacebookWords can not describe just how bad the service is from not just Atkinson McLeod but also the landlord they used in our case. Me and my ex partner rented a place via them sharing a house with another tenant. After living their for around 8 months my partner and I split and obviously needed to move out. The housemate also decided to leave and move back to Poland. We never missed any payments and kept the place in exceptional condition. We paid to break the contract which cost an extortionate amount, but as stated due to circumstanced we paid anyway. They found new tenants immediately who moved in immediately after we left on the 28th February 2019. We paid to have the place deep cleaned by a company they recommended at a cost of £395. The clean was completed and the company sent pictures to show it was of a high standard. A check out report was sent on the 13th March which we responded to straight away to point out a few discrepancies (the report listed the sofas as not seen, we did not take them and they were in the cleaning pictures after we left). We did not hear anything back for almost 3 weeks, literally nothing despite several emails. We called them and was informed that the person dealing with out property had been on holiday for two weeks but was back in tomorrow. Apparently if someone goes away nobody covers their emails or work or even informs you (they also told us on the phone that despite the fact she was back tomorrow they only deal with deposit returns once a week so she might not even deal with it then). They have consistently told us they are chasing it up with the landlord and in the last week we finally thought we had success when the landlords deductions report came through. He claimed £74 for small things like light bulbs, ok fine and £180 for cleaning?!?!?! Despite us using the company they suggested and choosing the most expensive package which they also recommend. We are of course contesting this. It has now been 41 days since we left the property and 28 days since the check out report was sent and despite several more emails and phone calls we still do not have our deposit back. I urge anyone even thinking about using these scam artist to steer well clear.
Sorry to hear you also had such a bad experience. I’d recommend submitting a formal complaint to The Property Ombudsman, it takes a while but you could get compensation, and hopefully makes a point that estate agents shouldn’t be able to operate like this
