My estate agent Harry Foster was without a doubt the best estate agent I’ve worked with. He was very friendly, punctual, responsive to emails and calls and didn’t bat a eyelid at my daily calls to check on the progress of the house. In the viewing stage, he didn’t put any pressure on us to make a decision quickly and he ran through the process with us several times very clearly and the whole experience was very reassuring and ran smoothly. He also wore a mask and stayed his distance which was greatly appreciated. I’ve moved many times in the last few years and had lots of different estate agents and Akinson McLeod are the best I’ve used by a mile. I’ll be using them from now for every house move. Highly recommend Harry in particular but the company as a whole, very pleased with the whole process.

My first experience with Atkinson was with Claire at the Hackney office, to rent a flat out in Hackney... Over the last 18 months they have been amazingly professional. So much so that when the decision was made to sell the flat we stayed with Atkinson and used their sales team. Candy at the same office. Candy has been so friendly and her team have made me feel welcomed and valued, no matter the time I call or how small me question is. A delight to work with - if only I had more flats! (They love dogs there too - Hi from Roger the Dog...)

Letting agents do not always get the credit they deserve, for me as a landlord, the service i require is find me a tenant service, Claire is a credit to her company, she displays true professionalism and tenacity especially when dealing with a difficult customer like myself. All my calls was returned in a timely manner, all viewings were conducted without issues, and with her dedication a suitable tenant was found. The whole process was seamless and without issues, thank you Claire.

This is the second year I have used Atkinson McLeod Hackney to let my property and as before they have done a most professional job. As a landlord, there are two main criteria. The first is finding reliable and trusty worthy tenants who will be responsible, pay the rent and look after the property and the other is securing a tenancy as soon as is practical when the property becomes available. We met with Matt just once at a viewing, proposed an offer, negotiated a deal, signed a contract and moved in. The process was quite fast and efficient so Matt is a very good agent. However the flat we moved into was not cleaned properly as we agreed to, there are some other technical problems with the flat (heating does not work, loose shelves etc) and it takes ages for the agency to sort them out which we are not pleased about. It is not Matt's fault since he does not deal with the tenants after signing the contract.

Me and my friends been looking for 4 bedroom flat to rent in Hackney and the advert from AtkinsonMcLeod came across gumtree. I arranged a viewing with Vincent for the same day. Unfortunately the property wasn't exactly what we were looking for, but we quickly clarified what we actually need and Vincent suggested different house. At the end of the day we changed our minds and decided to live separate so we didn't rent any flat, but if we would, we would wait for the right one from AtkinsonMcLeod. Vincent is a good egg. DISGUSTING! Atkinson Mcleod have been harassing me since 2008 when I posted an enquiry for a lettings agent on Right Move. 11 YEARS!!! I have contacted all of the offices via email and telephone. I have contacted all of the managers. I have contacted their head office and still the harassment persists because they have their heads so far up their own *rses that they don't care about customers. Now I've been forced to report them to nada and the Property Ombudsman. AM, you're a bunch of useless, egotistical cowboys.

Words can not describe just how bad the service is from not just Atkinson McLeod but also the landlord they used in our case. Me and my ex partner rented a place via them sharing a house with another tenant. After living their for around 8 months my partner and I split and obviously needed to move out. The housemate also decided to leave and move back to Poland. We never missed any payments and kept the place in exceptional condition. We paid to break the contract which cost an extortionate amount, but as stated due to circumstanced we paid anyway. They found new tenants immediately who moved in immediately after we left on the 28th February 2019. We paid to have the place deep cleaned by a company they recommended at a cost of £395. The clean was completed and the company sent pictures to show it was of a high standard. A check out report was sent on the 13th March which we responded to straight away to point out a few discrepancies (the report listed the sofas as not seen, we did not take them and they were in the cleaning pictures after we left). We did not hear anything back for almost 3 weeks, literally nothing despite several emails. We called them and was informed that the person dealing with out property had been on holiday for two weeks but was back in tomorrow. Apparently if someone goes away nobody covers their emails or work or even informs you (they also told us on the phone that despite the fact she was back tomorrow they only deal with deposit returns once a week so she might not even deal with it then). They have consistently told us they are chasing it up with the landlord and in the last week we finally thought we had success when the landlords deductions report came through. He claimed £74 for small things like light bulbs, ok fine and £180 for cleaning?!?!?! Despite us using the company they suggested and choosing the most expensive package which they also recommend. We are of course contesting this. It has now been 41 days since we left the property and 28 days since the check out report was sent and despite several more emails and phone calls we still do not have our deposit back. I urge anyone even thinking about using these scam artist to steer well clear.

Very unprofessional letting agency. I was told my offer was accepted and was prepared to pay the deposit. I did not hear back in days, once I called them they stated that the property has been let to someone else without giving me any notice. They lied about trying to contact me and not being able to reach me. I would not recommend this agency to anyone. Save your time and money!!

We scheduled a viewing for a property but when we arrived no-one was there. After many (unanswered) calls to George and Ben we went to their offices and no one was there either! We called the number on the door and were informed the property we’d gone to view had had an offer accepted on it that morning. Wouldn’t have hurt to send an email to let us know it was no longer available. Poor customer service, would not recommend.
