This review is for Philip Bullman - the estate agent who recently sold me my first flat. I have to recommend Philip's service in the highest terms possible. From my first viewing, he handled my purchase with a phenomenal level of expertise and experience, as well as with urgency to move things along quickly. Philip stands out, however, for his immense patience and kindness. He went out of his way time and again to help me (and I really needed the help, as I barely knew what I was doing!). He visited the property with me to take curtain measurements. He dealt patiently and compassionately with a few hairy moments along the way. Maybe the best mark of Philip as a great person to deal with is the way he visited the flat days after completion once I'd actually moved in - to help me figure out how to work the boiler. I feel very indebted and thankful to him and hope to buy or sell a property again with him one day. His great integrity overturns the unfair, negative and prevalent general stereotype of estate agents.

Thereafter, unlike most estate agents, he took a very active role in the sale process, ensuring that all parties kept up a level of urgency and did not let matters rest. Rory in the lettings team at the Balham branch went above and beyond to help secure our new home. In our lengthy property search, Rory was the only agent who actually listened to our list of requirements and priorities and used them to source only appropriate available properties. This was quite refreshing as most other agencies we were signed to would suggest properties which were miles from our target location or ridiculously over our budget. The entire tenancy process has been efficient and stress free - thanks so much Rory and the Atkinson McLeod team!

Found me a great apartment very quickly. In particular Vaness Edet helped to negotiate getting some of the funiture removed and and cosmetic updates to the property ahead of move in. Erin McDonagh was brilliant at keeping me informed on the progress of my application, sorting out contracts, etc. And keeping me calm ahead of the move. Ideally I won't be moving again anytime soon, but will head back to AtkinsonMcLeod if I do 😀

DISGUSTING! Atkinson Mcleod have been harassing me since 2008 when I posted an enquiry for a lettings agent on Right Move. 11 YEARS!!! I have contacted all of the offices via email and telephone. I have contacted all of the managers. I have contacted their head office and still the harassment persists because they have their heads so far up their own *rses that they don't care about customers. Now I've been forced to report them to nada and the Property Ombudsman. AM, you're a bunch of useless, egotistical cowboys.

Words can not describe just how bad the service is from not just Atkinson McLeod but also the landlord they used in our case. Me and my ex partner rented a place via them sharing a house with another tenant. After living their for around 8 months my partner and I split and obviously needed to move out. The housemate also decided to leave and move back to Poland. We never missed any payments and kept the place in exceptional condition. We paid to break the contract which cost an extortionate amount, but as stated due to circumstanced we paid anyway. They found new tenants immediately who moved in immediately after we left on the 28th February 2019. We paid to have the place deep cleaned by a company they recommended at a cost of £395. The clean was completed and the company sent pictures to show it was of a high standard. A check out report was sent on the 13th March which we responded to straight away to point out a few discrepancies (the report listed the sofas as not seen, we did not take them and they were in the cleaning pictures after we left). We did not hear anything back for almost 3 weeks, literally nothing despite several emails. We called them and was informed that the person dealing with out property had been on holiday for two weeks but was back in tomorrow. Apparently if someone goes away nobody covers their emails or work or even informs you (they also told us on the phone that despite the fact she was back tomorrow they only deal with deposit returns once a week so she might not even deal with it then). They have consistently told us they are chasing it up with the landlord and in the last week we finally thought we had success when the landlords deductions report came through. He claimed £74 for small things like light bulbs, ok fine and £180 for cleaning?!?!?! Despite us using the company they suggested and choosing the most expensive package which they also recommend. We are of course contesting this. It has now been 41 days since we left the property and 28 days since the check out report was sent and despite several more emails and phone calls we still do not have our deposit back. I urge anyone even thinking about using these scam artist to steer well clear.

I signed up for property alerts while we were searching earlier this year. I have continued to receive these alerts, along with generic chaser emails from staff wanting to discuss my property search (which ended in March). Since March I have, on several occasions, requested to be unsubscribed from their mailing list but I continue to receive these emails. If this branch of Atkinson McLeod is this lazy about simple compliance with GDPR and correctly storing data, it makes me wonder how much care they put into the rest of their work. Glad I’ll never know!

Very unprofessional letting agency. I was told my offer was accepted and was prepared to pay the deposit. I did not hear back in days, once I called them they stated that the property has been let to someone else without giving me any notice. They lied about trying to contact me and not being able to reach me. I would not recommend this agency to anyone. Save your time and money!!
