GooglePossibly the worst estate agency I have worked with, I was looking for a property to rent and they advertised a 1 bedroom flat, I viewed the property and explained that I was ready to move in asap, George confirmed that the property was available and we went ahead and I paid the holding deposit and went through all the checks and referencing. I was told less than 48hrs before I was meant to move that the flat had failed the ECIP tests and it was taken off the market, I had already secured removal men and handed my notice in for the current property I was renting. This left me with no where to move to and no where to stay, having to still pay the removal men, pay for storage units and hotels the agency took no responsibility for this situation, showed no empathy nor offered to help with anything and left me with over £2,000 of expenses.
Wouldn't ever work with them again or recommend.

GoogleI spoke to Ricky in sales regarding information I required on a few independent valuations I was conducting in Balham and Tooting, his information was extremely helpful and detailed giving me a great idea of an area I was otherwise unfamiliar with.

FacebookBE CAREFUL WITH THIS AGENCY! They're liars!!! Cannot be trusted! They don't care about anything what you said! There is one agent called Amanda who lied in my face and she didn't care what I told her! I don't reccomend anyone this agency!

GoogleI walked in to Atkinson Mcleod in balham and was met with a warm reception from Vanessa.
My requirements were very long but Vanessa was patient and showed me around 2 properties. I will definitely be using Atkinson Mcleod again.

GoogleBig thanks to the wonderful Maria Dracea at Atkinson McLeod who helped our group find and sign for a great property in Balham. Far better house than any others we'd seen, and Maria was very helpful throughout the process.

GoogleDealing with Adrian who is the ‘renewals manager’ (although not entirely sure what he does apart from send unprofessional and incorrect information over email). We have experienced some of the worst customer service we have ever experienced. He is rude , unprofessional, unhelpful and unapologetic . Errors with our contract going back and fourth and we were made to feel like we were in the wrong , to the point of feeling threatened and no one has apologised to us . I will never deal with this estate agent again . AVOID

GoogleAn agent at the balham office treated my mother, who is in her 70s, in a very distressing way during an phone call after she politely informed him she had decided not to use their services. After telling this man that she felt bullied by the way he was talking to her, he continued his tirade. I contacted Dan McLeod to raise a complaint but he was never available, I left voicemails and these were ignored. Pretty shameful frankly.

GoogleAvoid, avoid, avoid. The property management office for this agency is completely useless. You have to repeatedly chase them for a response or to get any repairs done. They lied to me about how an issue would be resolved, and once suggested a course of action that was not legally possible. Trying to get a timely inventory checkout and our deposit back required several emails and calls, most of which yielded no response. Absolute nightmare to deal with. I would avoid letting a property managed by Atkinson McLeod at all costs. The lettings staff was better, at least during our initial interactions ie booking viewing appointment and making an offer. However, when I first viewed the flat they told me it included a stand-alone dryer (which was memorable because it’s unusual) - turns out that was owned by the previous tenant and when I complained about the flat being misrepresented, the agent lied about showcasing the dryer in the viewing. Overall terrible experience and will never let or buy a property that is being managed or marketed by the company.

FacebookHad a terrible experience with this estate agent just over a year ago. I can only reiterate the other reviews made below in regards to their lack of communication, completely apathetic attitude and extortionate fees. They broke clauses in our contract several times to the extent that all tenants involved decided to move out of the property early due to the amount of stress caused. I would highly recommend submitting a complaint to The Property Ombudsman if anyone has had trouble, not only to perhaps be compensated but also to show that agencies cannot continue to operate like this.

FacebookThe slogan of this agency is «build on trust and transparency ». Beware, as not the case at all. After a sale is made, good luck trying to reach them afterwards. Landlords beware as Atkinson McLeod charge “renewal fees” for doing no work at all, so make sure they clearly detail in the contract what charges are applicable against which services. Terrible experience. Have now found estate agents that do not apply such a fee and are actually fair and transparent. Will not use again and do not recommend.

FacebookIn many cases members of staff at Atkinson McLeod know significantly less than the tenant - in regards to letting rights and contract law. As soon as you've paid their large fees and signed their contract you're merely worth their time and acknowledgment. You'd be extremely lucky to even get a call back, let alone be rewarded with a solution. I warn prospective and potential customers of AM to steer a sharp left turn away from this company for a multitude of reasons, doubting I have the character count to explain them all properly.

FacebookDear Tenants, it has nw been 5weeks we left the property. The check out report confirmed no deductions were needed and the landlord agreed. The agency has still not given back our deposit. They went over the 3weeks deadline (as per contract) by two weeks already and do not seem in any rush to give back our money! I’m going to skip the poor service we received from this company since we paid to move in but this experience should tell you what kind of agency you’re about to deal with. Save yourself some frustration/anger by not using them.

GoogleAtkinson Mcleod maintenance team are utterly useless. We have contacted them numerous times via phone, email and the online complaints portal about a broken fence, a complete lack of heating during winter, a broken shower and fridge. This has been going on for over a month and not only have they failed to fix anything, they have repeatedly ignored our requests to fix different issues AND LIED to us. Different housemates have been told completely contradicting stories about why it's taken so long for things to be fixed. I would NOT recommend letting from this company.

GoogleReally poor Estate Agency company here. Have been utterly useless in helping me and my friends search for a new property to rent.
The estate agent dealing with me forgets when they have spoken to me. I have had to repeat what we are looking for three times now and have to remind them on a daily basis I am still looking for a property. It is becoming annoying now. Many properties marketed by them are advertised on search websites (zoopla, right move, etc), for them to always have already been let in a ploy you sign up with them... which I did.
However even though more and more properties come onto the search websites after they have been let, I still have had no pre-warning about new properties coming to the market in months!
They are simply a joke.
