GoogleMy experience with Ashtons has made it apparent that if you are a first time renter or not fully aware of your rights then they will likely try to pull the wool over your eyes, so be careful and make sure to question anything you aren’t sure of. I personally dealt with Alf and Kirsty, both work in lettings and do not seem to have much knowledge or awareness of how to act professionally. I wouldn’t recommend Ashtons in Welwyn to anybody looking to rent or purchase a property. The staff in this branch were unprofessional and uninformed during every interaction I had with them, which unfortunately lasted over the course of a number of months. When the current 12 month rental contract expired it took Ashtons over 5 weeks to send a renewal contract; by the time this had arrived the landlord had decided to sell and wanted to provide an eviction notice. Ashtons broke protocol when providing the eviction notice and didn’t attempt to contact or explain the situation beforehand; they then admitted their staff had acted against their professional guidelines - this seemed to be a regular occurrence. Ashtons staff then advised the landlord to request deposit deductions for repairs that they had informed the tenant would not be needed, and when they were advised that the TDS would unlikely side with the landlord (I spoke with TDS directly ) they conveniently changed their opinion and advised the landlord not to request these deductions. They continuously avoided questions regarding whether or not they were acting in the best interests of both parties, and at one point Kirsty the lettings manager actively declined to answer. I requested a face-to-face in the Welwyn branch and was told it would be a 2 week wait before I could speak to somebody in person. I won’t say that you shouldn’t use Ashtons in Welwyn Garden City, but I will say that you might want to speak to other estate agents first.

GoogleNick at Ashton's in Redbourn helped with the sale of my fathers house, and also helped him to find somewhere. He has helped my dad constantly throughout the process, always going the extra mile. After my father fell ill, the whole process could of been extremely difficult if it wasn't for Nick's help. Definitely recommend Ashtons!

GoogleWhen deciding to sell my property Ashtons Redbourn came across as very professional. I was not disappointed as Nick sold my old home within days of it going to market. Between Nick and Tracie they kept me informed at every stage, offered sound advice and I couldn’t have wished for a better outcome. They were so professional, never pushy, but made the process of selling my home straightforward and simple. I wouldn’t hesitate to use them again. A really top level service!

GoogleCan''t fault them at all. Great service, great people and well worth the fee. Sold within in a week and the followup/ after sales were excellent. Thanks to Liam, Jayne and an extra special mention to Louise who made a potentially stressful experience much less so. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to anyone and have done so.

GoogleWe sold our property with Ashtons this year and we were really impressed with all the team... we met with quite a few estate agents before deciding who to choose and Ashtons were by far the best, Liam was really personable and obviously cares about all the properties on their books We dealt with Liam and Louise and can honestly say, they are a credit to Ashtons, Liam ensured the team had full knowledge of our property before any viewings took place (you’d be surprised how many estate agents don’t do this!!) Louise was extremely thorough in making sure solicitors were moving things along I would recommend them to anyone selling in the area

GoogleProperty we tried to acquire was not legally prepared to be purchased which took us plenty of time and effort, luckily St Albans has good products and we have found a good one already. Overall good professionals however a state agent named Steve Preston was not fit at all in his job.
