We are both very happy with our new home.I am very pleased to say we have friendly neighbours, and I appreciate the kindness of our manager, Alyson, and her professional and friendly approach.Felwater Court is well maintained, our apartment is easy to keep warm, lots of amenities within walking distance, lovely neighbours, what more could you ask for?

The Anchor Manor House Roundhay is a lovey place to behold. The home itself is beautifully maintained, with comfortable living spaces and a variety of activities to keep residents engaged. The meals are always delicious and nutritious, and the overall environment is clean and well-organized.

We were given a month's notice to move from one property to the next, only to find the property had not been cleaned. We were offered £150 towards decorating which cost us over £600. We also found the plaster fell off one of the walls but as a non emergency repair would have taken anywhere up to a month. We found a problem with the lights but because of the time to get it looked we got an electrician in at our own cost. He found the wires had burnt and fixed the problem. We then had to get permission to have our own lights put up which is a process we could have done without. The walls still have not been sorted except for the repair I done myself. The toilet blocked and also the sinks and shower, we eventually got a plumber out who does not know if he has rectified the problem as he believes it is an outside blockage. We firstly rented a property from Hanover but since the take over by Anchor the quality has gone downhill but not the rent or service charge.

The previous tenant, deceased, had a family who did not leave the property as they should have. All windows were covered in leaded strips, which I doubt had permission. After waiting 3 weeks for it to be removed I started the job myself! Same waiting time for a mirror to be installed in the bathroom. The family removed a fake fireplace and hearth, leaving a gap in the floor not covered by existing flooring. A horrendous pendant light fitting is still awaiting removal due to asbestos, so I am told. My opinion is, Anchor should have done better. The manager has done as much as possible, having made numerous phone calls on our behalf.

I find their is plenty of information about whom to contact if it’s an emergency or complaint around the building also on news letter in which gets posted throu the doors manager is polite and very approachable and keeps every one up to date on events etc

We got a phone call out of the blue to see if we would like to come and view the property. We did this and we accepted. It was all arranged and we moved in within a few weeks. This has given us the security we needed.
