Simply, the best letting Agency I have had in 20 years of renting in the UK.I rented from Ad Hoc over a decade ago and I was helped by Martin. The agency keeps with the same great values up until today.On this occasion, I had the pleasure of being guided by Lauren, what a kind, friendly, informative and genuinely helpful lady. You can feel the sincere approach. Lauren kept me informed throughout the process of applying and referencing. Lauren, Martin and the rest of the team are prompt to support and resolve if we have questions about the house and they try their best to resolve any issue as soon as possible. I am very grateful for your kindness and support. One feels welcomed, not many Agents make you feel like that these days.

Friendly staff!

I just got the keys to my new place with Ad Hoc and am looking forward to my time in this property! Lauren and Martin have been very friendly from the beginning, and have made me feel comfortable. A couple of times it took a little longer than I would have liked to get hold of someone, given that finding housing is a bit stressful, but have always managed to get in touch eventually and once I have, I’ve been reassured! I have been provided with several ways of getting hold of Ad Hoc or other services should anything happen or I have any questions, so I am hopeful that my experience here will be good. Thank you Lauren and Martin for making my check in experience as simple yet thorough as possible and keeping me reassured at every point :)

I went with ad hoc for 9 months and my partner used them twice and had very similar experiences, in my opinion I would strongly advice against using ad hoc for the following reasons;-the property manager changed the locks before the tenancy end date, meaning I could no longer do final cleaning. They charged me from my deposit for all the locks changing before the tenancy end date, removing the option for me to return my keys-they charged a cleaning fee for the whole house and not just the room-they have a hands-off approach to resolving conflicts between housemates, preferring to not act in situations of racial and sexual discrimination.-people enter your room unannounced for inspections, and linger-it used to be much cheaper but now barely saves you anything (>£100) in exchange for having no rights as a tenantI would strongly advice prospecting tenants to go through a traditional letting agancy and avoid the headache and threats caused by ad hoc.

I can't express enough how grateful I am to Adhoc. I was facing delays with my referencing, and the thought of not getting my keys in time was incredibly stressful. However, thanks to the dedication and hard work of the agency especially Lauren from the Leeds office, for their exceptional service.She stayed with me on the phone and WhatsApp all day, providing updates at every stage. Even though it was a busy Thursday, she worked tirelessly and went above and beyond to ensure everything was completed, right up until 15 minutes before the office closed. Her enthusiasm and commitment were evident, she was genuinely happier than I was when everything finally got sorted!Because of her efforts, now I am able to get my keys on Friday, just in time to start my new job on Tuesday after the public holiday. Bad communications from start to finish. I spoke to Stacey through email as nobody ever picked up the phone. I enquired through Rightmove and got an email to say there was a room available and to confirm a few things. I confirmed I was eligable and was asked what property I was enquiring about (this would be a reoccuring theme). I was asked again if i was interested in the property which of course I was. She then let me know viewings would be happening on the Thursday the 22nd but when I recieved the viewing confirmation email it was for a different property. I brought this up and WAS ASKED AGAIN WHICH PROPERTY I WAS ENQUIRING ABOUT, a new confirmation was made but I failed to notice the date had also changed from the thursday to the wednesday. it was also falsely confirmed by Stacey to be the thursday in a follow up confirmation email to say I look forward to seeing her then. the property is now off the market and i missed the viewing.

My experience with AdHoc Properties

Trina was the one helping me, and from the first day that i interacted with her, she was lovely, whatever she promises you, you get, with smile.I will recommend that before you let out the units, you check them thoroughly to ensure they are ready to be let. The toilet of the room i occupied was disgustingly filthy, i am yet to tell Trina about it, as well as the bathroom nearer to my room, but other than that the service was good. Thank you

I had to leave a wonderful property in Peterborough. I was working in London paying rent in Peterborough and a room in London. I just couldn't afford both. I applied to Ad Hoc. I was constantly kept in touch. Charlie Mcmonagle was the business he was transparent he didn't raise my hopes he was frank and truthful. I wasn't sure after seeing the property I would get it. It was close to my work but there were other people interested. Charlie gave me first refusal as I applied quickly. I accepted but still had no idea it would work out. Nothing was too much trouble he went over things so I was in no doubt and kept me informed. I liked his directness and no nonsense which enables you to be absolutely clear about what you are doing. It went through and now I can't wait. Thank you non nonsense Charlie magic !
