GoogleWe are really impressed with the service we received from Ashtons Estate Agents, and we can't recommend them enough. They go out of there way to help you and can't do enough for you. It was the coldest day on record and the boiler stopped working. It was on a Sunday, but we received someone out to mend it within the hour. We were very impressed, especially as it was thick with snow. It is a refreshing change to deal with a professional Company where all the staff give an outstanding, professional and caring service. After the last letting agent, it was great to have a letting agent who really looks after their tenants. GoogleI moved to Ashton's after having an unsuccessful few months with another agent. I was very impressed with the honest and impartial feedback from the Ashton's team with regards to how to improve the listing and the best way to proceed. More importantly, I was confident that every time they arranged a viewing it was for a serious potential buyer as opposed to a viewing purely for it's own sake. Overall, I'm very pleased with the service Ashton's provided and would happily recommend them.

GoogleWe have recently sold our small 3 bedroom house in central York through Ashtons. Our agent was Jess and we were really impressed from start to finish. We got an honest valuation, and had weekly updates throughout the process. We achieved asking price in the end and were delighted with the service provided. Jess worked really hard to chase solicitors etc to finally exchange which we really appreciated. Would highly recommend! Thanks Ashtons

GoogleI purchased a property through Ashtons in December 2022. It has been an extremely unsatisfactory process and I will explain why: A Rightmove listing is a legal document and once it is edited to Sold - STC, the listing cannot be edited unless the new owner requests this on completion. I saved the link and documented information as this was especially important to be, as the purchaser of a brand new property. The Rightmove listing included four untruthful statements, which included information about the wrong Code of Conduct in which the property is covered under warranty; it was published for six months before changing to Sold - STC. This is extremely serious as it misled me to believe the property had protections that it simply does not have; it is in breach of the Consumer Protection from Unfair Trading Regulation 2008, due to negligent misrepresentation. Upon contacting Ashtons they have put this down to "clerical error" and refuse to aid me in resolving a number of issues that I am facing due to their untruths. Further to this, the communications are intimidatory and not in keeping with the frameworks that protect consumers when purchasing properties.

Having previously attempted to sell my house with Coalters, I decided to take some time out and then re-launch with Ashtons, just 6 weeks ago. Everything from viewings, the communication, to feedback, to photographs and now to progression has been fantastic. I genuinely feel that they are working very hard for us!
