GoogleExcellent service right through our recent purchase. All the staff were very friendly and responsive. Julie progressed everything very professionally and we would definitely recommend Ashtons. They even surprised us with a really lovely gift when we collected the keys.

GoogleSarah Stabler assisted us to secure the purchase of our home earlier this year. When Sarah became aware that we were looking to move from Australia to the UK, she started searching for suitable properties for us. Sarah referred us to Jack Griffin in relation to our plans. Behind the scenes and in very short order, Sarah and Jack also assisted us with extensive local knowledge, market research and solicitor referrals. Without their involvement and coaching, in all likelihood we would not have had the chance to identify or purchase the house (particularly as it never went on the advertised market). Our house sale and completion took 9 months in total - one house sale/purchase falling through (no fault of Ashtons) and a new, successful sale/purchase taking its place. Ashtons however actively supported us throughout the entire period. From start to finish we found them incredibly professional, supportive and engaged in our house sale. Special call outs to Charlotte for getting the price right, Clair in securing both sales, and lastly but far from least, Hannah for her perseverance with a very extended chain. GoogleWe was looking for an investment property in York and specifically for the holiday/short term let market. After searching the internet and contacting a number of other agents we finally has the pleasure of specking with Jack Griffin at Ashtons. Jack understood our requirements and demonstrated a good understanding of this specific market for the York area and recommended a number of properties to view. He was accommodating for viewing times and presented himself in a very professional manor, following a viewing we have put an offer in on a property and Jack has helped with sourcing solicitors and management companies moving forward. Great customer service and would highly recommend.

GoogleThoroughly unimpressed with this service. I am a young buyer and was very ill treated and not taken very seriously. I was treated like a time waster and clearly not interested in making a sale; especially as the man who spoke to us was swearing over the table and giving us houses that were far too out of our requirements. If I buy another house I will definitely not be using their service.

GoogleI don’t often write reviews but I’m appalled by the service we have experienced from Ashtons Estate Agents. After a cycle of canceled and rearranged appointments, we booked time off work and traveled to York for the apartment viewing. Whilst standing outside the property in the rain, we received a text message to say they had to cancel again. When we rang them they were extremely rude. Absolutely disgusting.

The whole process from start to finish was virtually stress-free, feedback was given after every viewing, and all of the viewings were conducted by their staff, which meant I just got to sit back and relax! GoogleI bought my first house through Ashtons and was very impressed with their service. I was shown round twice by Robyn who was really friendly and extremely helpful with advice especially with my mortgage! Also a lady called Claire saw the whole process through and was always there to answer any questions I had (which was very often!) very impressive and would definitely sell through them in the future
