GoogleWe'd like to thank Craig for being the perfect Estate Agent for us. Over the course of two days he showed us around almost 10 properties, never losing patience with our questions, while showing great insight and market knowledge. GoogleAmber Bashford is my selling agent for my apartment in York. In an extremely competitive market, Amber was hugely impressive in analysing the data and advising how best to market my property for selling. GoogleWe recently sold my dads house through Ashtons. Alex was our main contact and he was excellent. He kept us informed at every stage and was always on hand to answer any questions we had. I did speak to other members of staff for arranging viewings etc and they were all lovely and helpful too. I would definitely recommend Ashtons.

GoogleWe are really glad that we chose Ashtons for our house move. All the staff are incredibly welcoming and professional. We felt that they were fully supporting us right from the first contact until the completion. At times they were doing work that the solicitors should have been doing! in particular, Amber Bashforth worked through the whole transaction with us. She is a credit to herself and the company and is a delight to work with. I heartily recommend Ashtons without reservations.

GoogleHad the misfortune of dealing with Amber Bashforth, dismissive and discriminatory. The interaction with this estate agent lacked the neutrality, professionalism, and duty of care that one would expect in a transaction of this significance. Impossible to trust a transaction by this agent. In response to your reply: To clarify, my concern is not about the outcome of the purchase, which I fully understand is the seller’s decision. My issue relates solely to the manner in which the situation was communicated. During our interaction, I found the communication to be dismissive and not in line with the level of professionalism and impartiality I would expect. I also note that my concerns were not addressed in a substantive way, either in this response or through the formal complaint process. I have raised this matter formally and will be pursuing it through the appropriate channels.
We understand your disappointment in not securing the property. As previously explained, the decision rested solely with the owner and, in a competitive situation with multiple offers, it is inevitable that not all parties will be successful. However, any suggestion that Amber, or by implication the owner, acted in a discriminatory manner due to your location in America is entirely unfounded and inappropriate. GoogleAlex and Lillie at Ashtons were absolutely fantastic in helping us purchase our first home! From the day we put in our offer on the property, they kept us informed of each step of the way, which was invaluable as first time buyers who needed all the guidance we could get! They were quick to communicate anything we needed between ourselves and the sellers and checked in frequently to make sure things were all on track on our end. We were so thankful for their time and they were truly so friendly to us whenever we called or asked for advice. We were so grateful for the speedy turnaround - from us making our offer in the middle of November, to receiving the keys in the middle of February, it was all a blur but in the best way! We are so thankful too for the welcoming gift box provided by Ashtons - we thoroughly enjoyed our first cup of tea and some biscuits in our new house after collecting our keys!
