Absolutely no communication from this agency when it came to forwarding key documents. My solicitor has still not received the draft contract despite several follow-ups. I’ve had to chase constantly, and I’m the buyer, imagine how sellers must feel. If you're considering using them to handle your sale or purchase, think twice. You’ll be left doing all the legwork yourself.

Terrible customer service from a landlords point of view. Most of the staff there are great but the lettings manager Jeanette is someone that no one should ever have to deal with but unfortunately has to take over everything. Allowed the bond to be given back to tenants even though the house was left a mess. We were told that everything was left “perfect” but when we checked it was anything but. Unfortunately this was too late as bond was given back and Jeanette won’t help at all, not even offering a compromise. Unsure if a checkout was even done because every time I have asked, this question has been dodged. We have also had to chase up a missed gas payment of £180 and unpaid council tax on the property, so really not recommended if you would like an easy life.

This is the second time I have used B&D, for Let only service. Being a Private Landlord and living abroad, they have been my eyes and ears.Truly invaluable.They take out the stress and worry and I felt confident with them from the very beginning. The first time I dealt with B&D was with Jeanette 3 years ago and she talked me through things step by step and sorted out everything on my part and the Tenants.One thing she mentioned, was that she would vet prospective Tenants as though they would be living in her Home. That says it all and it was of great comfort to know.A great service from the whole team from start to finish and I would not hesitate torecommend B&D. from a Landlords point of view. They really do as they say.They are very professional, polite and helpful and have your back at all times and work to get the best for you.Recently the second time, I used their services again and dealt with Chris Lever. The Senior Lettings Advisor.Highly recommend this guy, who was professional and courteous and gave a friendly service at all times. Kept me informed and up to date with things, every step of the way, by way of e mails and calls etc. Comforting to know that Chris was there for me and providing a professional, friendly service with good and sensible advice, all the way through.Things don t always go to plan, for a Landlords turn around, but Chris ironed things out and was very professional and used his knowledge and experience, in making it run smoothly and was ready to offer help and advice at any time, through the whole process. After 18months we finally have the keys to our dream house. Bartrop has played a massive part in that process.
