Having recently purchased a property through Nicol and Co I have been pleased with many aspects of their service. For example, I received excellent assistance from Leanne in chasing all parties involved to help secure a prompt completion. My reservations are more to do with the transparency of the sale, for example I received no written details of my offers or the acceptance of a revised offer.
Overall I was left with a sense some parts of the business tried hard but unforuntately on this occasion something just spoilt the result each time. Nothing summed this up better than when I collected the key. I was given a lovely gift box, but upon opening it found it addressed to another family, a nice gesture but just not getting it quite right!
That said, I have only purchased one other property and service was better from Nicol and Co, hence the four stars. I'm not sure what that says, perhaps it may just be an industry standard..

Six months ago I found a house to rent that was marketed by nicol&co. I informed the letting department that I would like to rent the house however they just never called me back. Despite chasing the agent no response.
Six months later new search. Despite my better judgement I called this agent about one of their properties. I was told the same member of staff in lettings would call me back with info. My heart sank when I heard the staff members name. Guess what true to form no contact made!! How do they ever let a property I wonder!!

Nicol and Co are the agents I use to manage a property I rent out. Their main strength is their staff who have always been friendly, polite and very efficient. Was looking to buy a BTL property, Nicol had a house for sale which I was interested in. From the first phone to arrange a viewing they provided a warm & friendly service. They accommodated my requested at short notice. The person attending was on time, knowledgeable & courteous. An offer was made. All dealings with Nicol were good, not just a 1 off.
Communication to/from them to solicitors & to myself were excellent. They are a well oiled organisation. Main contact (Nathan) was always keen to help and ensured the process kept moving forward. until satisfactory conclusion.

FacebookAVOID AT ALL COSTS!!! These idiots are inconsiderate/unorganised and liers and are making my family including a 13 week old baby homeless. They have served a non fault eviction on tenants who have never had any complaints, paid all rent on time and kept the property in a better condition than it was handed to us in because we keep reporting faults which they are oblidged to carry out. They seem to find it acceptable for us to wait 10 months for our shower to be repaired and leave us without an oven for 1 month, just to name a few faults. Today it has become clear that our home is back on the market to let all because we are obiding by our agrement and reporting faults. I dont know how these people can sleep at night! They havnt even offered us any of their other properties to move in to. There words "we are not a housing association" ..err hello i know that we have 2 employeed incomes...we are not scroungers! ..bunch of T****
