In all fairness, Hat and Home has been overall good and I cannot deny that. Communicating certain hiccups and logistics about our move has been a little hazy, though. It required a lot of chasing by us which adds to the overall stress of moving. Certain areas where lettings agencies can be very unforgiving when you are moving out (ie keys handover, rubbish collection, repairs) were not treated the same way for us moving in. There was a lot of benefit of the doubt to the landlord and a bit of "don't worry about it" to us. Reassurances are good, but when they turn out not to be as reassuring they can become real concerns. It is easy to give 5 stars when it is a smooth sail, but like I said, happy... with a slight reservation.

Really happy with our experience with Hat & Home. They managed our sale well but also went above and beyond to understand what we were looking for and found us our dream home! The whole team were incredible (Lily, Lisa, Barnaby and Marney) but a few key highlights were: - Lily was really prepared when asked to value our property and we felt she understood the area the best! - Communication through a WhatsApp group chat which kept it informal and easy to stay updated. - Barnaby agreeing to do a final showing to our buyer on a Sunday to speed up the process and ensure exchange. I would like to give information about my viewing experiences with The Hat and Home. I had viewings for 2 flats. Firstly, I talked with Freya and she arranged viewings for me. Process was very smooth, she was very kind and helpful. Then I met with Annie during the viewings, she was super helpful. Stay away from these agents if…

Stay away from these agents if possible, if not, buyers beware! Especially if it is your first time buying a property - it is up to you to do your due diligence on every single aspect. The estate agents are working for 1) the sellers and 2) their profits/metrics. These two aspects drove a horrific experience for me. I was initially looking forward to working with Lisa at the Hat & Home branch in Bracknell because I read such great reviews. This was not the case - her behaviour throughout the purchase was appalling at best. She constantly argued with me, gaslighted me, and provided incorrect information on the sale progression.

When you live 4 hrs away from your rental property, you really do need to have a letting agent that you can trust to manage your property and tenants with care. Sadly this has not been the case with a previous agent which has resulted in an ongoing deposit dispute and the need for a complete refurbishment of the property well ahead of expected. I was so pleased to find Hat and Home. Right from the start of the refurbishment, Annie and her team regularly followed the progress, offering good advice, and really seemed invested in the property and a good outcome. The property was finished and advertised less than 2 weeks ago, tenants were found almost immediately and the new tenancy starts today. I couldn’t be happier, and I hope the tenants will be too! Hat and Home fees were very transparent, and reasonable - no hidden extras and no annual deposit charges. As a former letting agent myself, I know the value in being contactable and responsive, and the ladies at Hat and Home not only fulfilled this criteria, but went above and beyond to ensure that everything happened in a timely fashion (thank you Annie & Sam). Of course, tenanting the property is only the start, but if the management is as efficient and professional as what I’ve experienced so far, then Hat and Home are a rare gem indeed.

We spent weeks and weeks searching for estate agents that will not only make bold promises but will actually deliver an excellent service - Hat and Home did not disappoint, they not only sold our home but helped to secure us another one. Why we would recommend them: 1. We especially appreciated that there was one agent (Dan) looking after the sale of our flat and he really took time to learn about all advantages of it. This was important for us as we are really annoyed by agents that will show you the house but have no clue about it. We managed to sell our flat in 2 weeks! 2. Luke was looking after the purchase of the new house and he proactively sent us updates every week, so we knew exactly what is happening at any point in time. We did not have to chase him, anything new or important, he gave us a call straight away. 3. Jack was another lovely member of the team who kindly opened the house to us on 3 occasions, so we could get contractors inside who then gave us a quote for different things that needed fixing on the house. 4. Throughout the sale and purchase of our home, everyone was very professional, approachable, knowledge, proactive, honestly the best service we have received in years!!! 5. We got many useful recommendations for anelectrician, solicitor, plumber etc. And all people that were recommended by Hat and Home were really decent, a good price and quality. Overall, we had an amazing experience and will be doing any future property transactions only through Hat and Home. They are excellent in what they do as they really took time and effort to make the journey to our dream home as smooth and painless as possible! Thank you for that 🙂

This was our first time selling a house and we couldn’t have asked for a better experience with Hat and Home. Daniel has been extremely professional, knowledgable, helpful and organised throughout the process. We initially spoke to a few different estate agents but Daniel stood out as he had clearly gone the extra mile with his research to back up the asking price he suggested. From there Daniel guided us through the process and made plenty of very helpful suggestions along the way when it came to getting the house ready for the photos and then the viewings. It is a sellers market at the moment but even so I was very impressed with Daniel selling our home within a matter of days and above asking price. Throughout the few months from initial contact to selling the house I never had one issue getting hold of Daniel. He was always there to answer our questions which really puts your mind at rest when it comes to these big transactions, especially when it’s your first time. 100% would recommend Hat and Home to anyone.

We were on a tight timeframe due to my mortgage expiring and we were able to complete a leasehold purchase in just 6 weeks. We registered our interest in a property in Crowthorne with Hat & Home and received a call back from Dan straight away. He took the time to really understand what we wanted from our next move, which was our forever home. Dan was able to find a range of the right type of properties for us to view and by using his extensive network, we have finally found our forever home, which we complete on in a few weeks. Dan is a true professional. His knowledge of the local area is excellent and he went the extra mile to watch our 3 and 5 year old, so my husband and I had the time to really look round the properties. Hat and Home say they want to make moving a fantastic experience and if there is one thing that you take from this review it’s the fact that they keep to their word.
