Above and beyond

We got to know Nony and the Charters team in Winchester as part of our 15 month quest to find our 'forever home' in Twyford. Nony is incredibly knowledgeable about the area and local market and works tierlessly for clients and purchasers alike. She really took the time to understand what we were looking for and even though we were selling our property through another agent Nony gave us great advice about the sale of our house. This meant that when Nony called us to give us first viewing on what she was confident would be the perfect house for us we were in a position to proceed immediately.

Professional and likeable lady

Victoria is professional, listens to your requirements and is very good at identifying appropriate properties. She accepts feedback well on properties and appears to have a genuine interest in her job. She worked hard to get me a viewing on a property when her diary was already full, which we really appreciated. Excellent communication from the first telephone enquiry

Victoria was so professional and very friendly. She had all the information I needed for the property I was viewing and was very accommodating when I wanted to view the property again and then a third time which resulted in putting in an offer! Victoria has a lovely sincerity about her and I know that she is a great asset where ever she works as she just naturally wants to help. Engaging, Inspiring and Passionate. Adel was a pleasure to meet.

After having my work moved to Hursley I was interested in looking for a property to rent. Within less than 1 hour of myself submitting a viewing request to a Charters property I received a call from Adel who not only quickly arranged my viewing for a time that suited me, but was also very knowledgeable on other properties in the local areas that could interest me. Highly professional and the best agent we have dealt with

Having finally become able to buy our first home we began searching in July 2017 and thankfully we contacted Victoria who has been fantastic from start to finish. Having dealt with other agents, from other companies, we can confirm that Victoria has far exceeded anyone else we have dealt with, in terms of her professionalism, dedication and knowledge of the market. Victoria's most reassuring quality is that she really listened to what we wanted and tailored her services to fulfil our criteria. To prove this we recently had an offer accepted on a property that wasn't even listed on the internet, it came onto the market and she contacted us immediately. This further demonstrated that with Victoria you are not just commission, or a sales target you are actually a valued customer and throughout the whole process she has gone above and beyond, time after time to try and secure us our first home. We cannot recommend Victoria enough, she is a lovely individual who (after dealing with other agents) is definitely a dying breed of estate agents. Victoria is lovely, she is very friendly and we have established a great rapport with her through the house buying process. My flat was marketed at a difficult period in the market and Adel's optimism and infectious enthusiasm kept my spirits up during my rental void. She always gave me an in depth description of potential tenants which was a great help to me as I live in the flat below the flat that I let out. She was always punctual, polite, professional and engaged extremely well with potential tenants. I was informed of all viewing arrangements and was given feedback in a timely fashion. Nothing demonstrates the abilities of Charters, and Nony in particular, than to highlight that our house was sold in just one week. Sheer hard work separates Charters from the competition

As property developers we work with many different agents around the South to sell houses for us. At the £1m plus mark we have worked with the big 5 national/international agents regularly, but have rarely come across a more dedicated team than those at Charters and in particular Nony Kerr-Smiley. I say dedicated in the sense of total focus on finding not just a buyer for our recent property, but the right buyer - the only way that can be done is through pure graft, putting in the hours (very often after-hours and Sundays in Nony's case) on the phone and viewing the property with potential buyers. This has not often been our experience with other agents who can very often rely on their name/reputation and website to generate viewings and who so often lack the skill demonstrated by the Charters team of listening to the buyer's needs and thus getting the right person to the property and then having the depth of knowledge of the house and the local market and competition to be able to deal with questions or indeed concerns. Nony has been outstanding in this regard, but there is strength in depth at Charters and I would be confident that any member of the team would be able to show the same levels of skill, knowledge and the necessary determination to secure a buyer for any future property that we bring to market in their increasing large sphere of influence in the South and South East. From beginning to successful end I've found Charters to be have delivered wonderful service at every stage. They were swift to value my property. The price was higher than I expected but they achieved it so as you can imagine I'm highly delighted. Viewings were efficiently organised. With our dream house on the Isle of Wight in mind, we turned to Charters for their advice and marketing skills, well recognised in Winchester, to help us achieve our sale. Oliver did an excellent job valuing our property for sale realistically and convincingly talking my husband through to a price we could work with in order to achieve a swift but well priced sale. Charters have so far lived up to their reputation, swinging into action professionally to produce fabulous photos, accurate floor plans and a glossy brochure. We almost asked ourselves why we were moving. Nony has been amazing, quickly sending us a relevant selection of prospective purchasers and then negotiating with the family who's offer we have accepted. Her telephone manner is great, so cheerful whatever the time of day or information she's imparting. My initial confidence in instructing Charters has not been misplaced as they have achieved all I set to do with the sale of my house in Winchester. I come across a lot of property transactions as a Chartered Surveyor, who carry out mortgage valuations for a number of lenders; so when it came to selling my own house, I knew who would best serve me. Jo Goddard has been an excellent progress chaser in what has been a difficult and protracted transaction mainly due to the picky-ness of the Solicitors involved in this chain of transactions. The real value of using Charters is the personal service, as provided by both Jo and Noni; is the follow-up and progress chasing once a buyer has made an offer to purchase.
