GoogleI sold my house through Breakey a few months ago and now my partner is selling his with them too. What stood out for us is the attention to detail in the photos which were done for both houses by Lisa. She spent ages getting everything right and to show the house in the best light. She is very knowledgeable and helpful. We are very happy with the service from Breakey so far!

GoogleKatie was the lady who showed us around a bungalow at the weekend, what a great experience, this lady had the answer to all my questions explaining everything in detail absolutely the best I have seen this weekend, we have looked a 6 House's the other 5 agent's where useless " not my area, I need to check in the office,I only show you around and I don't live here" are what other estate agents people said all weekend to us , not good. I think this feels more like a review about Katie and it is she was fantastic

GoogleAmazing service from start to finish. Abby took over the contract early on as the previous agent left the company. Abby was fantastic at keeping me updated throughout the sale with viewers, feedback, returning calls, she is always very polite and professional in her role always happy on the phone and made a very stressful experience a lot easier. Can only say a massive thank you to Abby in particular but all the staff concerned you have a fantastic team and if I was (but I’m not) gonna move again I would definitely use you guys. Thanks again .

Lisa was very friendly, knowledgeable and professional, she talked me through the process beforehand and once the photographs were taken, Lisa showed me the photos of each room and to make sure that I was happy. GoogleThe sales person quoted their fee as 0.75% but never mentioned VAT. I think this is totally unacceptable as I'm a consumer and not a commercial client. I also found the service like pulling teeth - having to chase follow ups and information. When I complained (which did take me a few months as it was a busy time moving between storage and houses) they tried to make me feel like I was blackmailing them because I complained after the sale and we got asking price. I had evidence of a conversation with our solicitor about the VAT and they said Breakey should have told us about the VAT but we didn't want to hold things up we stupidly paid it and complained later. I would never lie in a complaint, I was just fuming about the VAT and the level of service was terrible compared to when we used them 6 years earlier. Not sure what happened in those 6 years as they were great the first time we used them. The photos weren't the best either. One photo made the room looked all squashed and I had to retake the outside ones. Luckily our house sold itself within a week so it wasn't too painful having to constantly chase for viewers opinions.

We suspect therefore that the negative review is based on our refusal to cancel the VAT element (which we don’t keep incidentally, it goes to the government). Regarding your query as to what has changed in six years? We don’t think anything has, certainly not negatively, as we still charge VAT as we did six years ago and we still display our fee fully inclusive of VAT in the first paragraph of the document that you must sign for us to be market your property. The first paragraph states VAT five times in a little over two lines and we sent this document to you twice and also advised that you had a right to cancel within fourteen days of signing. We can’t publish this document on an open forum without your permission, (we note that you have published our valuer’s handwritten notes to reinforce your objection to VAT being payable) but we don’t know what else we could have done other than to refund you monies to avoid a negative review, and we simply won’t do that.

However, Millie acted on this for me efficiently and got everything sorted for me. Thank you Millie, you have been an amazing help, really appreciate it!

GoogleRecently bought our first house through Breakey & Co and i can't fault it at all, from start to finish any questions we had was answered straight away or same day depending on the query, Ella was dealing with our purchase and she was incredible, everything we needed or asked she dealt with promptly and quickly especially when solicitors was taking their time! Very friendly and always understood our point of view when chasing, Highly recommended x

GoogleI would definitely recommend Breakey & Co . Sold my house in less than 3 days. They have been responsive and supportive . Carrie Rudd and Katie helped me a lot. What I would recommend is avoid their recommended solicitors which is KJD. They made a lot of problems for me and not even bothered to inform me or to apologise Had to stay in hotel for 7 days because they failed to complete.

The whole team are professional and enthusiastic and keep in contact throughout the whole process.
