I work full time in recruitment; Im a single guy, and finding a home in the rental market has been challenging. It is like all the 1-bedroom flats go to single parents, excluding us single people. Not judging, but is it fair? Anyway, I have given a shoutout to Lease for Life, they are amazing at what they do. Landlords, please think about renting to us single guys; we make great tenants too. Just ask the team at Lease for Life
Thank you, Ashley; it is true that single tenants can struggle to secure housing more than families, and we highlighted this on our insta a few weeks ago regarding the irrefutable corrolation between men, homelessness, and mental health issues. It can be demoralising to fight to be accepted for a home constantly. So much more needs to be done to resolve this area of housing. We really do appreciate your review and your support 😊

As a working family with small children, it was such a relief to find a company that wanted to help us with our housing situation and did so without being motivated by monetary gain. Staff took time out to talk to us and explain everything is so much detail and helped us with contacts and information. They know their stuff and are above all kind and considerate. We really appreciated working with the team at Lease For Life.

I don't know if anyone who has NOT faced homelessness can understand how soul-destroying it is. My story is no different to many other mothers, who have had their lives turned upside-down after a relationship break up, but this does not make us bad tenants! I am a self-employed Graphic Designer; a normal everyday person, but I have been treated like an undesirable, and it's been very hard on my son and me. When I started working with Lease for Life, they quickly connected me to my current Landlord; I was so happy to stay local to my friends, family, and my son's nursery. Even then, I faced difficulties, but together, Lease for Life and Omar Harris from the Southwark Housing Team worked diligently to overcome all obstacles and make my dream of a secure home a reality. I cannot praise them highly enough for the hard work they put into securing me a home and the support they provided during the process.
Amber, you are an absolute pleasure to work with; your diligence, perseverance and overall understanding were wonderful to be a part of. You never gave up, adapted and communicated in such a kind and understanding way. Your support and kind words are very much appreciated. To Omarr Harris of Southwark, what a legend! I Was referred to Lease For Life by Southwark council after years of rotting away on their housing list. I Entered my details on the Lease For Life website and within two months the Lease for Life team phoned me with lots of exiting properties keen to arrange viewings. A month later I had the keys in my hand to my dream first property. All at an affordable rate and made possible by the zero deposit scheme that Lease For Life offer and of course the tenacity and sheer brilliance of the team there. Notably the wonderfully indomitable Karen. Who guided and walked me through every step of the way personally. Very handy considering this is my first flat (the funkiest of abodes)!Very happy and would recommend to anyone.Keep up the good work my lovelies!

I met the Lease For Life team at the lowest point of my life 5 months ago. Due to the pandemic I was unstable, had no home, couldn’t focus properly on my career and I wasn’t sure how to move forward with my life.
