Debby made us most welcome and over the time we spent with her she provided us with a clear and concise overview of the Cala ‘vision’ for the project. We had a site visit with Debby and the project manager, Craig, who showed us two of the houses we were interested in. Craig was equally interested in hearing what our needs are and he walked us through many of the technical aspects of the construction, materials etc and we were very grateful for his input. Both Debby and Craig were active listeners and for us it was time extremely well spent. They are excellent ambassadors for Cala and we would have no hesitation in contacting them again. The quality and attention to detail in the construction are exceptional, and the home is filled with fantastic features that have made settling in an absolute joy.A special shout-out to Matt, who went above and beyond to assist us with any issues or concerns. His dedication and tireless support made the entire process much smoother. We also want to commend the sales team, especially Caroline and Annie, for their kindness and for looking after us so well throughout our home-buying journey.We did encounter one member of the sales team who was a bit pushy, particularly as first-time buyers making such a significant decision. However, this was a minor hiccup in what was otherwise a very positive experience.Overall, Cala Homes have been terrific. We recently bought a Cala home at Saltcoats Grange (Gullane) and the experience start to finish, was absolutely amazing. We initially dealt with Laura and Debbie who were great.Danny (site manager) is absolutely fantastic and you know your new home is in extremely safe hands with him overseeing the build. He was always on hand to answer any technical questions we had and he was so thorough. Chloe (sales) joined Cala after we reserved our home and then looked after us during the rest of the process. Very great company, their ability to interact with customers is top notch. Met Karla (Not sure if I spelt that right😭) and Paul on 27/07/24 at around 16:30 for a house viewing. Paul took us round and into the house giving one of if not the best tour I’ve ever had while searching for a house. He explained everything in good detail and after we got back we spoke to Karla about every other thing and she was such a lovely lady. The houses there are exquisite and the best I’ve seen at their price point. The surroundings are absolutely lovely and the thought gone into construction and everything to the most minute detail is outstanding. Great experience and will love to be getting a house from them (branch in Chelmsford)

An excellent CALA development near Chichester

I recently visited the Rosebrook/ Hambrook CALA development, just west of Chichester. An impressive development with good site layout, surrounded by countryside, set in a small village close to railway line (0.5 miles) and Emsworth and Chichester easy driving (10-15mins). The sales consultant Georgina was very helpful during my two visits and showed me around the show house and then left me alone to go around the house for sale. She is very professional and knowledgeable and not all pushy, encouraging one to make the right decision for such an important purchase. I would certainly seriously consider the Magnolia type home in my preferred location of Waterlooville, so unfortunately I did not proceed to reserve. But CALA and Georgina are a great team and you will be looked after when you visit. Thank you Georgina... Nigel

CALA Craibstone Estate Apartment Experience

Recently purchased a new build CALA apartment in their Craibstone Estate in Aberdeen in December 2021. I have had nothing but positive experiences with the apartment, with the quality great in all fields.Obviously, coming toward the end of my two-year warranty, I had noted a number of snags that I had e-mailed customer service about and they accepted each item and assigned a worker (mainly painter) to sort. There was an issue with the roof, which led to having a joiner and subsequent painter come and resolve the issue.Each operative was very friendly, and my most notable experience was with the painter Alan Taylor who was very approachable, friendly, and went the extra mile to make it seem like my concerns mattered (including repairing an issue that was technically reported outside of my warranty period).I have nothing but praise for Alan and the wider CALA team, and I would struggle to move somewhere after receiving such positive care and experiences from the housebuilder. Very well done Alan and thank you for your help!

The sales team is fantastic this has to be said! The sales team were keeping us updated at every stage of this journey. The process of buying the home was smooth. However, there was a critical issue on the moving day (not entirely Cala's fault - Edinburgh Council is to blame for a large part). Cala implemented the emergency plan immediately and we were moved in the next day. It is very important to mention that the entire team is taking such a great care of us even though it has already been 2 months since we moved in to this property. The quality of the apartment is very very good, yes they were some snagging issues but they were minor compared to some stories we have heard from our friends and family (about Persimmon and David Willson) and Collin and Graham (Site Managers) who jump on the issues reported immediately. We really enjoy our new home. Now a special shout should go to Lisa. Lisa was playing a pivotal role for us in this journey. She was going above and beyond at times to help throughout this journey. We feel like we have made a new friend during this process and she has the biggest heart! Robert is another person from the team that deserves a special shout pretty much what we said about Lisa applies to Robert. Thank you to the entire team! We have been on this home selling/buying journey for what seems like a lifetime as we reluctantly made the decision to downsize after 30 totally happy years in the same property. We settled on Cala homes at Preston Glade, Linlithgow as the development ticked a lot of boxes. The staff on site have been superb and have made the difficult transition for ourselves so much easier through their honest and realistic input in terms of our preparedness to make that big change. Once we had sold our house Caroline & Susan gave us great advice and guidance in our house type choice and location and that support continued on throughout the whole process. Every few weeks we received updates on build progress and as decisions upon options and kitchen choices etc approached, they would send invites to attend site. Susan & Caroline work as a close knit team and both are so welcoming and friendly with great communications and to my mind are not ‘sales’ staff, but are more like ambassadors and professional advisors. There is never a time when we have felt rushed in any of our meetings and one important event is one where one ‘ambassador’ along with a site manager will spend 2 hours covering every possible aspect of the house you are buying - all extremely thorough.We cannot speak highly enough about the ‘sales’ staff at Preston Glade, not forgetting the ever cheery site staff Roddy and Stuart. Credit also needs to go to the staff at other local Cala developments who were all so helpful while we visited certain show homes. Well done to all!

We recently purchased a home from Cala at Calderwood and received excellent sales service. The team guided us throughout the sales and selection process, making it a smooth experience. Though it's too early to comment on the snagging process or after-sales service as we haven't experienced those yet, we have always admired Cala homes. We were particularly impressed with Blair, who took us around the site and provided a practical view of our future home. Site Manager Nathan is also very good at understanding customers and their expectations. Overall, we are very happy with their service during the sales and selection process.

Mould

I bought a new build and when I got my keys, the flat was not clean (as they said it would be professionally cleaned) and there was mould in all the rooms. We raised the issue with the sales team who seemed genuine and directed us to the customer services team. There were several snags before we even moved in and we then contacted the customer services team who were also less than helpful and not at all empathetic. This is the first home for my partner and me and it's a terrible start! Poor customer services to start with and who knows how the rest of the journey will go. Update:So the customer services team have since been in touch and things are moving forward. They're sorting stuff out on the "snag list" and have been kind enough to update me with the progress to allow me to move in.

Just purchased a new flat from Cala Homes in Kelvedon and have to say the service from first meet to completion and beyond has been exceptional! We are moving to a different country and our son is remaining in England. Cala Homes have high quality homes supported with professional, friendly and knowledgeable staff. James, Hannah, Daisy, Matt and Orlando went above and beyond expectations and feels more like family than a sales team. Assurances have been met and all is in place to ensure a smooth move forward from purchasing to ownership. We have reserved the house in Gilchrist garden development by Cala. Fraz and Lynsey (sale consultants) were absolutely amazing. I really appreciated the time they spend answering all of our questions. We never felt forced or rushed to make any decision regarding buying the house. They also arranged home demonstration , where Fraz went through the high specifications for the house and made sure that we know everything about our reserved home. In addition to good build quality of Cala homes it was assistance of Fraz and Lynsey which made the whole experience so nice.
