Extremely happy with our new home. We part exchanged and the whole experience from viewing the plot to exchanging keys has been very easy. Of particular note is the good incentives. 100% market value given for our part ex home and the LBTT paid. once a decision had been made to look in a particular location for a type of property which would suit me, it was easy to then look at Cala Homes new build site given the excellent web site description of the scheme. once my interest was gained, the sales team then helped by showing flats available, answering all questions and generally helping in making the decision to reserve.

Very disappointed in the way my partner…

Very disappointed in the way my partner and I were treated by Cala. We reserved a Plot after having sold our home in a short closed chain, as required by Cala. They decided to release the Plot as the sale in their opinion was taking too long. Even thought the Plot which was the show home was not ready to be occupied. Everything i had been told about the poor costumer service has been clearly evident in the appalling way we were treated by Cala Homes. I would not recommend this company to anyone.

Thank you Cala East for the work carried out

Just wanted to say that the service I have received from Sharon Trapp (Cala East) was fast and efficient. I had an issue with the walls on both sides of my staircase and Mark came to do the remedial work, which included repair cracks, fixing bulging nail heads and repainting where necessary. He did a brilliant job. He made sure that any mess was kept to bear minimum and left the house very clean and tidy. Thank you both.

Great service from the Chiltern team

I had a leak through my kitchen ceiling from an upstairs flat. Ritu from the Chiltern team was very helpful throughout, from arranging the initial work to find and stop the leak through to organising the repairs and redecoration. That work was carried out by Richard, who did an amazing job so that now you would not be able to tell that a week ago there was a big hole in my ceiling! Many thanks to both of them.

Mixed experience from sale to after sales and snags

Overall my experience was very mixed, breaking it down into several categories.PurchasingPurchasing experience was actually very simple and seamless, negotiations were fair and reasonable alongside being up to date with build progress etc.After sales and siteAfter sales and site were particularly very poor, I paid for myself a professional snag company to come in which was meant to be resolved by site before being handed over to customer care, the list itself was very conclusive but also not unreasonable, essentially various opportunities and missed deadlines and work needing to be done was largely due to poor site management and also Comms to the prospective contractors to remediate said snags.Customer careAgain mixed bag but recent and last experience with Kylie and Robby they were thorough and actually carried out their work with due care and attention.Works still outstanding and also director of customer care, Richard, isn't overly the must customer emphatic person to deal with.

They Don't Care

Cala Homes own Taylor Lane. Taylor Lane supplied the timber frame for my house, which was built by a different developer and more than two years on from occupation, remains unfinished because of structural issues. My building surveyor needed information from Taylor Lane, to confirm suspected issues and to move my build forward. I was invited to email Taylor Lane with my questions, which I did 'In Confidence'. Rather than help me, Taylor Lane advised that it would be informing the developer that has ruined our lives. In other words, future work trumps a family in distress.Update: Cala Homes is working very hard with Trustpilot, to remove the review, but not to help a family in distress.Update: My review makes clear that Cala Homes did not build my house, but it owns Taylor Lane, the company that fabricated the timber frame. However, neither Taylor Lane, nor its parent company Cala Homes, is willing to help me. Both companies are aware that my house builder has left me with a structurally unsound home, yet will not supply the structural design or loading calculations required to fix it!

3.5 years later still waiting for something/anything to happen. wouldn't take a lot of effort to make quite a bit of difference, but instead they continually choose to do nothing. vast amount of emails and phone calls, trip to their head office and demanded to be seen has all amounted to ... nothing our problem is with the shocking state that they left our estate groundworks in. (on a positive note and with credit where credit is due, we love our house)
