I have been lucky enough to have Will attend our property a few times in the last 12 months to complete snagging work.His work is always of great quality. He also goes over an above answering one of a hundred questions I tend to have when he is over.He is super friendly as well which is a great bonus when you have someone in your home for long periods of time.We have sometimes had issues with Cala since moving into our new build and times have been challenging. However the standard of service that Will provides makes up for some of those challenges.Thank you for everything you have helped us with over the months. You are an absolute asset to your company!

CALA DESTROY HISTORICAL BUILT HERITAGE FOR PROFIT AND DON'T CARE!

Wanton destruction of grade B listed structure on site with contractor backfilling NON structurally retained Grade B lime mortar rubble wall encircling whole site resulting with the Council having to erect a butress to prevent it from falling AND KILLING pedestrians in the ajoining park. Pedestran ramp contructed TOTALLY CONTRAVENING THE BUILDING REGULATIONS AND THE REGULATIONS QUOTED IN THE PLANNING APPLICATION. NO SITE SUPERVISION OF SUB-CONTRACTORS RESULTING IN DESTROYING LISTED STRUCTURES! DO NOT BUY CALA THEY ARE RUBBISH!Rubbish reply - you've been contacted numerous times by residents, the Member of Parliament and a Cllr from Edinburgh Council and you flatly ignore requests! As I said RUBBISH in every respect! DON'T BUY CALA UNLESS YOU WANT STRESS AND DEFECTIVE CONSTRUCTION WORK!

I honestly cannot fault Cala homes, from the lovely sales ladies Abby, Michelle, Jo and Lucy, to my customer service representative Hardeep to the site manager George and the maintenance operative Lee. The process of buying my house was completely seamless. Stress free, honest and a very customer friendly professional company. The few snags i had were sorted within a few weeks of me moving in, most by 1 lovely man and nothing was too much, at a time convenient to me and it has just been a really smooth and timely process. The care and attention to detail they put into each house is amazing and the ongoing site work has continued with minimal disruption to me. This company honestly go above and beyond and I'm so happy i chose to buy a Cala home!

We have only amazing things to say about the team at Cala Homes West Craigs in Edinburgh. Lisa, Robert, Jennii, and Louise have all been amazing from the start. We turned up at the showhome (without an appointment, which we should have made), and luckily Jennii had a spare moment to show us around. This was extremely appreciated and really got us excited about looking at Cala homes. She was very informative about the whole process and the options and offerings available. From reservation, the whole team were extremely helpful in answering however many questions that we had, and keeping us up to date with the progress of our home. Always happy, smiling and welcoming, the team really made us feel at ease, as being first-time buyers, we probably asked a lot more questions than normal!The moving-in day was extremely smooth and thank you to Cala for the lovely welcome gifts. We are now four days into our lovely new Cala home and looking forward to making many memories here. Terribly built property. No end of issues with the property and reluctance/refusal to rectify their poor workmanship. Garden left unusable and door handles falling off. If you’re considering purchasing a new build property from this developer. Think twice. If I were to sell you my property I’d be lying as to its quality. If these houses are still standing in 10 years time I’d be very surprised.Edit:Cala say below they’ve called and left a voicemail. They haven’t. Add “liars” to the list of faults with this company.

Fantastic home and service!

It's been three weeks now since we've moved to our new home/house (end-terraced) in CALA Kirkintilloch. The service from the sales team (Ellis, Carol and Joyce) was exceptional. Even after we've moved, we didn't feel we were a bother when we needed some information regarding Installation, Solar panel etc. We had a problem with our washing machine initially not fitting in to the space plus the plug point; Kyle, the Asst. Site Manager, helped and got his men to sort it out right there and then. We were very impressed with the care and service. My family and I are very happy with the standard of build, the incentives offered for us to move (part-exchange, lighting, turf, paid tax, etc). We thoroughly recommend this Home Builder. You will not regret it. Just when thought we couldn't, CALA made our dream of having our own fantastic new home come true in an equally fantastic area. Thank you.

Forceful use of my garden for scaffolding without paying for it, nonchalant fencing design and overall poor plot layout

Let me just say when you are buying a house from Cala, be cafeful they won't come to mount a scafolding in your garden and claim right on top of it because they are bigger than you.Beside the scaffolding they have bullishly mounted in our garden without paying for the use of our legally paid space, (just imagine how close this house is to the fence. So close they don’t have space to build it), they are the only builder I know that placed the fence wooden panels before the boundary nonchalantly. Every boundary fence that has a retaining brick done by other builders, they have put in the work and mounted the wooden fence panels on the brick wall to maintain the integrity of the boundary. But this has not been the case for Cala and when asked, they said it was a site wide issue and won’t correct it as if they are not the planners of the site and design. This has left us with parts of the neighbour's garden in our garden to maintain for live and parts of our garden in the other neighbour's garden.In fact if I know what i know now, I would NEVER have bought their house in good faith as I did. I would have asked for a 3d image of the plot, everything around it including the fence and even how neighbouring houses will be built. Very poorly designed plot layout as they try to squeeze houses in every inch of space that they end up compromising customer’s enjoyment of their own home. We can no longer open our toilet window because it looks directly into the neighbour’s garden. The ground level difference between our garden ground and the neighbour means that our first floor is almost on the same level as the Neighbour’s garden and the house is pitched so close to the fence and a towering 3 levels it completely becomes so intrusive. I completely regret buying this house off Cala because I cannot believe an architect really planned this plots as such.I bought this house a year ago and I am already thinking of moving.I will say to anyone reading this to look closely at everything surrounding the plot you are buying. They will not tell you the pitfalls and will do nothing to compensate you later. And as you know, they are a big company and you are just a small individual with no resource. If you are unhappy with the surrounding, you can never enjoy the house.

5 stars all down to Martin & Ryan, they are honestly have provided the best service from star to finish. We dealt with a few developers due to our bad luck and they made Cala be the best! They were always helpful, efficient , kind as well as additionally having the most warming personalities. We also felt so supported thought out, even when we hit blockers with the solicitors they even helped with this (And we all know how bad solicitors are these days) . We recently bought a house from Cala Homes at the Wintringham Estate in St Neots, Cambridgeshire. We were moving from New Zealand and so the move was potentially stressful and complex. However, Cala Homes were great. Once we found a house that we liked, Cala guided us through the process. We used their recommended solicitors and mortgage advisors. As a result we went from our first contact with Cala in March 2024 to moving into our new home on 31 May 2024. Whilst there were some "snags" after we moved in, Cala were easy to deal with and they were all rectified quickly.
