MY FRIENDLY PAINTERS

I had George and Alan in my house for three days completing my paint work , II have a Cala Townhouse so it requires two painters due to the high ceilings. I had previously met George a few weeks prior so I persnickety ask Cala if George could come back to complete the work as I found him so lovely and friendly, and just gets straight in there and does the job without any breaks, so when Alan turned up to work with him I thought he was just a gentle Giant , the two make a great team , just heads down and get the job done , thanks so much guys for being so professional and so nice to me , especially after what I have been through in the last two months , Great Teamwork Guys xx

Snaggingr

Cala sales team (Sara) and Connor who attended for our snagging appointment were both fantastic and always had a high level of professionalism along with being very personable when we bought! The after sales generic customer service is not as helpful and extremely slow at responding to any email queries. Scott (the joiner) and Connor (painter) were both brilliant and lovely to have in our home helping with 2 year snagging issues. They both went above and beyond and were happy to answer any questions and made sure everything was sorted for us.

Poor and disappointing customer service

My partner and I bought a flat in May 2023. At that time we were asked to check the property as this was a new build, we did and reported the silicon around all the window was coming off and windows are not sealed properly. We were told that this is an issue because it is a new build and that the whole building needs done. We waited, I then contacted Ross in September 2023 who said that work plan and that it should be done by the end of October 2023 the lates. When I asked again he told me that they are still working on it and that the from of the building was done. Which did not help me as the windows in my property haven’t been done. This has not been done to date. We have contacted Cala customer service and we were told that nothing has been reported. We were advised that this will now be reported and that someone will be in touch. No one has so we called again and we where told the same, that this was not reported and it will be and someone will be in touch. It’s been 3 weeks since we contacted customer service. It is very disappointing since the flat should still be under warrenty, that we are being ignored. Very poor customer service. Things only seem to be done during purchasing a property. I wouldn’t recommend buying with Cala nor I would consider buying with them again. They only seem to be professional and helpful before the purchase and not after

I really appreciate the work done by CALA and their prompt response and Service. I am really glad the quality of maintenance that they provide and would love to extend their 2 years warranty if there is a choice. Don't believe all the five star ratings…A Nightmare of Unprofessionalism and Dishonesty

Don't believe all the five star ratings on Trustpilot, these are for their sales team who are excellent at getting you to sign on the dotted line, the challenges will really start when you take ownership.We had multiple issues with the property which were eventually addressed after constant complaints to their onsite staff.There are still numerous problems across the estate with Cala trying to adapt existing plot boundaries to fit new plots, this was an admission by their own staff and is impacting quite a few of my neighbours.I'm having to deal with a dishonest Cala customer services team leader who requested access to my property to rectify a low fence (Cala got the height of the properties behind us wrong so all the fences need to be raised).I have her on record stating that remedial work would be done on the outside of our property and all they needed was access, instead customer service and contracts manager installed additional posts on my side of the property without my permission and refuse to remove it. It took 3 weeks to get them to just remove dangerously exposed bolts and nails and to make their work safe.I have sent multiple emails and made multiple telephone calls the their customer service centre with no success. The last correspondence was that the customer service and contracts manager deemed the work complete and has refused to respond to my emails and telephone calls. My last emails have gone unanswered and I was advised to make a complaint through a link on the website.Unfortunately, this complaint landed directly on the same customer service manager’s desk and I've been blocked by their staff from escalating this further as per their complaints procedure. I've tried reaching out to their regional Director and have had no response to my message three weeks ago.I am now having to find a fencing company to remove the posts and restore the fence to its original condition, then recoup the costs from Cala Homes.Sadly, Cala customer service believe they can do unauthorised work on someone's property and get away with it. Be careful and do some additional research before making a purchase from this company as they are a nightmare to work with.

Moving In

From the 24th October moving in to our new apartment date to present day we have found the Cala representative to be overwhelmingly helpful and supportive - always attending to our ongoing queries and/or requests for help in a timeous way. Terrible and unprofessional customer service, with very unknowledgeable site managers providing misleading information. The estate charges are excessively high. Residents often leave their cars on pathways instead of driveways, making it difficult to walk safely. I do not recommend buying houses here.

There's no place like home

From the moment I walked into the show home, it felt like home. From pre to post sale CALA have been great! Rebecca, my customer care contact, has been fabulous - always friendly, professional and courtesy. She returns my calls, keeps me updated on progress, etc. All the tradesman, Andy, Roger and a new guy who fitted my front door, really know their stuff, take their time to explain and finish the job with care and attention. Similarly, the external tradespeople they use. Overall, I'm super happy that I bought a CALA home.

Fantastic After Sales Support

The aftersales support team have been fantastic in helping fix a couple of accident damage items. Ricky very polite and considerate, arriving on time and working quickly and efficiently. With a little bit of humour, kept us informed of the stages of the repairs. The only sign he had been is the repair completed, ever where clean and tidy. Booking process was easy and simple with Rachel.So many other companies would leave you on your own after a year of being in your new home, not Cala. They are true to their word and support to the higher level.

Cala Home review after 2 years 9 months, Don't fall by looks of doors, windows..etc

Hi, I moved into my Cala home in December 2021 and have faced ongoing issues. While minor complaints were addressed initially, significant problems have arisen after 2 years when warranty ends.Property location: BeatriceMeadows Kirkintilloch For example, I've had to deal with boiler issues and faulty rainwater drainage, resulting in leaks and water damage. Recently burst pipe under sink (main water supply) and entire ground floor is full water. Despite these problems, Cala has not provided satisfactory solutions.Based on my experience, I cannot recommend Cala homes to others. The quality of their builds has been disappointing, and I've been extremely frustrated with their customer service.

Snobby Sales, What a let down!

Spoke to a wonderful Sales Rep during the week about acquiring a home on a development our family have fallen in love with. She was so helpful and lovely. I was excited to start my first home journey. Even when I said it would more than like be shared ownership. She was just happy for me! HOWEVER, I rang today and got someone else. I mentioned I had spoken to a rep and had some further questions. As soon as i mentioned shared ownership she could not get me off the phone quick enough! Kept trying to say bye. And had no interest what so ever in anything I would like to ask about the area or specifications on the home provided by Cala instead of S/O. She just didn't care.Wouldn’t recommend their service! If its like that now, what will the aftercare be like!

It’s all about the money and they are the worst communicators

We’ve been in our house for over three years and the buying experience was quite stressful. At the time we raised a complaint about how the sales lady made us feel (like lower class people who didn’t deserve a choice) and head office did deal with the situation well. Since then our house has been by major construction works to open up a new bypass - we were always aware of this and have lived next to a building site for three years. However when they began digging up the road the noise and disruption was unbearable and there was zero communication about the impact. My computer screen was vibrating off the stand, the glasses in my cupboards fell out and I now have severe cracking in the room that was closest to the works at the time. I have tried to raise a formal complaint to speak to someone twice and have so far heard nothing back. They also don’t reply to emails. Once they’ve got your money they couldn’t care for how they impact you or your life. I have video footage of the wrong digger being used and physically coming off the ground and down again causing my house to move. Be careful what you sign up to.
