First Class team at Cala Hamilton

We have been wanting a Cala house for some years now and when the opportunity arose to purchase one in our home town of Hamilton we couldn’t resist. From our first enquiry phone call a few months ago ,to reserving our dream home, the team of girls at Hamilton including Fiona, Emma and Lynsey have been fantastic. They have been so helpful and professional guiding us through every stage and keeping us updated on our journey. We have just completed our very informative IGM meeting with the girls and met Jordan the site Project Manager, who made us feel so welcome and have given us great confidence in our purchase. Looking forward to watching the progress in our new home.

Fantastic experience

Fantastic experience with our new detached home in Jordanhill park . Sales girls very attentive , site managers Sam & Martin very helpful from start to finish and all snags taken care off without debate . The team also went above and beyond on a few areas for us which they didn't have to . I find it hard to understand how anyone can not be impressed and great standard of luxury homes . We’ve lived in our Cala house for nearly three years and have been really happy with the quality of the house and the service. We recently discovered one of our windows was not shutting properly and messaged Cala to see if they could assist. It was out with the warranty period but Darren still arranged for a joiner to take a look. He came within a few days and was unable to fix it, but they agreed to get the window company to take a look- they managed to fix it within minutes. Was really grateful to Darren, who arranged this all so quickly and his communication was excellent. We always get a response quickly and they keep in touch until your issue is sorted. Thanks again

Get a snagging report before buying

They fill you with dreams of assured service and a guarantee of being looked after whilst you go through the sales process however once the process is done they don't want to know. I've been in my house for 5 years and suffer with crumbling mortar (a pandemic on this Cala development). Upon asking Cala to help... nah sorry mate, not our problem. The thing is, I know for a fact that other residents have had their houses corrected by Cala and even had cash settlements offered! GET A COMPREHENSIVE PROFESSIONAL SNAGGING COMPANY IN BEFORE BUYING FROM THEM!!

Little Brook Road Entrance Land Sale

When we moved into our new house in Little Brook Road, CALA said that the land at the entrance would be transferred to the residents.It tranpires that CALA never did this and have now sold the land to another party without giving the residents the chance to aquire the land. That company have since sold it on to another company. The Little Brook Road residents have paid for the upkeep of this land for over the 28 years and surely it was not CALAs to sell?Please investigate the legality of our position. Seems CALA are not to be trusted?

I have lived at Little Brook Road for over 20 years and for all that time the residents have maintained, at considerable cost the grass area as you enter the estate. It was understood that once the last house was built the land would be transferred to the Little Brook Road Management Company, however this was never done. It was brought to our attention that Cala had sold the land without giving any notice to the Management Company and that it has now been sold on yet again.Cala have treated the Management Company and residents of Little Brook Road with little respect by not having the decency to engage in meaningful dialogue.I would be very wary of buying from Cala after this experience.

We bought our Cala Home 28 years ago in Roydon. For 28 years we have communally paid for the upkeep of the open space to the estate being told by Cala had transferred it to our management company. They have suddenly now sold on the piece of land that over the years we as an estate have paid a fortune to maintain. They have refused to reply to any correspondence the management committee has sent to them and aren’t giving any answers at all why they saw fit to sell this land. Disgusted with Cala for their underhand handling of this. Wouldn’t recommend them to anyone.

Bought a house on a Cala estate marketed with open spaces to enhance the environment. Cala setup a management company to collect fees to maintain these areas at significant cost to the residents. Cala represented at the time of purchase that they would transfer this land to the residents in due course. Cala have recently sold the open space to a property speculator behind the back of the residents, then when rumbled, hid behind a wall of silence. A risky ploy if they built it themselves!Shocking customer service.Re Cala response - I'm not assured in the slightest, your legal team should have been digesting this for the last 4 weeks, unless emails and registered post letters from customers to your CEO are automatically deposited in 'Junk'

Downright dishonesty or honest mistake…

Dear Cala I see your reply is the standard "kick difficult reviews into the long grass and hope they dont come back" approach. On this occasion you don't have to ask Trustpilot anything but simply ask your own Chief Executive who has full information but has clearly put it in the "too difficult pile" rather than deal with it" . A prompt response now ( 5 weeks later) would be appreciated. Downright dishonesty or honest mistake ? Cala homes promised in the legal documents to give the owners of their Roydon estate the freehold to the common areas of the estate. Behind our backs they sold it to what many would call a speculator and despite corporate babble on their website about "We take great pride not just in our product, but also in the outstanding levels of service we give to our homebuyers" after 5 weeks and numerous calls and messages including to the Chief Executive not even an acknowledgement or promise to look into / or remedy the issue. Terrible.

Excellent customer care

We had a leak from our ensuite bathroom which necessitated removing the tiles. Having tried unsuccessfully to locate matching tiles (the house was built by Cala 8 years ago), I rang Customer Services in desperation. They couldn't have been more helpful, and returned my call within 24 hours to say they had tracked the same tiles to a firm in Spain. I ordered them from Spain and paid a hefty sum for a box of 11 tiles (I only needed 4) plus delivery, but they matched! Problem solved! I would, however, recommend that Cala install toilets where the cistern is not hidden behind a tiled wall.

We were recently visited by Connor Campbell who came to deal with some snagging issues regarding our bathroom door. He arrived on time and was very pleasant and courteous. He fixed the problem very quickly and then gave us reassurance regarding some of the other snagging issues yet to be fixed. He also took the time to adjust both of our external doors even though that was not his reason for coming to our house. MY FRIENDLY PAINTERS

I had George and Alan in my house for three days completing my paint work , II have a Cala Townhouse so it requires two painters due to the high ceilings. I had previously met George a few weeks prior so I persnickety ask Cala if George could come back to complete the work as I found him so lovely and friendly, and just gets straight in there and does the job without any breaks, so when Alan turned up to work with him I thought he was just a gentle Giant , the two make a great team , just heads down and get the job done , thanks so much guys for being so professional and so nice to me , especially after what I have been through in the last two months , Great Teamwork Guys xx
