View Agentsleaves me completely hassle free.
Due to a change in my sons plans I ended up needing to rent a property in Wakefield,quite a long way from where I live. I decided to rent it out via the full service provided by Movenowproperties and since september 2009 they have managed the property for me.
During that time, Amanda, Sam and Sue have seen to everything. The property has never been without tenants and the ones selected have always been good, never any issues with payments or damage etc.
They have always advised of any necessary works and have always had these carried out economically by locally qualified tradesmen., keeping me informed as necessary. They have also kept me up to date with necessary legislation.
To conclude, my wife and I rent out three properties, one we manage ourselves, one with a nationally recognised company but the easiest of the lot for us is the on we rent via Movenowproperties.

GoogleA totally dishonest Agency that works against the very purpose (rent/sell) you hire them for.
Please find a letting agency that will be honest, fair and act in your best interest - at least for the money you pay.
FOR TENANTS - They exploit tenants and their rights by making them sign disproportionate contracts that favour landlords. They write false, inaccurate and misleading move-in details and you might not notice it until you check every line when moving in. Later, your money will be withheld for things you have nothing to do with.
Have been charged for service that was not rendered and did not return the money back. Think twice before you use this agency.
FOR LANDLORDS - They are not good to the Landlord either. They put all the liabilities on your head (costs, repairs, service fee etc.) while securing their fee at all cost (even at your loss). Also, they do not like landlords to get in touch with tenants for the fear that they will develop a cordial relationship (which is a bane to them). Though it is your property and you benefit from a cordial relationship with the tenant (and the house gets maintained well due to that good relationship|), they throw every trick in their book to prevent you from it. They also abandon you when there is a problem.

Oh - wow. What an accusation and lie pulled out of the clouds. If what you claim is even 1% true, could you please upload the evidence (court order for eviction) for all of us to see?
This is exactly why you want to avoid this agency. They are hell bent to twist things, demonize you and lie - just to create the false positive image for the business.
Well, landlords and tenants, save yourself trouble. Their true colours have been exposed.

GoogleI am looking to sell my house and was considering this agency. I have decided not to go ahead with them for 2 reasons.
1. Upon inquiry, they do not seem to be competent nor sincere to sell houses profitably. They could not answer many of my basic questions of how they have sold so far and showed dislike for questioning. It made me very suspicious. They are also very pushy.
2. I have observed that they delete and discredit negative reviews repeatedly. This i think is just the tip of the iceberg of their bad service and attitude
Why would an agency delete reviews rather than correct themselves and serve customers well?
After all, my house is the fruit of years of toil. I am not going to hand it over to such an agency.
I am not taking a chance with this agency and going to look for another agency who is credible and competent.

So I had my heart set in a property on Monday last week I rang up to put a holding fee down the agents told me I couldn’t and that I had to view it first. I used to be a letting agent and I knew I could just put a holding fee down.
I viewed the property on the Thursday and then again on Friday. I called them on Saturday to again put my holding fee down. They told me I couldn’t do this and to ring up on Monday!
I rang Monday morning to be told someone would call me straight back an hour later they hadn’t so I called them. Only to be told the house has been let by someone else.
I was fuming so I put a one start review on google this Monday I had taken the funds off my credit card to pay them £1500 and so now I had to pay all the money back on plus a charge. On Tuesday they called me up to ask me to remove my review.
I later found out the property was available and they told me we do not want to let it to you.
As a former lettings agent their telephone manner is disgusting their time keeping is horrendous and they tell you what you want to hear.
Their agents don’t know anything about the properties they are showing or know nothing about the area. They don’t even look smart.
And you trust your home with these people?
They turned me down for a property because I left a review after they cost me money and then blamed it on the landlord of the property!
As you can tell from their response they are not professional in anyway they treat and speak to you like rubbish and then act like the victim.
Extremely unprofessional practice.

The referencing failed as you / your partner was in rent arrears at your current property at the time I am afraid. Due to this we were unable to proceed.
The reservation fee is a none refundable which you were aware of, it was also stated in the application forms you both signed.

I moved into a property let from move now properties and it was the worst 6 months of my life, they never carried out any work that needed doing and then had the cheek to say I'd broken things and expected me to pay for a cleaner after moving out when I'd scrubbed the flat clean! They checked my property every 6 weeks and told me this was routine! I could never settle and then I officially said I was leaving as I found out I was pregnant and was struggling financially and Sam the estate agent constantly rung me expecting money off me and was so rude, then it came to handing the keys back and they arranged to meet at a certain time then thought it was acceptable to go show someone else round whilst I'd being waiting 45 minutes to give the keys back! I tried to explain my financial situation and the attitude I got back was disgusting telling me she didn't care if I was pregnant or what I was going through! They then proceeded to take my bond and left me with nothing.
I will never let or buy a property from this agent again!

I am extremely sorry to read your feedback and can only apologise you feel you were treated unfairly by myself and Movenowproperties.
I would however like to point out a few facts to those reading our reviews.
You signed a 6 months tenancy for a property we had to let. On month 4 you advised you wished to break your contract and move out. As a gesture of goodwill from the landlord we re-advertised the property so we could find a new tenant to move in allowing you to break your contract once a new tenancy commenced. Unfortunately you did not commit to your tenancy agreement and you did not make your final rental payment on month 4 or 5.
I tried contacting yourself and your guarantor on several occasions as you couldn't make a payment arrangement. Once you handed your keys back we agreed if you couldn't make your final rental payment the amount would be deducted from your bond.
With regards to the property inspection I am very confused as we only carried out 2 properties inspection in the 5 months you lived there. One at 6 weeks into your tenancy and another at the end of your tenancy which was a final property inspection. As part of our service to our landlords is to carry out a property inspection after the first 6 weeks of your tenancy then at the end of each tenancy agreement / renewal unless there is cause for concern on the initial inspection.
According to our records you never reported any problems but we would however like to hear from you about these so we can make sure they are not ongoing to effect any future tenants or problems to the property.

I rented a house from Move Now and mostly they didn't seem bad. They were a bit slow to come in and sort issues and their charges were high, though from what I have seen, probably about average. The trouble came when I moved out though. They tried to blame me for damage to the house which hadn't been there when I moved out and tried to keep a large chunk of the deposit. Fortunately they were ruled against and I eventually received the money back, but I would never trust them again.

I am very sorry to hear you left as a unhappy tenant but I do appreciate your feedback.
I would like to take this opportunity to advise you the process of the Deposit Protection Service (the company who held your bond)
As we take your bond on behalf of the landlord we have to work for them and request the bond to be deducted as they request, even if we do not agree with them. (This information can be verified by speaking to The Deposit Protection Service 0370 7071677)
I appreciate the end of your tenancy did not end well and the landlord requested we deducted money from your bond.
As a company who fully manage properties as part of our service to the tenant we insist the bonds must be held with the DPS. This is so if landlords try to take money from your bond which they are not entitled to, your money is protected and the DPS decide who the money should be refunded to. In your case they agreed and you received the bond back.
We do this in the hope that tenants understand it is not ourselves trying to keep your money.
I do hope you understand now that we did not try to keep your bond and if you do agree to our comments it would be greatly appreciated if you were to amend your review.
